  1. Using a computer

A standard PPPoE connection is used to connect to the network. The first step is to make sure the modem is functioning. Often such equipment loses the signal coming from the telephone line. Look at the signal reception indicator for some time (all modems of this “format” have it). If it blinks, you need to restart the device. The easiest way is to hold down the Reset button and wait a few seconds. If the modem is working properly, the indicator should glow continuously without interruption.

Be sure to check if the cables have come loose. Visually, this is sometimes invisible. Disconnecting the cable by half a millimeter is enough for the Internet to fail.

  1. Without using a computer (when the device acts as a router)

You must work with the device control panel. You need to make sure that the connection parameters are correct, then turn the transmitting device on and off. If error 651 does not disappear, you need to reset the settings to factory settings (this will not negatively affect the quality of the Internet connection). The Reset button is pressed for about 20 seconds. If the reset does not lead to anything, either the modem has very serious “internal problems”, or it is absolutely working, the problem is not in it.
