After submitting the application, an engineer will call to coordinate the day and time of Internet connection. Engineers contact the customer within 24 hours after submitting the application. They are open from 9am to 9pm, including Saturday and Sunday.

Rostelecom Internet connection work is carried out free of charge and includes:

Laying cables along risers from the provider's equipment to the subscriber's apartment.
Installation of cable channels in areas of open wiring to the subscriber's apartment.
Ensuring cable entry into the subscriber's apartment by drilling (the location is indicated by the subscriber).
Demonstration of Internet access on a work computer.
Drawing up contracts, additional agreements, acts, login and password to access your personal account.

Typically, Rostelecom does not require Internet setup - the provider supplies its subscribers with already configured equipment, which only needs to be connected to the telephone line.

If a high-speed connection is made via Ethernet, then the subscriber’s equipment is configured by a Rostelecom specialist.

Subscribers must perform the following operations:

Set up Internet distribution via Wi-Fi;
Connect additional equipment to the router/modem (tablets, laptops, smartphones);
Install the equipment in a convenient place (for example, on a shelf, or mount it on the wall).

If the user decides to use the services of the Rostelecom provider, setting up the Internet will be quite simple. The exception is cases when subscribers independently purchase a router or modem after the arrival of a specialist. In this case, users have to make the settings themselves.

Setting up mobile internet

How to set up an Internet connection on a Windows 10 computer

Configure ADCL modem

go to the “settings” of the modem, find the WAN configuration option, go to it.
Specify the connection name (any name that comes to mind), enter the login and password, which are specified in the agreement concluded with Rostelecom.
Specify the VPI and VCI parameters, which can be found by calling the provider’s technical support.
Press the “Save” button and reboot the equipment.
Next, you need to pay attention to the modem indicators: after a few seconds, the Internet connection indicator should light up.

If the subscriber uses an ADSL router with Wi-Fi instead of an ADSL modem, you will need to complete the Internet settings by launching the wireless access point. This must be done through the WLAN configuration item. The name of the point must be indicated, WPA2-PSK encryption must be specified, and a unique access password must be specified so that other users cannot unauthorized use the Internet.

The provider's employee's task is to verify the correctness of the connection characteristics that the PC independently sets. If the characteristics are not entirely correct, the master changes them.

After all, the company is one of the leaders in its industry. Therefore, if you have at least a relatively modern computer, you don’t actually need to do anything. To set up Internet from Rostelecom, you just need to insert the cable into the network card slot. Your Internet is set up!

As soon as your home has the ability to connect via an optical line, give up your landline phone. At the same time, you will get faster speeds at a better price. In the meantime, ADSL from Rostelecom remains the only available channel where it is not technically possible to install optical fiber.
