Velcom subscribers are often interested in the question of how to call the operator. Many subscribers do not know all the ways to contact the operator, which is why such questions arise.
There are three ways to contact the operator, let's talk about each method.
In addition to the methods, there are numbers by which you can contact the operator. 150 is a single call center number.
It is free for all operators in Belarus. If you want to call from a Velcom SIM card, here is the number: 7100. If your phone is in roaming, then payment will be made depending on the tariff, and the call must be made to the number +375(29)600-01-50.
Coverage area
The Velcom company provides services throughout Belarus.
In 2010, it began to deploy a 3G network, and in 2021, an ultra-modern data transmission technology called UMTS-900 was launched, which contributed to the final expansion of coverage area and improvement of the quality of mobile Internet within Belarus. 99% of the state's population today have the opportunity to make calls in HD format, as well as use high-speed Internet.
Communication quality is one of the main indicators for the Velcom operator. The company regularly plans frequencies and monitors network quality. The work is entrusted exclusively to highly qualified specialists who have trained in the best European companies.
Cost of calls to Belarus
Although Belarus is Russia's closest neighbor, calls there are quite expensive. If you do not connect additional services, then a minute for all major Russian operators costs about 30 rubles.
For more profitable calls, you need to connect international call services to CIS countries. The cheapest calls to Belarus to any operator are from MTS. When connecting, a minute will cost 20 rubles. In this case, a monthly fee of 50 rubles is charged. The service for cheap calls to Belarus can be easily activated by dialing the USSD command * 111 * 902# on your phone or in your personal account.

How to call Belarus on a mobile phone
There are 3 large mobile operators in Belarus: MTS, Life, Velcom. The Belarusian cell number consists of 12 digits and looks like this:
+ [country code 375] [operator code - 2 digits] [subscriber number - 6 digits]
Just like in Russia, it is easy to determine whether a number belongs to an operator by its prefix:
- 291, 293, 294, 296, 299, 44 — Velcom
- 292, 295, 297, 298, 33 — MTS
- 25 - Life.
However, in Belarus there is also a service for porting numbers from one operator to another, so recently the accuracy of determination by prefix leaves much to be desired.
So, to call Belarus from mobile to mobile, it is enough to know the subscriber’s number in international format; no additional actions are required.
Services
Subscribers have access to various services designed to make using the operator’s services as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Main range of services:
- Voice connection;
- data transfer;
- sending SMS and MMS messages;
- voice mail;
- Caller ID.
In addition to standard options, additional services are available to customers, for example:
- roaming from Velcom and making international calls;
- stable mobile internet;
- antivirus;
- Wi-Fi Velcom;
- making video calls;
- various business services (coordinator, M2M, and so on);
- monitoring capability;
- entertainment (installation of applications, Melofon).
How else can you call Belarus?
Obviously, if you need to communicate a lot with friends and relatives, calls at 20-30 rubles per minute will not allow you to do this. But there are alternative communication methods with which you can communicate much cheaper and even free:
- Calls via the Internet - we are talking about the Skype program, video calls via WhatsApp or Telegram. You can communicate for free; only the Internet traffic of both parties is consumed. The downside is that communication applications must be installed on both subscribers. Therefore, for communicating with your grandmother, for example, this method is not always suitable.
- Calls through special applications - Voipscan, Yolla and others. By installing the application, you can call any number via the Internet, and it will be cheaper than through a mobile operator. Voipscan, for example, costs 12 rubles. in a minute. At the same time, a subscriber in Belarus can receive a call even without the Internet, that is, through such applications you can make calls to the most remote and inaccessible villages, to subscribers of tariff plans without the Internet. The connection quality is very stable.
Other methods of communication
You can contact the operator to quickly resolve issues through the “Help and Support” tab. Here we select the “Ask a Question” option and fill out the form. It indicates the full name, telephone number where consultation is required, and writes the question itself. If necessary, you can attach up to 5 files, no more than 5 MB in size.
The website page also has a link to social networks, where Velcom consultants will promptly answer questions.
If you have questions about coverage, select the appropriate box and fill out the form. It indicates detailed information about yourself, the phone number about which the question arose, and formulate the question itself to the operator.
How to call from Belarus to Russia
If you call in the opposite direction, that is, from Belarus to Russia, you must follow the same international dialing rules, but take into account that the international code of Russia is +7.
When calling from a cell phone, you only need to dial the subscriber number (11 digits) of the form +7 9xx XXX XX XX. When calling from a landline to a landline, you must dial:
8-10-7 [this is the country code] - [city code] - [subscriber number].
To call from a landline to a mobile phone you need to dial:
00 (this is an intercity connection) - 7 - subscriber number (10 digits).
If the code 00 does not work, that is, the connection is not established, you should check with your provider how to make an international call from your home phone.
Internet
In Belarus, Velcom is the largest company providing customers with fixed Internet access. Each subscriber can use high-speed Internet around the clock, the basis for the distribution of which is the operator’s own network. It covers all regional settlements and district centers.
International call to a mobile phone from a home phone
From your home phone you can even dial mobile phones that are owned by other states.
To do this, you should follow the uniform rules for dialing international numbers:
- The constant 8 is at the head of the entire combination.
- We connect internationally using combination 10 - this is the international access code.
- Next comes the country code.
- The city code of the foreign power (for dialing home users) or the cellular operator to which the subscriber is assigned.
- And at the end - the mobile subscriber number itself.
It will be useful to view
:
As you can see, there is nothing complicated about this. But it is worth noting that you should still write down your mobile number somewhere, since it is not always possible to remember long combinations of numbers.
As for country encodings, numerous telephone directories, which are available in any post office, will come to help. Also, many sites on the World Wide Web are saturated with such information.
For example, here are some codes of the CIS and Baltic countries:
We have also collected information about other popular destinations in Europe:

Calling a subscriber internationally is not a cheap service - so be prepared for the fact that if the conversation is planned to be long, after some time the telephone company will send an invoice for a tidy sum. To avoid this, you can make calls from a mobile phone that has a tariff plan for such cases.
Features of rooms in Belarus
Cellular operator prefixes differ not only because the services are provided by different companies, but also because they use different networks to provide mobile telephony. The numbers at the beginning of the 12-digit number also include the international country code.
- +375 — country code;
- XX - combination of the provider itself;
- the remaining 7 digits are the mobile number.
In some cases, operators may use the same code. In such cases, the next number is clarifying and helps determine which company the phone belongs to. For example, this happens with MTS and Velcom customer numbers.

Other operator codes
In addition to the companies mentioned, there are several more companies that provide their services to clients and officially sell SIM cards with a certain combination of numbers. They deal not only with mobile communications, but also with telephony (Beltelecom), so the code directly depends on the type of device for which its own line is connected or a SIM card is activated.
- Life — +375 25;
- Beltelecom - +375 24.
There used to be an operator called Diallog, but the company went out of business. The full code of the communication provider along with the international prefix was: “+375 29 4”. At the moment, such numbers are not serviced; you cannot call them from the network of any provider in the country.
Diallog was the third company to use the “29” combination, along with MTS and Welk.
Like all other operators in the world, companies providing communications in the Republic have different codes that allow you to understand which mobile network a certain phone belongs to. In addition to the international prefix designating the country, companies have their own combination that makes their SIM card numbers recognizable. Some companies have the same codes, so they add additional numbers to be able to provide communication services without problems.
