Cellular operator codes are a unique identifier consisting of three digits, which can be used to accurately determine which network the calling subscriber belongs to. And while it’s not difficult to find out the codes of popular networks, little-known companies have numbers that confuse subscribers. To prevent this from happening, let’s dot the i’s.

Codes and dialing order

Today there are 6 operators in Ukraine.
Three of them operate in the GSM range: Kyivstar, MTS and Life. Only TRIMOB has 3G coverage in all regions of the country (this is another operator). Well, there are only two CDMA operators: Intertelecom and PeopleNet. The code for a mobile phone to Ukraine, in any case, begins with the country code, which in this case is: +380. Ukrainian mobile operators and their numbers

The total number of Vodafone IDs are assigned to them and are considered valid at the moment. Since the time the name of the company changed (previously it was MTS), both the operating principle and the capabilities of the mobile operator have changed. The list of tariffs has acquired decent services, the Internet has improved, and the audience has noticeably expanded. Also praiseworthy is the communication coverage, which has improved noticeably.

Currently, the mobile operator has several functioning identifiers, but the development team is working on additional code. Available ones include:

“099” is one of the most common codes, which was intended to work with all brands of the older UMC organization. Of course, the identifier is quite young, but this does not hinder its popularity.
“066” is a representative of ancient identifiers, which began its existence in the 2000s under the leadership of. The story goes that the communication line was designed mainly for the younger generation, since at that time the starter packages had fashionable options.
“095” is also one of the most popular codes that appeared in the early 2000s. It was aimed at raising the ratings of the initial organizations Jeans and UMS, but the companies were soon closed.
“050” is the oldest and most famous company identifier at the moment. He was a pioneer in UMC and was distinguished by the fact that at that time he introduced many convenient services (anniversary package, Christmas package, etc.)

The next most famous organization is Kyivstar. One of the most famous codes is the combination “039”, as it appeared earlier than the others. The rest include:

"096" is the first decent identifier to appear in the Dijus division.
“098” is an equally popular combination that includes a huge customer base.
“097” is the second identifier used by the Dijus subsidiary. At the moment it is widely known throughout the country.
“068” was previously a code belonging to Beeline, and is currently included in the list of Kyivstar property. A shutdown is expected soon.
“067” is the very first and most popular code of the Kyivstar company, which has collected a huge customer base in Ukraine. Currently, it provides contracts with special conditions for new users.

The next telecom operator is the youngest and most promising. Refers to the Turkish Cellular Telecommunications Organization. Currently, the client audience numbers over 8 million people. “093” is the second most popular identifier, which has considerable success. It is still sold to this day in any mobile service.

From landline to mobile

First, let's figure out how to call Ukraine on a mobile phone from a landline phone. The previously mentioned “+” symbol does not work on stationary devices. Therefore, to make an international call, you need to dial the code 810. Then we wait for long beeps on the phone - this means that we have gained access to the line for making international calls. Next, dial the country code - 380. Then dial the operator code and the seven-digit number of the called subscriber. For example, a call to an Intertelecom subscriber number requires dialing the following sequence of numbers: 810 (international line access) – 380 (Ukraine code in international format) – 94 (operator code) – xxxxxxxx (seven-digit subscriber number).

To determine which operator a phone number belongs to, you need to look at the 2 digits following the code “+380 YY ”, this will be the operator code. Then check the code with our complete list of all mobile operators, which is below, and you will find out whose number it is.

From mobile to mobile

Now let’s figure out how to call Ukraine on a mobile phone from a mobile phone. In this case, the dialing algorithm becomes much simpler. Instead of 810, dial “+” (access to an international line). Next, the country number is dialed, which, as in the previous case, is 380. This is followed by the operator code and the number of the called subscriber. For example, to make a call to a Kyivstar subscriber with code 39, you need to dial the following combination: +38039ХХХХХХХ (the last 7 digits are the number of the called subscriber). After you finish dialing, you must remember to press the call button on your mobile phone or smartphone (it has a green handset on it).

Don't forget that to make a call you must have a certain amount of money in your account. Therefore, before making a call, we check the account status and, if necessary, top it up. The same condition applies to making a call abroad from a mobile phone. But landline phones do not have this disadvantage. As a rule, services are provided in advance, but the bill for services still arrives at the end of the month. So you will still have to pay for previously provided services. The only difference is that in the first case (call from a landline) payment will be on credit, and in the other two cases - on prepayment.

WhatsApp allows you not only to send messages, but also to make calls. For local communication, calls remain free, and the user pays for the services of the cellular operator. Users are faced with questions when calling to Ukraine, whether they should overpay, or whether the call remains free.
