Secret PIN and PUK codes

Entering, changing or disabling your PIN

For your convenience, the PIN1 code is not automatically requested when turned on. To provide additional protection for your SIM card from unauthorized use, the PIN1 code can be changed (see the instructions for your phone).

Incorrect PIN entry

If you enter PIN1 incorrectly three times in a row, the SIM card will be blocked. To unlock your SIM card, you need to use the code PUK1 (8 digits).

PIN2: special phone functions

If your phone supports special features, the PIN2 code will protect them from being disabled/changed. This code can also be changed like the main PIN. If you enter PIN2 incorrectly three times, you can only unlock access to special functions using the PUK2 code.
