Beeline SIM card validity period and blocking procedure if not used

A phone number is assigned upon the initial purchase of a contract and the start of work in our network. It is indicated in the annex to the Agreement.

Don't be afraid to lose old contacts when purchasing a new number! Connect and by calling your old number, your friends will be able to receive information about your new number in the form of a voice message or SMS.

If you can no longer use your SIM card (it's broken or lost) or you need to change your standard SIM card to a micro-SIM or nano-SIM, we will restore or replace it for free! Just contact our offices.

When visiting the office:

The client - an individual, the owner of the number under the contract, must have a passport with him

A representative of a legal entity - a passport, a power of attorney from the organization to replace the SIM (form M-2), a completed application certified by the seal of the organization and the signature of the general director

While using your cell number, various changes are possible, for example, changing the owner, temporarily suspending the use of the number, or prohibiting the identification of your number. Read detailed information in this section.

All subscribers know that if you do not use your cell number for a long time, the operator can block it. In this case, it may not always be possible to reactivate it if the number has already been reissued and found a new owner. That is why it is important to monitor the validity period of your number so as not to lose it if not used for a long time.

Today we will tell you how long it takes for a Beeline mobile operator SIM card to be blocked: why, when blocked, the number balance can become negative, and how to avoid this complete shutdown of the SIM card.

Blocking a new SIM card

Lose the purchased number without even starting to use it? And this also happens. Regardless of how much and at what tariff a person buys a SIM card, it has an expiration date. Typically, such information is indicated on the packaging of the starter kit on a sticker with a phone number.

However, SIM cards are not always sold in packaging, and this is especially true for replacing a SIM card. In this case, you should independently calculate the period during which you can activate the SIM card.

Problems with PUK

If you enter your PIN code incorrectly multiple times, your number may be automatically blocked. If it is impossible to find out the card password, then you can solve the issue with the PUK code.

ProblemSolution
Recovery with PUKDial **05*PUK1 code on your phone*enter a new PIN code separated by a space*repeat “PIN” and complete #. Confirm your actions. After this easy procedure, PIN1 will be restored. Try to access the card. If everything is done correctly, the SIM card will quickly unlock and you can use it.
Loss of all codesIf you lose all possible codes, it is impossible to solve the blocking problem yourself. However, if the invalid SIM card belongs to you personally, then a visit to the nearest office will eliminate all problems. Presenting your passport, write an application to unblock the card. If you use a corporate number, in the application we indicate all the company data, including tax identification number and legal address.
Entering an incorrect PUKIf you enter the PUK code incorrectly more than 10 times, the SIM card is considered irrevocably blocked and must be replaced. Therefore, if the user has forgotten the password, it is better for him to immediately visit the Beeline office and write a request to unlock the card.

The article discussed all the reasons for blocking and ways to restore a Beeline card. If you cannot independently determine or solve your problem, you can always contact any Beeline point where you will receive free help from specialists.

Disabling a number in use

It’s not just the new SIM card that is disabled when the subscriber doesn’t activate it. This can happen on a number used by the subscriber every day. Why does this happen, and how to avoid it?

In this case, it all depends on the tariff used. For package offers that have a mandatory payment, blocking is possible only if there are no funds on the balance. So, if there is no money to pay for packages, then the ability to make calls from it, send messages, and use data transfers is suspended. Only incoming messages remain available. But if you don’t unblock the number within six months, it will be completely disconnected.

To transfer a number to an active state, you simply need to top up the balance of the number you are using. It is worth considering that you need to pay a fee not only for subsequent days of use, but also for those that the number remained blocked.

But when using tariffs without mandatory payments, you may encounter not only blocking, but also debiting of funds from your balance. For such tariffs the “ninety days” rule applies.

If during this period you do not use paid services on your number, then the fee for maintaining it begins to be charged. Payment is withdrawn daily in the amount of five rubles. Once the balance reaches zero or a negative value, the account is blocked.

Voluntary blocking

Not only the mobile operator can disable the SIM card, but also the Beeline subscriber himself, if necessary. So, you need to temporarily not use the number. You can contact support or through the self-service system and order voluntary blocking.

It is worth considering that for this to happen, your balance must have a positive balance. If the tariff has a mandatory payment, whether it will be charged during this period or not depends on the tariff used. The general rule for all tariff packages is that they are not charged if the blocking lasts for a full calendar month.

Separately, it is worth noting that when using the “My Beeline” system, you can not only order a temporary blocking, but also select a period. By specifying the desired date, the unlocking will occur automatically. In other cases, you will need to contact the operator by phone, in a salon, or through the self-service system, and resume using the number.

Each subscriber, purchasing a card for making calls, asks the question, how long is it valid? Some subscribers use one SIM card for quite a long time, since there is still a service for saving especially important data on the card. To determine how long the card has an expiration date and when you need to consider replacing it, you need to consider the structure of the microdevice.

Reasons and methods for unblocking the network

SIM card blocking is possible due to the following factors:

  • Availability of debt on a personal account;
  • Prolonged (more than 6 months) inactivity;
  • Incorrect entry of PIN or PUK codes (3 incorrect entries for PIN and 10 entries for PUK);
  • Blocking the SIM card at the user's request (in case of a long business trip or loss of the phone).

What to do if the card is blocked due to one of the listed factors? Below is how to restore access to your Beeline card.

Megafon SIM card service life

The SIM card is responsible for the quality of the connection and the network level in the mobile phone. The base of the card is plastic, and in the center there is a small chip board. It is its external condition that will determine how long the megaphone SIM card will be valid.

The chip has special grooves, which, when in contact with the contacts in the slot, are read, which leads to stable operation of the SIM card and a moderate level of the mobile network signal.

However, any chip tends to wear out, especially if you have to frequently change the phone or remove the chip. After about 7 years, the device may break down - this is the service life of a Megafon SIM card. However, replacing this board is completely free at any megaphone office, therefore, you should not be afraid of losing all your contact information and your usual phone number - all the data will already be on the new SIM card.

Cockroaches in the heads

Banki.ru continues to debunk legends and myths of mobile communications

By publishing the first part of “legends and myths”, we thought that we had sorted out all (or almost all) issues related to mobile communications. No matter how it is. There is at least one more similar article on the way. In the meantime, we tried to answer the questions whether mobile communications affect cockroaches and how much radiation smartphones emit.

Cockroaches became extinct from mobile phone radiation

The answer to one of the strangest myths: definitely not. Insects whose ancestors existed in the Paleozoic and survived the Great Dying are unlikely to be bothered by radio waves. In other words, if cell phone radiation had killed cockroaches, humanity would likely have gone extinct much sooner. The reason for the decrease in cockroach numbers lies not in mobile phones, but in modern contact insecticides: insects carry them on themselves, spreading the poison within the population. A couple of bottles of this insecticide are quite capable of ridding an apartment building of cockroaches.

There is a “super SIM card” with which you can make calls for free and hide your phone number

The story of a SIM card, with which you can make calls for free, appeared only a little later than mobile communications itself. The geography increased: the owner did not need to think about roaming. Then the SIM card learned to work as an anti-caller ID, hide the owner’s calls from intelligence services, change its identifier (IMSI), and then the IMEI of the phone. Today, this urban legend is cultivated by scammers: a SIM card can be “purchased”, and its cost depends only on the greed of the seller and can be either 100 dollars or 10,000 euros.

Operators limit Internet speed because it is not profitable for them to issue more

This statement contradicts itself: to understand its absurdity, it is enough to remember exactly how mobile operators “sell the Internet” to their subscribers - in packages. The faster the subscriber uses up the gigabytes included in the package, the sooner he will have to connect an additional Internet package. First of all, slow Internet is disadvantageous for the operators themselves.

Smartphone radiation is stronger if the smartphone has two SIM cards

First, you need to understand the technical characteristics of the gadget. There are two types of dual-SIM devices: with one radio module or with two. In the first case, one smartphone “radio transmitter” serves two SIM cards simultaneously. Without getting into the technical weeds, you can simply say that at a specific unit of time only one SIM card “works” for you. This does not affect the functioning of the phone in standby mode, but if you are talking on one SIM card, you will not be able to receive a call on the second one. Thus, we cannot talk about any increase in radiation.

But what about gadgets that have two radio modules - one for each SIM card? In fact, they are needed not for simultaneous conversations on both SIM cards (which is simply inconvenient), but so that, to exaggerate, the subscriber does not miss a call to one number while the smartphone is re-registering another in the cellular network. In addition, if a user who is already on the phone receives a call to the second SIM card, the caller will not hear a message indicating that the subscriber is out of network coverage.

The phone emits a lot of radiation while searching for a network

Another contradictory statement. Why does the phone need to emit something when it needs to find the radiation from the base station? Perhaps the myth owes its appearance to the fact that in network search mode the gadget discharges a little faster. In fact, the transmitter does not work at these moments, but the receiver, on the contrary, works more than usual, which leads to increased battery consumption.

The better the reception, the greater the radiation from the phone or base station

I would like to complete the topic of electromagnetic radiation with a short excursion into the area related to the operation of cell phones. Yes, during a call there is more electromagnetic radiation than during standby mode. However, the telephone transmitter almost never (especially in a city where the cellular operator is able to provide good coverage) does not work 100%. Moreover, the phone does not “make” any decisions about how much power it should work with: this command is given by the base station. Thus, the opposite is true: the closer the base station, the less radiation the phone produces.

The SIM card has a warranty period or expiration date

The answer to the question of how long a SIM card can last can be considered open. By and large, it all depends on the operating conditions: if the card is rarely moved from phone to phone, and is not wet or bent, it can last a very long time. Some users say that they have not changed their SIM card for more than seven years. However, if the ancient SIM card works, such “innovations” as LTE will not be available to its owner.

If the SIM card fails, you can simply replace it with a new one. Therefore, it is pointless to talk about any kind of warranty period: as long as you are a subscriber of a cellular operator, you can exchange broken SIM cards for working ones in communication stores. Another thing is that the mobile operators themselves began to use the phrase “warranty period”, trying to lure subscribers to new SIM cards and, as a result, offer them new ones. Since the beginning of this year, they periodically send out messages like: “Dear customer, the warranty period of your SIM cards are coming to an end. Replace your SIM and get access to superfast internet." However, company representatives on social networks respond to user questions that this message “only means that your SIM card does not support 4G.”

Extending the expiration date of a Megafon SIM card

Very often, in certain cases, you have to remove the chip from the phone slot - for example, in order to send the phone for repairs, or you decide to buy a new phone. It is important to know the rules for storing such small items so as not to regret the possible negative consequences later. After it becomes necessary to remove the megaphone SIM card from the device, carefully remove the cover from the phone and remove the battery.

Find the slot for the SIM card and, with light finger movements, slide the chip down (or sideways, depending on the phone model) - do not press too hard on the base of the card so as not to damage the plastic.

After everything has happened successfully, remove the coupling element to a dry place - the metal part may oxidize due to moisture. Keep your megaphone SIM card out of the reach of children. Do not leave it in direct sunlight. Avoid scratching the board.

If it becomes necessary to put a chip in the slot, do everything described above, only in reverse order. Now you know what to do to extend the expiration date of your Megafon SIM card.

Methods of deception in the Beeline company, as well as a little about working from the inside.

So, good day everyone, make yourself comfortable. I worked as a sales office employee in one of the large cities in the South of Russia. I worked for quite a long time, and learned a lot of interesting things, which I will actually share with you. Having settled in the Beeline company, a rather exciting adventure awaits you as an office specialist. You will be taught how to deceive people and you will become a pro in this matter, or you will be fired if you do not want to do this. My review of the work concerns only my region, I won’t say anything about others, but judging by the reviews on the Internet, plus or minus everything is the same)))

First of all, during the internship you will learn what fraudulent SIM cards are, how to make them, how to work with objections (read how to put shoes on a sucker). Fraud is a low-quality sale, a SIM card sold to someone as a “gift” (load), thrown on credit (issued in the name of persons from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other fraternal republics, because the law prohibits the rivet of SIM cards on real citizens of the Russian Federation, but no one (even now we are talking not about the law, but about colleagues and your immediate management) You are not prohibited from doing the same on virtual ones. In each of the Beeline offices from my group of offices there was a kind of fraudulent notebook with data from gypsies, fake Russians and persons from the above-mentioned republics. Deception, as I said above includes the sale of SIM cards as a load for tapikas (black and white phones, they usually already have an inflated price for the minimum SIM card, or the cheapest insurance/setup), loans (sometimes I myself saw checks for 5 SIM cards, they were stuffed into people and the Russian Geographical Society itself sent it to us how to do this), it’s just stupid as a gift if the smartphone costs from 5k, and even if you don’t want it, several blanks are inserted on the keyboard (in Beeline SIM cards have no numbers, the number is generated when entering passport data) so that they are not visible from the buyer , the employee just sits and, looking at the serial number of the SIM card, enters it into the receipt (sometimes he brazenly beeps with the scanner) and rivets a freshly baked fraudulent SIM card onto the passport details of the persons indicated above. Moreover, if the purchase of a phone is done in cash, everything becomes much simpler, a sales receipt is printed out for you and you leave accordingly, and the employee can calmly and openly do what I described above. If you buy by card or on credit, everything is already happening with convulsively shaking hands, so that you do not understand what is happening and do not walk away from such a protracted operation.
