Although Beeline is primarily known as one of the five federal cellular operators, the company’s list of services also includes wired Internet connection, IP television and landline communications. Although this provider has a large coverage area and uses only high-quality equipment, sometimes your mobile or cable connection may not be available. The article will tell you why in certain cases the Beeline connection or Internet does not work.
Problems on the provider side
Perhaps something is wrong with the connection on the provider’s side - a breakdown has occurred, repair or maintenance work is underway. To find out about them, call the support service on one of the toll-free numbers:
- 8 800 700 0611 - mobile Internet on smartphones;
- 8 800 700 0080 - Internet via USB modem;
- 8 800 700 8000 - home Internet.
You can send a letter with a complaint to the provider's email [email protected] , but in this case do not expect a quick response.
Is access enabled?
If you are worried about why there is no Beeline Internet on your phone, while tariff options are connected, try checking whether data transfer is activated on your device. To do this you need:
- Enter the “Settings” menu section;
- Check the box (or move the slider) opposite the “Data transfer” line.
All settings are connected, but the Internet still disappears? There is another reason that causes access problems.
If the traffic runs out
If you use a limited tariff, when it starts to run out, Beeline will cut your speed. Information on balances is located in your personal account on the main display below.
On the main page below there is information on the remaining mobile traffic
If you see that there is little traffic, purchase it (additional package - “Extend speed” by 100 MB or 1.4 or 5 GB). Read more about the tariffs on the official Beeline website.
Connect to one of the “Extend Speed” tariffs to speed up your Internet
If you don’t have enough traffic for each month, it is recommended to change the tariff altogether. Do this in your personal account:
- Go into it using the instructions above, at the top of the screen click on “Products”. Select mobile or home Internet in the panel and click on the “Tariffs” link in the appropriate section.
- Scroll to the page with a list of available tariffs from the operator and click on the switch.
- Confirm your upgrade to another package.
You can change the tariff package through your account on the website if the transition will be without changing the payment type (for example, from prepaid to postpaid and vice versa).
Additional settings
If problems cannot be resolved using the usual methods, try the following:
- Go to your phone settings;
- Open the “Other networks” tab;
- Select the line “Mobile networks”;
- Click on “Access Points” and select “Beeline Internet”;
- Go to Authentication Type, you need to set "PAP";
- Restart your device.
If you think that the necessary settings have been lost for some reason, the command 06503 will help you. Dial the number and get new automatic phone settings.
The website has a 4G network coverage map, look at its boundaries.
If there is a heavy load on the network
Both the subscriber himself and, in general, all network users can load the network (when the servers cannot cope with the load, there are too many requests that the provider’s equipment cannot quickly process). In the latter case, you will not be able to do anything - you can only wait for the peak hours to pass and the load to subside.
The provider's network may be overloaded with requests - wait until their number decreases
In the first case, the solution is obvious - close all download managers (including Torrent clients). Even if you don't have their windows open, the download may still continue - the applications are running in the background. Go to the tray (up arrow on the “Taskbar” on the right) and see if there is a download manager there. If there is, exit it through the context menu (called by right-clicking the mouse).
You can disable a program that is running in the background through the Windows tray.
The same needs to be done with other programs that take up traffic: Skype, open browsers. The list of running utilities is in the “Task Manager”. Hold down the combination Ctrl + Alt + Delete and go to the manager. In the “Processes” tab, find the programs that are taking up traffic and remove the task from them.
Untask unneeded programs in Task Manager
Reduce the number of tabs in your running browser. If some videos are open, especially high quality ones, the Internet speed will be very slow. It would also be a good idea to clear your browser cache, history and cookies (you can do this through the settings).
Remove junk from your browser to speed up the Internet
Reasons for failure
Very often there is no connection for one simple reason - the user has left the operator’s network coverage area and the mobile device cannot communicate with the nearest tower. A special network status indicator in a mobile device, which is usually located in the upper left corner of the screen, allows you to roughly understand how far a person is from the base stations at a certain point in time: the more “sticks” (or “circles”), the shorter the distance. The solution to this problem is to physically return the device to the coverage area. You can also use special external repeater antennas, which are installed indoors and “attract” the signal to themselves.
Also, the reason may be hidden in the failure of re-identification of the device on the network, which occurs automatically after a short-term exit from the coverage area. This error is often encountered by people talking on the phone in a metro tunnel - in the middle of the route between stations, the connection is interrupted, and the operator does not have time to register the subscriber disconnection, so when the person returns to the access zone, nothing happens (for the system, the mobile device is still active and does not require registration). The error can be resolved by rebooting the gadget.
Engineering works
How to apply for Beeline home internet connection
Regardless of the quality of the hardware and software used, the system requires regular maintenance. This may include testing functionality, replacing technical components, repairing cell towers, or making adjustments to software.
When improving the system, it will also take time to work with the equipment. Sometimes maintenance can occur without shutting down the network, but in some cases termination of access may be necessary. In this case, the company will notify you that Beeline Internet is not working today due to repair work.
Packages and balance
You can check the funds and the remaining available volume of Beeline traffic by sending USSD commands to the support service:
- Use the dial button to send the USSD code *107# (for a prepaid payment system) or order a financial report using the command *110*321# (for tariffs with a postpaid settlement system) - this way you can clarify information about the remaining and available traffic.
- Request up-to-date information on your current balance by sending the symbols *105# - in the received information message you will see whether your balance is positive. If the account is negative or zero, in most cases you will not be able to use the Internet. You need to top up your account in order to continue using access to the global network.
Balance check
Another common reason for the lack of Internet may be a lack of funds on the balance sheet. This is trivial, but often subscribers simply miss this point. And when the mobile Internet does not work in Beeline, they simply forget to check the balance of funds. To check your balance, use the combination *105#. If this is the case, then simply replenishing your account is enough to solve the problem.
There is one more nuance that deserves attention. Sometimes there are situations when there is insufficient amount in the account for monthly payments. In this case, the subscriber can only use basic functions, such as calls and messages, and additional ones will be temporarily disabled. And it is for this reason that the Internet does not work in Beeline. Remember that payment for services in each package is different, and the period for charging the subscription fee may also vary.
Viruses
If your computer has viruses, they can cause serious harm and cause communication problems. If there is no anti-virus program, you need to install it and scan it.
Note! In some cases, an infected operating system can be cured. Sometimes in such a situation you have to reinstall the operating system.
Situation #2 - WiFi connection
The next questions that require consideration are why the Beeline router over WiFi does not work, and what to do in such a situation. Here it is necessary to focus on the problems that have arisen.
Constant disconnections
If the router works, but the Internet is constantly interrupted, inspect the network cable for damage. If there are none, turn off the power to the router for five seconds and turn it on again. If the gaps have not gone away, update the firmware using the link router.beeline.ru. Next, check the settings through the Quick setup section on the website
Internet is slow
Proceed according to the same principle as described for a similar problem above. First, turn off and turn on the Beeline router. If the speed is lower than stated or the pages do not open, proceed according to the previous diagram.
Here, by the way, we have GPRS settings.
Pages won't open
If the Internet stops opening pages, try turning the router on and off. If this does not work, check that Wi-Fi is turned on and restart the PC. In the next step, try to log into any of the sites in a different web explorer. If this does not help, go to router.beeline.ru and follow the quick setup recommendations.
Can't connect to Wi-Fi
Another question is why the Beeline router does not work well with a TV or other equipment, for example, there is no Wi-Fi connection. To resolve the problem, follow these steps:
- Restart the Beeline router by completely turning it off for five seconds and then turning it back on.
- If this does not work, go to Start, and then Settings. There, find the Network and Internet section. On the left, select Wi-Fi and find Manage network settings. In the Manage known networks section, try to forget your Wi-Fi profile and connect again.
- If it doesn’t help, go to the link router.beeline.ru and reconfigure the Beeline router taking into account the model.
Please note that for different Windows operating systems, the steps to “forget” a WiFi network are slightly different, but the general principle remains the same.
Can't find Wi-Fi network
If WiFi does not work, try turning off and on the router. If there is no result, check that the adapter is turned on, and then reconfigure the router using the link discussed above.
Why doesn't Beeline mobile Internet work?
Depending on the type of connection, there are several potential weak points that could cause the Internet to shut down. Let's consider them further.
Network congestion
The base station sector, unlike the other described communication channels, is used by an indefinite number of Beeline subscribers simultaneously. Operator employees calculate in advance the number of permanent consumers in the area and install equipment with capacities that can withstand high loads.
In some cases, the bandwidth of the cellular company’s equipment is not enough. For example, on New Year's Eve, when everyone is trying to get through to each other, or during events that involve a massive gathering of visitors from other cities, regions and even countries. Examples of such events are the International Student Spring, the FIFA World Cup or the Olympics.
Operators will not build permanent infrastructure for one night or an event for 50 thousand people. But if the planned event is known in advance, companies install mobile base stations and low-power transmitters - femtocells. State representatives are also interested in uninterrupted access to the Internet at international events. Therefore, they promptly register temporary permits for the installation of transmitting and receiving equipment.
If there are more subscribers than the system can handle, it stops receiving and transmitting traffic to subscriber devices.
To bring losses to companies, attackers organize DDOS (Denial of Service) attacks. To do this, subscriber devices are infected with viruses via the Internet. Malicious software simultaneously sends requests en masse on all infected hardware and overloads the system that processes them. As a result, the equipment stops working completely.
Regardless of the type of connection, the Internet access channel can be overloaded on the subscriber’s side. The speed limit provided by the operator is divided equally among all users or in accordance with the established network settings. Therefore, if 100 subscribers work through one connection at a speed of 100 Mbit/second, then each will receive no more than 1 Mbit/second or 128 KB/second. Considering the size of modern files, this speed is very close to a complete lack of Internet access.
Balance on the number
Before blaming Beeline, check if the money in your account has run out, especially if you use mobile Internet. Operators sometimes secretly connect additional paid services, the subscriber does not notice this immediately and access to the Internet disappears unexpectedly.
In the case of other types of connection, it is important to transfer monthly payments to the account on time.
Traffic packages
The same goes for packages – keep track of how you use them. The person who pays for the Internet may not be aware of the unexpected expenses of other subscribers within the tariff. For these cases, Beeline offers additional traffic packages for a small fee.
For non-cellular tariffs, traffic became unlimited many years ago and such problems should not exist.
Technical malfunction of Beeline equipment or services
If the balance is positive, the traffic packages are not used up, and there is no Internet, then pay attention to the router or USB modem through which the traffic goes to subscriber devices. Manufacturers install an indicator panel on the front or top panel of the router, from which you can find out whether:
- The device itself. Even the most primitive modems/routers have this indicator.
- Internet. Its indicator is usually the first. It is indicated by a globe icon in a ring, the inscription “WAN”, “NET” or “INTERNET”.
By this light you will know whether the router is receiving Internet:
- Wi-Fi. Its indicator is indicated by a symbol in the form of 3 vertical or horizontal brackets. If it blinks, it means the Wi-Fi connection is working.
- Wired connections to computers. Such indicators are numbered under the general inscription “LAN”. As a rule, there are no less than 2 and no more than 4.
If everything works correctly, the Internet or Wi-Fi indicator does not work, restart the device.
If there are problems with the LAN indicators, try switching devices to other LAN connectors.
If after a reboot some of the necessary indicators do not blink, try logging into the WEB interface of the router and setting it up again. If there is no access to the WEB interface, run a reset. To do this, press the button, which is located along the router body in the recess, with a thin oblong object.
To make sure that it is the router that is not working:
- If you receive traffic over a cellular network, try inserting the modem SIM card directly into your smartphone. If the Internet works, then the problem is in the modem.
- If you receive Internet from Beeline via wire, connect the operator cable directly to your laptop or computer. If the Internet appears, then the problem is in the router.
If the Internet does not appear, then the cause of the problem is on your operator side. Contact technical support specialists to resolve the problem.
If the problem is with the modem/router, but the settings are entered correctly, repair or replace the equipment with new one.
PJSC "Vympel-Communications" does not support a number of outdated routers.
Roaming
Despite the fact that as of 2021, roaming is legally prohibited in our country, at some tariffs it remains even in Russia. For all operators, roaming is available in the Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
Before using the Internet while roaming, study the cost of services in the desired region or country. Even if you are usually charged megabytes in service packages rather than rubles, when roaming you will probably pay for each megabyte of traffic separately.
Weather
Any information that is transmitted over wireless communication channels is susceptible to weather. Developers of modern radio-electronic equipment have tried to minimize losses in speed and data quality, but this factor cannot be completely excluded.
Mobile companies try to transmit mobile traffic through fiber optic networks between base stations so that bad weather does not cause interruptions. But on most towers of cellular operators there are still radio relay stations that wirelessly transmit data over distances of up to 70-80 km and the connection deteriorates in bad weather.
Wired connections are the least of the weather concerns. Exceptions are situations when the elements break switching boxes or tear wires, which in Russia are conducted not only underground, but also along poles.
Holidays
As we already said in the “Network Overload” section, in some cases the activity of subscribers on the network increases significantly. This is especially true during the holidays - people start calling and writing congratulations to each other, and overload the operator’s equipment. You can:
- try to get in among other subscribers;
- wait until the rush ends and calmly use communication services;
- use a backup communication channel. For example, wired Internet.
Can antenna
The idea of can antennas migrated to mobile communications from Wi-Fi networks, where with their help craftsmen “stretch” networks over kilometer-long distances between hot spots. In the classic version, a can antenna looks like this.
An empty tin can is found and a calculation is made.
In our case, for a coffee can the following was obtained: D (can diameter) = 100 mm, Lo (wavelength) = 143 mm, Lo/4 = 36 mm, Lg (wavelength) = 261 mm, Lg/4 = 65 mm. A hole is made at a distance of Lg/4 from the bottom of the can and a standard antenna socket is fixed in it with a waveguide of length Lo/4 made of 2 mm copper wire soldered to it.
We will consider the situation when the modem does not have a jack for connecting an antenna. You can, of course, open the modem and, finding a measuring socket on the board, solder a thin shielded wire with a connector to it, thereby making an adapter for connecting an external antenna.

However, this procedure requires considerable soldering skills and can result in either the loss of the modem’s warranty or its breakdown. There is another way. A hole is made in the jar in such a way that the modem itself fits tightly into it.
It is necessary to experimentally select the length of the protruding part close to our calculations (Lo/4 = 36 mm). Naturally, you will have to “spin” around the house with the can to find the place where the signal level is maximum.
