If no one saw, you need to try calling the smartphone again. If the call is not answered, what should you do (the phone is lost, but you haven’t contacted MTS yet, trying to find it on your own)? How does it work
The Beeline Locator service is an option controlled in four ways:
- Through the USSD menu, to do this, dial *566# and follow the prompts on the phone screen.
- Via SMS. The available commands are “Where is ХХХХХХХХХХ” (instead of X’s, indicate the ten-digit number of the desired subscriber), “Where am I”, “What’s nearby”. They should be sent to number 5166.
- In the application. You can install it by calling the toll-free number 0783. Upon completion of the call, your phone will receive an SMS with a link to download the application.
- Through the interface of the site locator.beeline.ru. A very convenient method, the geolocation of tracked people is displayed directly on the map, and their list can be viewed and edited in a few clicks.
Before using any of the above methods, the service must be activated.
Block?
The user has a question, regardless of which network he is connected to - Megafon or MTS: I lost my phone - how to block the SIM card? This is the first thing that comes to mind. There's no need to rush. If calls are made from it, this will make it easier for police officers to investigate. Blocking is advisable if there is a large amount of money in the account or if a tariff with a postpaid payment system was used. You can search by MTS number
Is it possible to find a lost phone by MTS number? To do this, you need to send a message to 667 with your name and number. After confirming your consent to tracking, you will receive an SMS with the location of the device. Even when the device is turned off, it can be tracked using the SIM card. But such actions are only suitable if the person who found the phone wants to return it.
Legality of tracking
Let us immediately note that spying on another person without his consent is a special case of interference in his personal life and is a criminal offense. An exception, perhaps, would be cases of observation of a minor child.
The second danger of illegal tracking is the possibility of running into scammers. Modern high-tech “Benders” can easily “sell” useless software in order to spy on the phone number of a wife or husband. In this case, in addition to a divorce for money, you may also receive a penalty for illegal surveillance, as mentioned above.
Important! Only the police can legally find out a person’s location by phone number without his consent, and even then on the basis of official permission from higher regulatory authorities.
GPS navigation
Without wasting time, you need to contact your cellular operator, who can determine your location using GPS, regardless of whether the device is turned on or not. The disadvantage of this method is that this function must be enabled in advance, and the smartphone must have Internet access. Without these conditions being met, the search will not work. Modern touchscreen devices already have built-in GPS navigation; you can find it yourself using the Google application with an accuracy of up to 200 meters. It would be correct to order a printout from the operator of calls from the date of loss, which will help in the investigation.
Spying on a person via iPhone

It is located under the battery and on the box, or you can find it by dialing *#06#, but this must be done while the gadget is still in your hands. IMEI for a phone is like fingerprints for a person. Every time you register on the network, the cellular operator sees the location of the smartphone.
If I lost my phone, how can I find it? MTS or another mobile company will help determine where the device is located via IMEI, but only at the request of law enforcement agencies, based on the user’s statement. There are sites that offer to indicate where the phone number is for a fee. You shouldn't trust them. As a rule, these are scammers; you can lose money and precious time with them.
How to connect "Locator" to Beeline
Initially, the service is not included in any of the tariff plans; you can activate it:
- SMS of any content to the short number 5166.
- Call 0783 (in addition you will receive a link to download the application).
- In the “Personal Account” section of the operator’s website.
Don’t want to figure out how to activate the option yourself? You can simply come to the nearest Beeline sales office and ask a free employee to do this for you, or call the hotline 0611 and make the same request to a “live” operator by phone.
It's a good idea to insure yourself for the future
It is important to know if you have lost your phone, how to find it. MTS or another company will be able to help, but the more important question is: how to prevent loss?
- You need to carry your phone in the same protected place, then there is a greater chance of noticing it is missing.
- When you are in transport, at the market or in another place with a large crowd of people, it is better to keep your hand on your mobile phone so that it does not accidentally fall out.
- When purchasing, you can take a closer look at models in bright colors. If lost, it is easier to find it in the grass or on the asphalt, and at home among things it will be easier to see it.
- It’s a good idea to print a note in small print asking you to call a contact number and the reward amount. Place it inside the case in case of loss. If the finder wants to change the SIM card, it will be impossible not to notice this text.
- You can hang a mini keychain on your mobile phone that responds to a whistle or clap.
- The “Unlost” gadget has proven itself quite well. You need to buy it, install it and connect the program to your smartphone. If the connection is lost, the key fob will sound a signal. If you need to find your phone at home, when you press the key fob it will beep.
- Instead of a keychain, you can use a lanyard for your hand or neck; even if the gadget falls out of your hands, it will remain hanging. This will prevent loss and damage to the case.

If the SIM card was issued to another person
It also happens. Sometimes our cards are issued to relatives, friends, husbands and wives, both current and former. And in such a situation, a serious difficulty arises - only the person for whom it is issued can replace the SIM card.
Well, if you have the opportunity to bring this person to the salon for a replacement, then there will be no problem. But if this is not possible, then things are bad, recovery will be impossible. No matter how much you beg the operator’s employee to do this, he will refuse - the regulations on this are very strict. You'll have to buy a new card.
If there is “access” to that person, it is better to re-register along with the replacement. To do this, both participants in the procedure come to the communication center with a passport and fill out an application. The service is paid, the exact price depends on the operator and the region where the operation is performed. The cost varies from 50 to 350 rubles. That is, you can perform both restoration and re-registration at the same time. And in the future, such problems will no longer arise.
What you need to buy a SIM card
You may have to purchase a new card instead of restoring it. As a result, you will have a new number, and this will cause some inconveniences. In general, buying a new card is not difficult; they are now sold on every corner.
We recommend making your purchase in a showroom rather than from a street stall. In the latter case, there is a risk that the card will not be issued properly and problems will arise in the future.
What you need to buy a SIM card, step by step process:
- Original passport required. It must be provided to the employee at the salon. The document is valid and not expired.
- It is better to decide in advance which tariff is right for you. It is possible that the one that was assigned to the lost card no longer exists. Information about current tariffs can be found on the operator’s website.
- Come to the salon and express your desire to buy a SIM card. If you have decided on a tariff, tell us which one you need. If you are undecided, the manager will help you choose the best service option.
- Ask for your choice of room. You will be given a pack of SIM cards with numbers, you can choose the one that is more convenient for you and easy to remember. Usually managers give you a choice without any problems.
- You provide your passport, the employee of the communication store enters your data into the program, registers the purchased card in your name. You immediately receive an envelope with a card, you can insert it into your phone and use it.
SIM cards are not issued free of charge, but their cost is low, usually in the range of 100-300 rubles, depending on the operator and the tariff you choose. But even then, most of these funds are usually already in the account.
If we consider how many SIM cards can be bought for one passport, then today there are no restrictions on this matter. You can buy as much as you want. There is talk about limiting it to a maximum of 10 pieces, but so far no regulations have been introduced regarding this.
How to connect Beeline Locator without the subscriber's consent
Formally, Beeline Locator cannot be connected without the subscriber’s consent. But what if you want to know what other “job” your hubby stays late at every Friday, or why your eldest daughter came in the morning so happy and constantly smiling, although she spent the whole night preparing for an exam with a classmate from the neighboring house?
There is a way to get around this limitation. When you add a person to your tracking list for the first time, they receive an SMS that looks like this: “Subscriber +79992281488 requests permission to monitor you. To allow, send the word “Yes” in the reply SMS.” Is it possible to write “Yes” in response from someone else’s device? Radar is activated! Further determination of geolocation is carried out without consent; permission must be given once.
But keep in mind that by going to the service’s website and logging in using your phone number, a person will be able to see who is following him using the “Locator”. And in general, deception is not the best way to build trust.
Who can find out a person's whereabouts?
If you need to find a criminal, missing people or a stolen phone, only police and intelligence officers can request information from the operator. Processing a request usually takes a long time, during which the person may change location or the phone may simply run out of charge and the coordinates will become unavailable.
However, tracking a mobile phone often leads to good results - at least the route of a person's movement becomes known.
In all other cases, a person’s location can only be found out with his consent - all geolocation programs, “Find iPhone” and others are designed for this.
How to find your phone if it is turned off and lost
- Call. The device will begin to make a loud sound, which can only be turned off by you from the computer or by removing the battery.
- Block. You install an additional code on the device.
- Erase. You can remotely completely destroy all data from your mobile phone (cannot be restored).
It’s difficult to do without a smartphone these days, so everyone is trying to get a modern gadget. The latest models of iPhone and Samsung cost a lot of money, so if they are lost or stolen, the owner conducts a thorough search. Is it possible to find a switched off phone or should the subscriber immediately forget about the expensive purchase?
If you lost your device while it was on, the Android operating system has a convenient tool for finding your cell phone. To do this, you will need a Google account, a computer and Internet access. A special utility, Android Device Manager, will help you find Android. It is completely free and can be installed on any version of the operating system. What is this option
To understand how this works, you should find out what the Beeline service called “Coordinates” is. This option is a legal way to find out where relatives are and not worry about their safety.
- The Beeline user sends an SMS message to a short number with the numbers of the subscriber that will be tracked.
- The person receives a request that needs to be confirmed. If the user does not do this, the information will not be received.
- The system records the result of the data request and sends geolocation upon request.

Finding a lost phone using an antivirus application
Some antivirus utilities on your phone include a so-called “Anti-Theft” feature for remote access to the device. For example, the CM Security application determines the location of the device through the company website findphone.cmcm.com. To use it, set up your personal account in the “Find your phone” section, which you will find in the application menu.
Is it possible to protect yourself from losing your smartphone? It all depends on your attentiveness. Don't let your gadget out of sight, try not to carry it in tight little pockets, where the device can easily fall out. Connecting and disconnecting the service
To activate the option, you need to send a request to 0665 with the word “START” or an empty message to 4770. To disable the Beeline “Coordinates” subscription, an SMS with the text “OFF” is sent. You should wait for a response notification that the option has been successfully connected or deactivated. To remove a user from the “Coordinates” list, send an SMS with the text “Delete + subscriber_number” to 4770.

How to find a lost phone if you lost it (it's turned off, free, via satellite, Android, Samsung)
Suitable if the phone is lost, for example, in an apartment or forgotten somewhere with friends.
Take someone's phone and try calling your cell phone. You should hear a ringing or vibration. If the phone is in silent mode, then most likely you will see (if it is, of course, somewhere on an open surface) that its screen/identifier lights up. This obvious method can also help if the phone is stolen, but the SIM card was not removed. By making a timely call to the SIM card currently in the stolen phone, it will be easier for law enforcement agencies to track the location of the phone.
Be included. You must have access to the Google account to which the smartphone is linked. The device must be connected to the Internet. The geodata transfer function must be active. The “Find device” function must be active.
If all of these points, or at least the last two of them, are met, then you can try to find the device using GPS and a Google account. Go to the device search page using this link. Sign in to your Google account. If there are several accounts, then log in to the one that is linked to the Play Market on your smartphone.
The approximate location of your smartphone will be shown on the map. On the left side of the screen, data from the smartphone is shown - name, percentage of battery charge, name of the network to which it is connected.
The most common and reliable way is to file a report of theft or loss of the device with law enforcement agencies. Most likely, the police will ask you to provide IMEI - this is a unique number assigned to the smartphone by the manufacturer. After the user turns on the device for the first time, the number is activated. It is impossible to change this identifier in any way. You can find out the IMEI of your smartphone only in its documentation. If you can provide this number to the police, you will make their work much easier.
