With the “Second number” option from Megafon, a person will be able to forget that his phone does not support installing an additional SIM card. The subscriber will be provided with another coordinates, which will be assigned to the same SIM card. Thus, having one SIM card in your phone, you can receive calls arriving at several coordinates simultaneously.
The service stopped working not long ago. Instead, another option is offered - “Additional number”.
With the new service, a Megafon subscriber can simultaneously connect up to 3 coordinates to his SIM card. As a result, using the option will allow you to turn a standard smartphone with one SIM card tray into an advanced device for business negotiations.
The same tariff that was connected to the main one will work on additional numbers. At the same time, the functionality will allow you to both receive calls and make outgoing calls. All incoming calls are redirected from secondary to primary. A special system developed by Megafon will help you figure out exactly what numbers the call is receiving. In normal mode, it will not be possible to determine where the incoming subscriber decided to call.
But in prefix mode, each call will have an additional numeric designation (10, 20 or 30) for the first, second or third digits. The prefix will not be displayed on the main one. As a result, if a person receives a call from a subscriber +79351234576 to the main one, the recipient will see the numbers unchanged. If the same person dials an additional one, his coordinates will look like this: 1079351234576. To change the parameters, you need to dial the command *480# and go to the mode of receiving incoming calls.
How does eSIM from MegaFon work? Are there any restrictions?
No. The only thing is that you don’t have a physical card. And that's all, in principle.
Mobile Internet speed is absolutely the same. The signal reception strength is similar to the physical SIM card.
It’s just that now you have two SIM cards in your iPhone. Moreover, you can add as many of these virtual cards as you like, including from one operator. And carry a whole pack of numbers in one single device.
