What is a blacklist?

Emergency is a service provided by almost all operators. It allows you to block calls and SMS from various people. Why might it be needed?

  1. Do you want to get rid of annoying calls?
  2. Want to limit subsequent communication with certain people.
  3. Do you want to block numbers used to call databases of various companies?
  4. Do you want to communicate only with individual subscribers whom you have chosen yourself?

In general, for this it is not necessary to connect a special service from the operator. Most modern phones have a built-in blacklist. It does a good job of blocking calls from unwanted numbers and is free for users. You can add subscribers to the built-in emergency system through the device menu. This usually happens through the call log.

The main advantage of an emergency from an operator is that it remains the same when changing a smartphone. The list of blocked numbers is stored not on the phone, but on the SIM card. Therefore, you do not have to create an emergency again when purchasing a new device; you just need to replace the SIM card in it.

The MTS Blacklist service is available for any device, regardless of its technical characteristics. Some people use regular dialers with simple operating systems. They do not have a built-in emergency response; you cannot install a third-party application to block calls from individual numbers. Then you have to use the option from the operator.

If the option is not active, you can enable it using the following methods:

  • Via mts.ru personal account.
  • Use the USSD command *111*442# to enter the menu.

But how to blacklist a number on MTS with an active service?

  • Via menu *442#.
  • Send an SMS with the code “22*number” to 4424.

After adding, you can visit your personal account. In the personal account it is proposed to configure, select specific hours for blocking calls from subscribers included in the emergency situation. Thanks to this, the option can be easily adapted to a specific client.

To block SMS messages, you can activate “SMS Pro”. When used during an emergency, it is free. Its connection occurs by sending an SMS with the text “ON” to 232.

How to connect MTS Blacklist

The option is available to all Mobile TeleSystems subscribers, although it cannot be installed on all tariffs. If you are the owner of the “Connect”, “Online”, “MTS iPad” or “Cool” tariff plan, then before installing the offer you will have to change the tariff plan. In order to be able to block the receipt of SMS, “Sms Pro” is additionally connected; this type of offer when connecting the black list is provided free of charge.

Activating the Black List service from MTS is not difficult. There are two ways to do this.

1The first option is to go to your personal account of the Internet assistant and make a connection there. To log in you will need a login and password. Your login is your phone number. The password is obtained separately via SMS. Once you receive the password, you can remember it, and then always log into the assistant using it. You can also request a new password each time you log in and log in calmly. Everything is connected in the “services” section. There you find information about the offer, click “connect”

2The second method is by sending a special command via phone. The numbers shown on the display are *111*442#. After which you will receive a notification that the function is enabled

Price

The cost of sent codes and SMS for management is 0 rubles. Additionally, you can carry out all operations through your personal account. LC is much more convenient to use and more informative for clients.

The cost of an emergency is 1.5 rubles/daily. When you activate SMS Pro at the same time, it is provided without additional subscription fee.

How to block an MTS SIM card through the support service

The easiest and most affordable way to block a SIM card is to call your provider's support service.

You can view all available phones on the official website. You may need to call from a landline number if a theft has occurred. In this case, it is recommended to contact the federal MTS number with a request to block the lost card. In this case, the number will be defined as unserviceable in MTS networks. These actions are available only to number owners and will help protect the funds in the account.

If you want to block calls and transfers of funds from an MTS number, or your SIM card has been stolen, call the customer support phone number:

  • from MTS numbers free of charge: 0890;
  • to federal toll-free: 8 800 250 0890;
  • abroad: +7 495 766 0166.

Report your problem and confirm that you are the owner of the number. The MTS service center operator will block the use of all telephone services from a lost or unnecessary number. In case of voluntary blocking, you can unblock and use the services again at any time.

Restrictions

We list the main restrictions:

  • Emergency is not available on tablet and modem plans.
  • You can limit up to three hundred numbers.
  • The option is valid on the territory of states with which a special agreement has been concluded.
  • You cannot block incoming calls and SMS if the operator cannot determine the number.
  • “SMS Pro” is not available on plans for tablets and modems.
  • When a client's number is blocked, it is impossible to use SMS for management.
  • These options do not apply to multimedia messages.

Temporary blocking of SIM card

If you do not want to use cellular communications, call an operator or resolve the issue of blocking at the company’s office, you can temporarily block communication services using the Internet in your Personal Account.
The possibilities assume that you will not use the tariff and services from the moment of temporary blocking until immediate unblocking. In this case, the provision of all communication services will be suspended and no money will be debited from your personal account. When a temporary block may be necessary:

  • if you are going on a long trip abroad and do not want to use your phone;
  • if you want to relax and turn off your work number during your vacation without incurring unnecessary expenses;
  • if you don’t need an additional phone yet, but you don’t want to incur high costs for its maintenance and want to save the settings;
  • if you temporarily block the phone of a deceased relative before entering into an inheritance, for example, this could be not only a number servicing a personal phone, but also a personal account for accessing the Internet or servicing smart devices;
  • if you block services on SIM cards serving your devices at the time of not using or saving money.

After unblocking, all services will become available again, you will not have to set up your personal account again.

Access code for the service

Additionally, you can set a password. It restricts access to unauthorized persons, and to manage the service you will need to enter a special code consisting of 4-8 characters.

You can put the code in the following ways:

  • Go to the menu by request *442#.
  • Via SMS. Enter the text “5” and send to 4424.

How to deactivate the password?

  • Use the menu upon request *111*442#.
  • Enter “442*3” into the SMS and send it to 111.

How to disable MTS Blacklist

When you activate the offer, the question arises of how to disable the Black List service on MTS. Representatives of the company took care by offering 3 options to choose from:

1 Just send a request *111*442*2#, the option will be disabled.

2 If you are not satisfied with the first method, send an SMS message with the text 442*2 to number 111, you will receive the required result.

3 Use the functions of the Internet assistant. Go to the site, disconnect where you connected.

Removal

How to remove a number from an emergency situation? If you do not want to completely disable the service, but only want to unblock some people, then you can use one of the following methods:

  • Send your request to *442*24*number#.
  • Send SMS “22*number” to 4424.

Important! Subscribers of almost all plans can use blocking of incoming calls and SMS. There are restrictions for certain programs; they were listed earlier in a special section of our article. The subscription fee is charged daily after connection.

Description

As already mentioned, it allows you to block calls and SMS from almost any subscriber. In order to prevent someone from calling your number, you need to blacklist the phone number of this subscriber - as a result of this, he will not be able to call or send SMS. The service also allows you to block advertising numbers that do not have numbers, which is useful for those who suffer from annoying spam.

from MTS works on almost all tariff plans, with the exception of the “Online”, “Connect” tariffs and all variants of the “MTS iPad” tariff - call blocking will not work here. Also, SMS blocking will not work on these tariffs (including on the “Cool” tariff plan).

The maximum number of numbers in the black list is 300 - both regular numbers and alpha numbers (without numbers) are entered here. The service allows you to block calls from any number, be it local or international - block calls from all over the world!

It will also work in domestic Russian and even international roaming, provided that CAMEL roaming (online roaming with fast charging) works in the given country. But with SMS blocking, not everything is as smooth as we would like - it blocks SMS only from certain regions. These include: Lipetsk, Kursk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Oryol, Belgorod, Tula, Yaroslavl, Smolensk, Tver, Tambov, Kaluga, Ryazan, Kostroma, Vladimir, Ivanovo and Moscow regions. SMS from other regions will not be blocked - you will have to come to terms with this. But we can enjoy perfect blocking of SMS from short numbers!

To block SMS, you need to activate the accompanying free SMS Pro service. Otherwise, message blocking will not work.

To manage the service, SMS service numbers 111, 232 and 4424 are used - sending SMS to these numbers when in your home region is not charged, which is also a definite plus. As for managing the service in roaming, here we will have to spend money - sending SMS will be charged according to the tariffs for a particular direction.

The subscription fee for using the service is a modest 1.5 rubles per day - this is quite a decent payment for ensuring your own peace of mind. Also, we would like to add that there is no fee for adding numbers.

How to call MTS at a friend's expense?

  • The first method is the simplest: dial 0880 and the number of the subscriber you are going to call, then the call button.
  • Second method: first dial 0880, wait for the answering machine. Next, follow his prompts and dial the number of the called party in ten-digit format without +7.

After pressing call you will have to wait a while. Your interlocutor will receive a voice request to confirm that the call is being made at his expense. To confirm the call, he needs to press 1, to cancel - 0. If he pressed 0, you will hear a voice message that the subscriber rejected the call.

Connection and service management

The easiest way to connect and add numbers is to use your personal account on the official website of the mobile operator MTS. In the “services” section, find the one you need and enter the data.

If you do not have access to the global network, you can use the SMS command by sending a message to the short number 111 with the text “442*1” (quotes are not included), and also use the USSD command *111*442# and the call button.

Immediately after entering the command, the service is activated, and the first one and a half rubles per day of use will be debited from the balance of your phone.

Adding contacts

There are several options for entering data into the filter:

  1. Use the USSD command and dial *442#, press the call button, then a simple menu will open in front of you, where you enter information about blocked subscribers.
  2. Send an SMS to number 4424 with the text: 22*contact details.
  3. Use the website of the service itself https://bl.mts.ru, where you can even add a blocking schedule.

You can choose what the person who is trying to call will hear (“Busy” or “The subscriber’s device is turned off”). You cannot select a message—this type of communication is not available to the subscriber. For the first option, you can use the command *442*21*number#, for the second - *442*22*subscriber data#. Manually displayed in your personal account.

You must enter information after seven. And to activate blocking of incoming messages, send the text ON to number 232. It is also more convenient to manage this service through your MTS subscriber account.

Important! You cannot block MMS messages.

How to view the list

To find out what data you have entered and the parameters you have set, dial *442*64# on your phone and click on “call”. It is possible to send an SMS to No. 4424, with the following text: “24*subscriber data.”

MTS has also developed a system for blocking filter viewing by unauthorized persons. To do this, use the command *442*51*code#. So, you will set a security code. Full information about the service can be seen by dialing *442*5#.
