But how do you understand which of the proposed options is really suitable for you, and which will just be a waste of money? We carefully studied the current MTS tariffs in Belarus and tried to bring to the surface all the pitfalls so that you ultimately make the right choice.

A recently launched tariff plan from MTS, which is designed to replace the popular 4G mini, which has gone into the archives.

In terms of price, it is the most affordable of the entire “super” line. Its distinctive feature is unlimited use of social networks and instant messengers, and each tariff has its own unique list. As a “Super” subscriber, you can use Viber, WhatsApp, Telegram, Snapchat unlimitedly - the traffic used during sessions with these applications will not be counted towards the general account (1 GB).

Pros:

Minuses:

• “Smart Unlimited 032017” – tariff description and connection

Perhaps the most balanced offer from MTS today, allowing you to actively consume all types of content and not really think about the meters spent.

The best thing about it is unlimited access not only to instant messengers (Viber, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, OK Live, Snapchat), but also to social networks (VKontakte, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Odnoklassniki). For everything else - 8 GB of traffic. And those who like to talk can take advantage of 400 free minutes on all networks.

Pros:

• an impressive list of “free” social networks and instant messengers, including the “heavy” Instagram and Viber;

Minuses:

Apparently, it is intended to replace the archived “Unlimited” and “Super Max”, to which people actively connected last year. Unlimited on YouTube, all social networks and instant messengers and calls to all networks of the Republic of Belarus allows you to completely forget about traffic control and enjoy using your phone.

Pros:

• unlimited on Youtube in addition to social networks and instant messengers;
• Gigabytes not used in a month are transferred to the next month. You can save up to 40 GB and spend it whenever you want;

Minuses:

• relatively high subscription fee;

It is especially attractive if the phone operates exclusively in receiving mode. For the Internet, symbolic traffic is provided, but it can always be expanded with Open Internet packages.

Pros:

Minuses:

• expensive outgoing calls;
• There is practically no internet.

Who is it suitable for: an excellent option if you plan to use this or that number in passive mode.

This tariff is primarily addressed to those who use the Internet via a USB modem or tablet, and allows you to select the desired amount of traffic. What's the catch

The description of the “Unlimited” tariff plan of MTS Belarus gives a rather rosy picture and makes distrustful people wonder what the catch is. And it actually is: the slogan of the promotional company of the offer is not entirely true. “Giving away unlimited Internet,” as MTS promises, is unlikely to work out for you. Another disadvantage of unlimited is the low surfing speed. Due to the large number of connections, fast downloading of files can only be a dream. And for viewing pages, a package with a minimum amount of traffic at cheaper rates is enough. If you live in an area with poor communication quality, it is better to save your money.

Social tariffs

Among the company's tariff plans, those addressed to selective segments of the population stand out: pensioners, children, people with disabilities. It is commendable that the company takes into account such categories and offers solutions that best suit their needs.

Tariff for all persons who have already reached retirement age. You can connect it only in communication shops - to do this you need to present your passport and pension certificate. The initial advance payment will be 0.30 BYN.

Minuses:

• very little dedicated traffic - 50 MB;
• there is no starting period with a zero subscription fee, as is the case with the “Blizky” tariff;
• registration only in communication shops.

Previously, I had a MAXI tariff, which I purchased back in 2011, at the moment it is no longer possible to connect to this tariff and it has become unprofitable to stay on it.

What was the point: for 500 rubles a month I had 100 free SMS, 150 minutes of calls, and unlimited Internet (at that time), calls between MTS users are free.

After some time, the tariff plan was slightly adjusted (NO SURPRISE, THIS IS MTS), as a result of which the unlimited Internet disappeared. They provided only 75 MEGABYTES of Internet per day! This is unrealistically small, especially for the present time, when almost all communication, all work, study, is carried out via the Internet. When these 75 MB ran out, the Internet speed was reduced to a minimum, as a result of which it was not even possible to access Google maps normally! It’s not a very pleasant thing, you know, when you’re driving in some kind of cockroach darkness using a navigator, and then bam! And the traffic ends. Of course, in this case, MTS comes “to the rescue” and offers to connect a “turbo button” for 30 rubles, which returned the usual (and so poor) speed and made it possible to use another 100 megabytes of the Internet. And so every 100 megabytes... Once, at this rate, I spent almost 2,500 rubles in a month. Far from the original 500, isn’t it?

But let’s return to the relatively new tariff from MTS Smart “Unlimited”.

Essence:

1. Payment is 12.90 rubles - the first month, 19 rubles from the second month, i.e. 570 rubles per month. In principle, it will do.
2. 200 free minutes to all networks in your home region + 200 free SMS. That's enough for me, I'm not a chatterbox on the phone.
3. Works throughout Russia. Also a handy thing if it REALLY works. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test it yet.
4. And of course, the promised UNLIMITED Internet.

You can find out some detailed information about the debiting of funds after the minutes and SMS run out on the website (if you suddenly want to subscribe to this tariff).

The conditions are normal for me, there seem to be no pitfalls, BUT!

No one said anything about restrictions on distributing the Internet from their device. You will only find out about this when you receive an SMS from MTS stating that 30 rubles will be deducted per day of distributing the Internet to other devices. The first 100 MB are free.

Sorry, but how do you understand this??? I pay for this tariff, I distributed the Internet from my phone to my tablet! Why should I pay more?

Any distribution of traffic is prohibited. If such a fact is revealed, the company has the right to limit the speed or completely block the subscriber, excluding the possibility of returning funds in the account. The duration of the traffic limitation will be described in the SMS message that the user will receive.

How to connect and disconnect

Before changing the current tariff package to the “Unlimited” Belarus contract, it is recommended to top up your account with an amount equal to 3 Belarusian rubles. This is the required minimum amount to be written off for changing the tariff. You can activate the service using three options for the subscriber to choose from:

1. Contact official sales services or the nearest MTS customer service office for help. Contact a consultant to connect the service. It is mandatory to have documents (passport) with you.
2. Switch the service using a special combination - *111*13# call key. This is the fastest option to activate a new feature on your smartphone. After activation occurs, you will receive an SMS notification.

3. Use the functions of the My MTS mobile application. Log in to the system, go to your personal account page, select the “Tariffs” section, find the required contract, click “go”.

   
   Within some time, a notification about successful activation will be sent to your phone.

Important! You will not have to pay for switching to a new contract if you switch from an existing tariff that has a lower monthly fee, or a tariff on an advance payment system.

4g “Unlimited” MTS Belarus

By switching to the Smart “Unlimited” tariff plan, access to the Internet is possible for subscribers who have made a minimum payment of 3.0 BYN. rub. The subscription fee is charged daily in certain amounts. The cost of 1 day of use depends on the number of calendar days in a certain reporting period and is calculated proportionally. If the user is blocked, no subscription fee is charged.

Please note that remaining services are not cumulative.

There is no possibility of transferring them. Before connecting to a tariff plan, you should assess your needs and capabilities so as not to overpay for services that are not particularly necessary. This will allow you to save a lot of money.

Disable unlimited

Limited traffic and a fixed number of minutes may not suit the user. Not everyone uses communication services and accesses the Internet equally often. Just in case, it’s useful to know how to disable the “Unlimited” tariff on MTS. This can be done through all communication channels:

• through your personal account on the company website;
• in mobile phone stores;
• through the contact center operator, the telephone number is indicated in the previous section;
• through the application, but only owners of devices that have downloaded the application will be able to disable “Smart Unlimited” on MTS.

Everyone has the right to terminate the contract with the operator if something is not satisfactory in his work or for some reason it was not possible to change the tariff plan or disable the service. True, practice shows that users do not have any difficulties connecting and disconnecting unlimited.

Tariffs without monthly fee

One main category of tariff plans should be highlighted - on a per-minute basis. They differ from others in that they do not require ongoing monthly payments. The consumer pays only for the actual use of mobile communication services. You don't need to pay money for unnecessary options and mobile Internet if you don't need it. Bulk packages of minutes and messages are not included. This is important, because if you do not spend the established quota during the billing period, then the balances will simply burn out, as will your finances.

As of the current year 2021, there are no existing contracts in Belarus without a subscription fee.

There is only one tariff available for connection and is provided on a per-minute basis. It's called "Easy to Say" and has a number of characteristics:

1. All incoming calls from all directions are not subject to tariffication.
2. Minimum monthly fee, which is only 0.59 rubles. It is withdrawn from the consumer’s balance during the first activation and then on the first day of each subsequent month. If there are no funds in the account, access to communication services is blocked.
3. Unique calculation of voice communication. The more you talk with the interlocutor, the less you will have to pay for communication. The first three minutes of negotiations cost 0.076 rubles per minute, and the subsequent ones - 0.027 rubles per minute.
4. Such savings conditions are valid only for outgoing calls on the internal network and within the country. Calls to all directions and numbers of other providers in Belarus cost 0.1525 rubles.
5. SMS correspondence with all subscribers of different operators has a single tariff - 0.0215 rubles. for one shipment. All incoming calls are free.
6. Mobile traffic is not calculated based on one megabyte, as is standard, but it all depends on how much you downloaded in the current month. There is a wide range of categories that determine the final cost, for example, if a subscriber spent less than 100 megabytes, then you have to pay 1.60 rubles, a maximum of more than 60 gigabytes costs 100 rubles.
7. To activate, you will need to dial the USSD combination in the phone call menu *111*13#, and then wait for confirmation from the provider.

This contract is an ideal solution for owners of simple or push-button mobile devices, for people who do not need to access the network.

Tariffs for pensioners and disabled people
