How to set up forwarding from Tele2 to Megafon, MTS, Beeline

Each Tele2 tariff plan includes a call forwarding service by default. The operator does not ask whether you need it or not. It’s just included in your tariff and is included in its total cost. You can use it or not use it. But there is one trick: it can activate itself under certain conditions. And if you find yourself in roaming, you may end up incurring serious expenses because of it. We'll tell you how to disable the call forwarding service in Tele 2, what methods you can use, and how to avoid unnecessary expenses.

Types of forwarding

Depending on the reason for which calls are forwarded, several types of services are offered:

  • for all calls;
  • due to a long lack of response;
  • due to subscriber unavailability;
  • according to number occupancy.

With unconditional automatic forwarding, any connection is transferred to another number. The call arrives at the Tele2 subscriber number and immediately goes to the specified phone number of any mobile operator. If it is unavailable or disabled, the call ends. The caller does not know whether he has reached directly or been redirected.

Conditional forwarding is performed only in the presence of a certain condition (busy network, switched off phone, long absence of answer).

Depending on the type of option, the forwarding settings on Tele2 differ. For each case, a separate connection code is provided.

Description of service

The function of the service is that an incoming call will automatically be transferred to another phone number previously assigned by the user. This option allows you not to miss a single call if the subscriber is outside the network coverage area or does not answer. Calls can be forwarded to all mobile operators and landlines.

This service allows you to always stay in touch and receive important calls, regardless of force majeure situations with your phone. This function is useful when using two SIM cards, when it is worth separating calls into personal and business. Redirection from a work SIM card to a home phone is used to ensure that personal contacts remain hidden for a wide range of people. If the user has changed the number, then all calls will be sent to the new one.

There are several types of this service when the subscriber is unable to answer Tele2 for the following reasons:

  • The subscriber is busy.
  • The user is unavailable.
  • The subscriber simply does not answer.
  • Unconditional forwarding when the subscriber answers an incoming call from another number in any case.

Redirecting SMS messages is not relevant in all regions. You should check its availability in your city with telecom operators or through the official website.

Cost in home region and roaming

Calls are billed as a regular outgoing call based on the call plan and the phone number it ends up being routed to. Other conditions are possible if a different procedure is provided for in the tariff plan.

The service itself is free: there is no connection fee or subscription fee. If a minute from the first number to the second costs 1 ruble, then a forwarded call will cost exactly that much.

Tariffs abroad vary. If forwarding is enabled in your subject, calls will be billed as normal. And when activating abroad, you will need to pay taking into account roaming. Conditional types of options are unprofitable outside Russia: double charging based on the combination of an incoming and forwarded call cannot be ruled out.

When choosing a SIM card to which the call will be made, the subscriber must take into account the cost of calls to it.

  • For a subscriber of another entity, intercity rates are assumed.
  • For a client of a foreign company – services within the framework of international communication.

Regional tariffs may provide excellent prices for forwarded connections to subscribers. Such conditions exist on “Moscow Speaks” or “Yellow” in St. Petersburg. Detailed information can be found in the description of the tariff plan.

Conditions and cost

You can enable and disable the option an unlimited number of times absolutely free of charge. There is no subscription fee. All forwarded incoming calls will be charged at the cost of outgoing calls, according to the terms of the tariff plan.

For forwarded calls from the number on which forwarding is set, money will be charged depending on the tariff plan. The calculation is carried out in such a way that a call is made to oneself from the number on which the forwarding is set, to the one specified when connecting the option. Formally, this call is incoming, however, for the redirected one it is considered outgoing. Hence this payment scheme. The calling subscriber does not pay anything additional, except for the fee provided for in the tariff.

How to connect and check

The service is managed in several ways:

  • through your personal account;
  • in a contact center or office by a company employee;
  • in the mobile center settings;
  • via USSD codes.

The easiest way to set up a transfer to another phone is using the last option. How to forward from a Tele2 number:

Type of forwardingCommand to connect
for all calls (unconditional)**21*number#
due to unavailability (the phone is turned off or is in airplane mode or out of network coverage)**62*number#
by busyness (the subscriber is already talking to someone)**67*number#
by no response (more than 25 seconds)**61*number#

The number to which calls should be transferred is entered into the code. It should be indicated with the country code (for Russia +7), since forwarding is also possible to foreign phones.

You can check whether the option parameters are set correctly using the following codes:

  • unconditional – *#21#;
  • due to unavailability – *#62#;
  • by employment – *#67#;
  • for no response – *#61#.

In addition to calls, Tele2 provides the ability to forward SMS messages. The code for connecting the option is *268*1*number#.

How to use

The option can be controlled using special commands.

  • To redirect all calls, just dial the command **21*number#
  • to enable call forwarding when the phone is unavailable, you need to use the combination of numbers **62*number#
  • to transfer a call if there is no answer **61*number#
  • when the phone is busy – **67*number#

The telephone number must be indicated in full, including the country code (for the Russian Federation – +7). You can simultaneously set up different types of forwarding, even to different numbers. For example, if there is no answer, you can transfer the call to your office phone, and if the number is busy, you can transfer it to a second cell phone.

Let's consider the main advantages of using:

  • The ability to stay connected where the Tele2 network is not available.
  • You don't have to disclose additional numbers to other people.
  • The ability to save money when traveling.
  • Easy ordering of calls when you have several telephones.

No additional notifications are sent to the client after setting up forwarding. He must take care of changing the service parameters or disabling it if necessary.

Many phones have the ability to manage call transfer service. But their correct operation is not guaranteed and it is better to use the commands suggested by Tele2. You can remember them, write them down, or check with the call center operator at any time.

How to disable

When there is no longer a need to transfer calls, the option can be immediately disabled using a code similar to the one intended for checking the status of the offer. Cancellation of the service is free of charge. How to disable forwarding on body2:

Type of forwardingCommand to disable
unconditional##21#
due to unavailability##62#
by employment##67#
by lack of response##61#

To disable sending messages to a specified number, use the code *286*0#. And in order to disable everything related to redirection at once, just enter a single code ##002#.

Tele2's forwarding service is a useful service for those who want to stay in touch. Situations with a dead battery or a forgotten phone are not uncommon. And unconditional transfer to a second phone is a way to answer a call or message on time. And the absence of a subscription fee and free connection make the offer the most profitable among other mobile operators.

Forwarding a subscriber to numbers of other telecom operators

The Tele2 call forwarding service is available for absolutely any telecom operator. This is possible not only for Beeline, Megafon and MTS, but also for SIM cards of any local and foreign operators. MTS provides an option with some conditions. It is impossible to set up redirection from Tele2 to MTS if the user does not respond for more than 25 seconds. MTS requests a fee for using the option of 30 rubles per month. Other operators provide all features without restrictions.

Connecting and disconnecting options have the same procedure regardless of the operator. MTS, Beeline or Megafon - it all depends only on the phone menu. Calls from Tele2 to MTS are redirected in accordance with the MTS tariff plan. From Tele2 to Beeline - tariff plans of the Beeline company. From Tele2 to Megafon - Megafon tariff plans.

Shutdown

If you no longer need to use a particular type of service, disable it by typing:

  • ##21# “Call” – deactivate unconditional forwarding;
  • ##62# “Call” – deactivate the option when the user is not online;
  • ##61# “Call” – disconnect if there is no answer;
  • ##67# “Call” – disable the service if the subscriber is busy.

To completely disable any type of option, including voicemail, dial ##002#, call button. This action will stop all types of forwarding that were previously configured for a specific phone number.

Deactivation of the service for SMS messages is performed by the command *286*0#, call button.

How does forwarding work on Tele2?

The essence of the “Forwarding” service is that all incoming calls to a number with forwarding installed are sent to another number that you previously specified when activating the service. The caller will not know which number he ended up calling. The maximum that he will see is a notification about the enabled forwarding service. But now almost everyone has it connected - the service is needed for Voicemail and “Who Called” functions. Therefore, in this way you can hide the fact that your number is disconnected if you suddenly have a similar need.

You cannot forward SMS using this service on Tele2.

Forwarding is very convenient to use when you are not sure about your phone - if it turns off, calls will be transferred to another phone.

Important changes in Tele2 tariffs and services - September news

Roaming

Calls in roaming are charged according to the terms of use of the tariff plan, relative to the subscriber’s location. Redirecting calls from Tele2 will help you save money while traveling. In this case, for a SIM card that remains in the connection region, a favorable tariff for foreign calls is set and call redirection is configured to a phone with a SIM card of a foreign operator. Forwarding to a foreign number will cost double, so in order to save money, it should be set to a local one.

Call forwarding from MTS to Tele2 Set up in Phone

The question of how much redirection costs is not an idle one. In addition to the connection fee for this service, you will need to spend a certain amount of money on ongoing calls, and this can become quite expensive, especially when it comes to roaming.

Connecting forwarding (read more...)

To use any option that is not included in the tariff plan, you must first activate it. Forwarding can be activated through the mobile portal. To do this, dial the command *111*40#call. Some people use the Internet assistant's prompts on the MTS website or send an SMS to the short number 111. The message should include the numbers 2111.
