If the subscriber forgot to top up the account, then the services of the mobile operator, namely calls and Internet access, will be more expensive. The reason is quite simple - daily tariffing will be automatically activated for a subscriber who has a zero balance.

But Vodafone anticipates such situations and has made sure that in such situations you can avoid unexpected charges and reactivate your tariff plan.

The package is reconnected using the USSD service. This service helps quickly, is free and only takes a couple of minutes.

To do this you need:

  • from your phone dial *101*444#; This combination is standard and the same for all tariff plans;
  • a few minutes after sending the USSD request, check your tariff plan using the following combination *101*4#.

In order for the service to be activated by MTS, before sending the command, you should top up your subscriber account with an amount at least equal to the cost of the monthly tariff plan.

How to find out the pack code from the operator

If you can’t find the plastic with the pack code printed on it, and it’s too late to go to the Vodafone (MTS) communication store, then you can contact the Vodafone Contact Center. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Dial 111.
  2. You will be taken to the voice menu.
  3. Following the prompts of the automatic informant, get in touch with a live operator.
  4. You contact him with an oral statement, confirming your identity: passport details (if you are under contract);
  5. know information about your number: the two numbers you communicate with most often;
  6. last replenishment amount;
  7. your account balance.

Vodafone yu

Unlike other operators, Vodafone has not outsourced its “youth line”, but sells it in its stores under the name Vodafone yu. The SIM card is sometimes free in promotions, but can cost up to 12 euros without credit (+5 euros for a nano SIM card). This is a combo plan with data, domestic calls and texts that has been opened up to 4G/LTE. It is sold in 3 different packages with the following internal discounts:

Yuser: 1.2 GB, 15 minutes, 20 SMS per month for 10 euros. Superyuser: 2 GB, 30 minutes, 60 SMS per month for 15 euros Megayuser: 3.5 GB, 60 minutes, unlimited SMS per month for 30 euros

All packages include free calls and text messages to Vodafone yu numbers. You can order or change a package by dialing *525*51# for Yuser, *525*52# for Superyuser or *525*53# for Megayuser. All packages are valid for 28 days, but can be renewed at any time by dialing *525*6#. Otherwise, packages will be automatically renewed every 28 days if there is money in your balance, unused data or minutes. After using the set amount of data, the speed will be reduced to 32 Kbps if the package is valid, otherwise you will be charged 2 EUR/day for 200 MB. You can also upgrade your plan after using up your data limit by dialing *525# and then selecting upgrade the same plan from the menu. This can be done as often as necessary if there is money in the account.

Vodafone facil

They sell this standard prepaid SIM card in their stores for 10 euros with a 10 euro credit. At Vodafone fácil all domestic calls cost 6 cents per minute and 18 cents per connection. All tariffs can be changed by dialing *626#. You can order a 500 MB data package for 5 euros on 4G/LTE, valid for 30 days, by dialing *313*22#. A very simple way to get a small amount of data from many stores. This is the only package for this card, but it can be updated at any time. The default rate outside the package is 3 euros per day for 200 MB.

International Smartphone SIM card for tourists

The new SIM card for calls and internet is called International Smartphone and is available for 15 euros, including 1.5 GB of data up to 4G/LTE and 60 minutes of domestic and international calls to 35 countries (2 GB and 50 minutes are valid until 23/05/17 ). This package is valid for 30 days. It is updated automatically if there are enough funds in the account. In this case, unused calls or data are transferred. When used beyond the limit, the speed is reduced to 32 Kbps; when using data outside the package, a daily rate of 2 euros per 200 MB applies. You can change this plan by dialing *565#.

In what cases is the number suspended and the card blocked?

Each new subscriber, when purchasing a starter package, can read on the box by what date the number must be activated. However, not everyone knows that after activation the number will be valid for only 2 months. And to extend this time for a year, you need to top up your balance by at least 5 UAH.

How to understand that the number has expired and the SIM card has become blocked? First of all, the functions of outgoing calls and SMS become unavailable to the subscriber. However, it remains possible to receive incoming messages and talk with other subscribers.

In addition, the option to use USSD requests remains. However, if within 180 days from the moment of activation no one calls or sends messages to this number, the SIM card will be permanently blocked.

  1. Go to the main page of the official website using the link: https://www.vodafone.ua/ru.
  2. Click on the button with the image of a man, which is located on the right side, immediately under the site header.

Attention: in the header above this button there is an option to select the appropriate language. You need to click on the arrow, and then select from the proposed options the appropriate and most convenient interface language for yourself.

Such a system for entering the personal section of the official Vodafone Ukraine website is required for the safety of each participant. But in reality, accounts here are provided for in advance, and they appear at the stage of activation and purchase of a SIM card. Therefore, the process is extremely simple for the company’s subscribers.

But to gain access to the account, and the consumer has not previously connected to the operator, he will need to connect. At the moment, it is not possible to use this option remotely, but the section is under development. Now a potential client of the mobile operator Vodafone needs to follow the following instructions to connect:

  1. Go to the page https://www.vodafone.ua/ru/support/search-shop, where you will need to select the store that is closest to the future subscriber’s home or work.
  2. Go to the nearest office in person. You will need to have your passport with you.
  3. Contact your employees to get involved.
  4. Write an application, forms to fill out are issued by the company.
  5. Give the passport and application to the employee, who will make a photocopy of the official document and return it back to the owner.

Attention: if you already have a copy of your passport, you still need to have the original document with you. Copies are not used to draw up contracts, especially if everything on them is blurry or individual numbers/letters are not clearly visible.

  1. Enter into a contract. This is a simple standard sample, into which the first and last name of the new client, some of his personal data are simply entered, and a copy of the passport is attached.
  2. A duplicate of the contract is issued, as well as the SIM card itself. If desired, you can ask a company employee to insert and activate it and check the stability of operation.

This instruction is also suitable if you want to keep your number, but switch to a new tariff. If it is not possible to do this yourself, or through your My Vodafone personal account, then you will have to contact the operator’s employees personally at offices or branches.

Important: legal entities, despite the difference in the scale of service provision, as well as in the specifics of using their personal account subsequently, must also follow the instructions provided when connecting.

“My Vodafone”: advantages and disadvantages of the application

Advantages of the My Vodafone mobile application:

Here it is more convenient to contact the operator. And there is an opportunity to get acquainted with the most asked questions and answers to them without contacting the operator.

The application has a functional design and a convenient menu. In addition, there is an opportunity to learn about promotions and become a participant. Living without this mobile application is, of course, quite possible. But it makes it much more convenient to control your account.
