Two simple ways to switch from Beeline to Tele2 while keeping your number

Providers constantly compete and fight for each client. The user is able to independently decide and choose the company from which he intends to serve. If you are going to leave the Beeline operator because you have found better offers on the side, then you can leave your previous phone number unchanged. We will tell you how to switch from Beeline to Tele2 while keeping your number, as well as what restrictions and reconnection conditions apply.

Conditions for porting a number to Tele2

Switching to another operator can be done in several ways.
There are several points that must be observed when carrying out this procedure:

  1. Personal data corresponds to those specified in the contract. Otherwise, you need to contact the Beeline branch for clarification. The phone number is valid, i.e. not blocked or registered to another person.
  2. The balance is positive, there is no debt on the personal account.
  3. The consumer has not performed an operation to change providers for more than 2 months.
  4. The subscriber submits an application in the city where he was a network user.

Before you start

Currently, subscribers are able to change cellular providers at their own request, while their previous telephone number will remain unchanged. In what cases will it be necessary to switch from Beeline to Tele2:

  1. The consumer is disappointed in Beeline products, he is not satisfied with the tariffs and the specifics of the provision of services. The new provider offers more interesting solutions and tariff plans at a reduced price.
  2. The user moves to another part of the locality, city, where Tele2 SIM cards have better reception.
  3. All close friends and relatives of the subscriber switched to Tele2 service.

The reasons for leaving Beeline may be different; in any case, the provider does not have the right to refuse re-registration.

Before replacing the SIM card, the following conditions must be met:

  1. If there are funds left on your personal balance, it is recommended to withdraw them to another number, bank card or e-wallet. This can be done via SMS, in a mobile phone store, or on the official Beeline portal.
  2. If you have a debt on your personal account, try to pay it off in full before changing operators. You can check the current balance status using the coded command *102#.
  3. In order for the phone number to be retained after the transition, it must be registered to the applicant. Otherwise, you need to contact a Beeline representative and re-register the contract.
  4. Information from the previous contract must fully correspond to reality. If your last name, first name, or gender has changed, you must promptly make adjustments to the provider’s database.
  5. It is possible to transfer a telephone combination only within the territory of one registration region.

If these conditions are not met, Tele2 may refuse to provide services.

Features of the transition

The re-registration service from Beeline to Tele2 is free and available to all clients. Only the owner can make the transfer. The user should submit an application in which he himself can set a transition date. Since the request is not checked immediately, but over the course of 8 days, the desired date, accordingly, will not arrive earlier than the same number of days.

During the verification period, the subscriber receives a temporary SIM card without any restrictions on communication services.

At the time of using this card, the consumer selects the tariff plan specified earlier when concluding the contract, which can be changed immediately after the transfer is approved. Therefore, all services of the previous provider will become unavailable.

Methods for transferring a number from Beeline to Tele2

The company offers its clients 2 ways to port a number.

Going to the company office

A personal visit to the Tele2 office is the most effective way when a subscriber decides to change operator.

There is an action algorithm for the consumer:

  1. Find the nearest branch in the city where the SIM card was purchased.
  2. Request re-registration to a free employee.
  3. Fill out an application where you indicate your personal data, as well as your phone number as part of the transfer.
  4. Choose a tariff plan based on your personal needs.
  5. Mark the desired date for the complete transition (no earlier than 8 days and no later than 6 months from the date of submission of the request).
  6. Conclude an agreement for the provision of communication services.
  7. Get a temporary SIM card.

After completing the steps, all you have to do is wait for an SMS confirmation from the selected provider approving the request.

To resolve the problem, contact the company office.

Application on the official website

There is an alternative option for re-registration.

You can carry out the transfer procedure online on the company portal:

  1. On the top panel of the official Tele2 website, indicate your place of residence.
  2. At the bottom of the page, click on the link “Connect with your number” to gain access to the standard application form.
  3. Enter the necessary data: personal, passport, Beeline phone number.
  4. Choose a tariff plan based on your personal needs.
  5. Determine how to receive a new SIM card: either by courier delivery or self-pickup. With the first method, you need to wait about 2 days, delivery is carried out on a paid basis. In the second case, you should select the nearest pick-up point on the map.
  6. Complete the application by clicking the button. This is how an agreement to process the received data occurs.
  7. After receiving the SIM card, insert it into your mobile device.

After completing the algorithm, you need to wait for the application to be approved.

Switch to Tele2.

Possibility of change

After the repeal of the law limiting the capabilities of subscribers, it became possible to change the company providing mobile communications. Is it possible to safely switch from Beeline to Tele 2 while keeping your number? Yes.

After all, this is a great opportunity for the company to increase the number of customers. People are trying to find a good deal. Therefore, being able to transfer a customer is a good way to increase your subscriber base.

In some situations there is no need to switch to another provider. Recommendations for a successful transition:

  1. There is no need to change the service company if the current tariff is completely satisfactory both in price and in terms of communication quality.
  2. It is worth collecting the necessary information about the owner of the SIM card, since his presence will be required.
  3. Find out more details from friends and acquaintances about how much they pay for the tariff, whether the company fulfills its conditions if you port the number.
  4. Choose the optimal time for the transition. Difficulties may arise that cannot be predicted in advance.
  5. Check balance. The score must be positive.

Before you start

The question of whether it is possible to switch to Tele2 from Beeline while keeping the number is no longer raised today: the right to save one’s own contact information is enshrined in law. However, there are also legitimate reasons for refusal. Make sure that the card does not have the following problems:

  • There is a discrepancy between the details of the passport for which the old SIM was issued and those indicated in the application for the purchase of a new one. There is only one way out: contact the real owner of the card and go with him to the operator’s salon. There is an agreement to transfer the number to you.
  • Debts and blockages. Nothing can be done about blocking due to non-use of the number. We pay off debts and make sure that they do not appear until the number porting procedure is completed.
  • Inconsistency between the region of ownership of the old Sim and the design of the new one. You should contact the salon of the city where the source was purchased.

To check whether there is a debt, send a USSD request: *102# call button. The blocking, if it was voluntary, can be removed at the Beeline office or from your personal account on the operator’s website.

Subtleties

The nuances of the shift play an important role, so they are worth mentioning:

  • As soon as the subscriber connects to the company, he will receive an SMS message saying that the new SIM card has been activated.
  • The transition will take about eight days. Thus, the old SIM card can be used under the same conditions until the expiration of this period of time.
  • 100 Russian rubles will be debited from the subscriber's account.
  • Since terminals do not always read recent changes, it is advisable to top up a new SIM card at the nearest communication stores.
  • You cannot save your phone number when changing operators if the subscriber is not in your region at the time.

Selecting a Tele2 tariff

The company offers its customers a variety of tariff plans based on user needs.

List of active tariff plans

  12. "Internet for devices." No monthly fee. Billing is per second and will cost the client 400 rubles. A minute of call will cost 2 rubles, and an SMS will cost 2.5.

Thus, the company’s client can choose a tariff with comfortable conditions based on his needs.

Possibility to choose a tariff after the transition

If the client switches, keeping the number, he can choose any of the current Tele2 tariffs. You can familiarize yourself with all the amenities and monthly payment either on the website or in the text of this article in the “List of active tariff plans” section. Connected services in the previous company will not be available.

How to switch to another operator

To change provider, you need to write an application. This can be done either at the provider’s office or on the official Tele2 portal. Next, an agreement is concluded between the parties, after which the subscriber receives a temporary SIM card with the selected tariff (can be changed in the “Personal Account”), where the old number will later be transferred.

The day before the transfer, the telecom operator notifies the subscriber via SMS about the need to activate the SIM on the network.

The entire procedure takes 8 days. During this time, the subscriber is informed about all operations occurring with his data.

A temporary SIM card is issued for the duration of the transition.

Transition from Tele2 to MTS: procedure

The rules for moving from one operator to another are different. You must follow the instructions of the receiving party. There are 2 ways to switch from Tele2 to MTS:

  1. By completing an application online.
  2. Directly at the MTS office

Attention! Even if you fill out an application online, you will still have to visit an MTS salon to receive a SIM card in your hands, to which the number will be transferred. The service is paid - 100 rubles must be on your balance.

Step-by-step description of the process of switching from Tele2 to MTS:

  1. Visit the MTS sales center and inform employees about your desire to switch from Tele2 to MTS. You will need to write an application in the prescribed form. Next, employees will issue a SIM card that will accept the old number. You are required to have your passport with you.
  2. When contacting remotely, you need to fill out a form on the website, which plays the role of an application. After filling out the data, you need to go to the MTS sales center. You must also have your passport with you.
  3. Waiting for data approval between operators does not exceed 8 days. As soon as the transition is ready, an SMS will be sent to the Tele2 card with a notification - insert a new SIM card into the phone for activation.
  4. Activation may take up to half an hour. During this time the network will be unavailable.

Next, you can use the old number in the MTS network as usual. If you have any questions, please contact the support service at the following numbers:

  • 8 800 250 8 250.
  • 8 800 250 0890.

The call is free from mobile and landline phones.

Detailed instructions on switching to MTS while maintaining the old number are in the video:

Difficulties in porting your old number

One of the difficulties is that the transition process can only be carried out within the limits of network use. If the user was served in Moscow, his application will be accepted only in this city.

When using a temporary SIM card, failures and technical interruptions are possible, during which communication is blocked. Only federal numbers can be translated.

If the phone is locked, then the transfer procedure will not be possible; the only way out is to conclude a new contract. If you choose the wrong tariff plan, you will have to wait until the company approves the transfer and then choose another one.

What difficulties may arise

It is important to understand the fact that if you do not know where the real owner of the telephone card is now, you should not even dream of transferring the number to the Tele2 operator service; you will have to choose: use the services of the old operator or purchase a new card for use in the selected network.

An even more interesting situation may arise in which the card is issued directly to a person’s old passport data; you will have to visit the office of the mobile operator and update them as soon as possible. Otherwise, number porting will definitely be refused, because all direct parties involved in such a decision compare their own subscriber data directly with each other so that the situation can be resolved in the shortest possible time and with the best solution for all interested parties. But, if the final choice has already been made, you only need to confirm your own decision and finalize the entire necessary set of documents, after which you can easily follow the established process of number transfer.

This action is protected by current legislation, you should rely on it and get a decent result.

What you need to pay special attention to

Some data that some sites are silent about. For example, if there are still debts on your old card, you won’t be able to switch to another operator. When there is one day left before activation, both operators will have poor communication.

For some time, Tele2 managers will call the new operator, because no one wants to lose their client.

Replenishing your number is another challenge that you will have to face. At first, you can only deposit money into your phone account in Beeline communication stores. Now all the steps have been completed, and all that remains is to wait for the operator to establish contact.

In what cases is it better to buy a new SIM card and refuse to save the number?

It also happens that a subscriber has been using one mobile operator for a long time, then decided to switch to another operator, keep his number, and in the end he decided to abandon both mobile operators and buy a new SIM card.

This happens in cases where the subscriber:

  • entered incorrect information about yourself in the application. He could have entered his full name, passport details, or his current phone number incorrectly. It seems that this is not a problem, you just need to correct the data and that's it. But if the subscriber does not want to visit the office of a given cellular operator again or go to its website, then it will be easier for him to simply abandon the old SIM card, his previous phone;
  • has a debt to the previous mobile operator, which he does not want to pay;
  • I have already transferred my old phone, and it is not yet 60 days from the date of such transfer;
  • received an old card in one city, and now he lives in another city/region, and he has no opportunity to return to the old city where he issued the previous SIM card.
  • is using a phone that was blocked by the previous service provider.
