What the ?
The beacon service is provided by almost all major operators. TELE2 was the first to launch the service of the same name, and after some time other companies also appeared with similar options. The name stuck, although other variations circulate among subscribers. For example, you may hear about a “beggar” on Iota or witness how someone is going to throw away free money. But no matter what you call this service, its meaning is always the same. How to throw a beacon on Iota, how to send a free token from your phone - all these phrases mean sending a request asking to call back.
This service is a lifesaver for subscribers in the following situations:
- Lack of funds in the personal account. An SMS message about a lack of money comes out of the blue and takes many users by surprise;
- Inability to promptly pay for services. Let the subscriber have the necessary amount to receive a voice telephony service, but there is not a single payment point nearby. If he knew how to send a request to call back on Eta, the problem would be solved instantly;
- Being in a roaming zone. Being outside the home network can result in huge expenses for a very short conversation. But once you send a “Call me back” request to Yota, you can forget about the financial side of telephone communication;
- The desire to save money at the expense of the interlocutor. Let the one who really needs the conversation pay. Subscribers are guided by this mercantile impulse quite often.
By the way, other operators have a separate one for these purposes, but you won’t find it here. This is not in her rules.
Why is the service needed?
The Yota service, please call back, is a convenient service that helps you stay in touch if you have no funds on your balance. Similar services are provided by almost all mobile operators. The greatest relevance of how to type a request is manifested:
- If there is no money in the account, a zero balance can make adjustments to the plans of any person. When the system prohibits making calls, you can send an SMS message asking to call back.
- If there is no way to top up the balance, a person may find himself in a difficult financial situation or may not be able to find ATMs or bank branches nearby.
- When you are abroad, being in a roaming zone, you can top up your balance through banking. Not all users are connected to the system.
- If you want to save money - if you don’t want to pay for minutes that benefit the other person, send him a message asking him to call back.
How to send a beacon from Iota
Sometimes the funds on your mobile phone balance run out at the most inopportune moment. Clients of the Yota operator can easily solve this problem. If you urgently need to call someone, but the account is negative. You can send a beacon from Iota or a request to “call me back” for free.
Option Description
You can send a beggar to IOTA no more than once a day. Exactly at 00:00 the counter is reset to zero, so the countdown begins again. This service is used by clients with a low balance so as not to spend extra funds from their account, especially if it is not possible to top up the SIM card in the near future.
IOTA subscribers can send a beacon to a subscriber of any other operator:
- Megaphone;
- Beeline;
- MTS;
- And also to many other small regional communication providers.
Being in roaming will not be a problem, because incoming calls for subscribers of this mobile operator outside the home region are also not charged. The “Call me back” request is sent as a USSD code. After a request is sent from the IOTA phone, the selected subscriber will receive an SMS with the text “Please call me back.” Also, as additional information, the date the request was sent and the phone number of the person who sent the beggar will be indicated. As confirmation of a successfully completed operation and delivery of the request, a notification in the form of SMS will be sent to IOTA’s number. The decision whether to call the sender of the request back or not is at the discretion of the recipient.

The Internet is an easy option for sending a beacon from Iota. To do this, you should visit the official resource of the cellular company:

This is the only way to contact someone with a zero balance. Other operators offer the call function at the expense of the interlocutor, but this is not the case here.
Judging by the statistics of my blog, many people come here for information about the Yota operator. In this case, I think it will be very useful to answer the most popular questions that people find on my blog.
What to do if there are no funds on your balance?
To make it comfortable for customers to use the services, Yota is constantly improving its tariffs and coming up with useful options. Previously, it was not possible to establish contact with a third party if there was no money on the balance sheet. People monitored their account balance and tried not to let it drop below zero. If there were not enough funds left, the person called and immediately hung up. The second one was supposed to see the missed call and call back.
Later the company introduced, otherwise it is called “Beggar on Iota”. This is a free way to contact your interlocutor. To use it, you do not need to connect anything - the service is initially activated in each SIM card.
Terms of service
The beacon on Iota appeared at the start of the telecommunications company’s activities. The name of the service was borrowed from the Tele2 operator, which gives its customers the opportunity to send free SMS with such a request without restrictions. However, the service is provided under different conditions:
- Every subscriber can use the service, since the operator does not take into account the tariff, term of cooperation and balance on the phone;
- message text – to choose from several templates;
- limit of free beacons - you can throw up to 5 pieces per day;
- the cost for 1 message is 0 rubles, that is, the option is free for everyone.
To use the service you need to dial the USSD command Yota.
How to reset the beacon?
If you find yourself in a difficult situation, a subscriber can notify a possible interlocutor using a free message. To do this, you need to dial the following combination on your device:
*144*destination number 10 digits#.
A request to call back is sent instantly to Eta. As a result, the recipient will receive an SMS with the request. It will be up to him to decide whether to call back or not. However, the sender is always notified when the message is delivered.
Sending a beacon from Iota is not that difficult. The service is implemented by typing a short USSD command. But there are restrictions on the number of such messages - no more than 5 per day. There is no way around this rule. The limit is automatically restored and becomes available after 00:00.
Such restrictions were created by the operator for two reasons:
- Because of subscribers who save on mobile communications and use only .
- Because of scammers who send beacons. After calling back, Eta's clients begin to receive unnecessary advertising. Sometimes callers are simply debited from their balance.
How to make a call at the expense of another subscriber?
Making a call at the expense of a third party implies that during the conversation, money will be debited not from the caller, but from his “friend.” For 2021, not a single Yota tariff has such an offer for customers.
Terms of service
There is no charge for sending a beacon message. To avoid abuse, the provider allows this USSD command to be used a limited number of times - no more than five per day. In addition, such a request can be sent to the federal number of any mobile operator.
As you can see, you have no choice between the ways you can send a freebie (“beacon”) from Yota. There is only one option - use the USSD code. But you definitely won’t get confused in numerous instructions.
from Iota
Operator Yota never advertises its additional services. It seems that they simply do not exist. Nevertheless, you can still send a request to Yota to call back, and it’s absolutely free. This opportunity is provided within the framework. It does not require a subscription fee or a separate fee for sending requests. You can send a beacon with any balance – negative, zero or positive.
In order to send a beacon from Yota to another number, you need to send the USSD command *144*XXXXXXXXXX#. The number is indicated in ten-digit format, for example, *144*9161234567#. After a few seconds, the specified number will receive a request that this person is waiting for a call, without being able to call himself.
The service requires certain limits. The thing is that some people have a manic need to send beacons to other users - they always have a zero balance, since they talk a lot and don’t have their own money. As a result, cases of abuse of this opportunity were recorded - recipients simply languished from constant requests. Therefore, it was decided to limit the number of beacons - Yota sets a limit of five requests per day. It is impossible to increase the limit or bypass this limitation in any way.
Not only Yota, but also other operators have similar limits on beacons - this is a common practice.
Restrictions
Using the “Waiting for a Call” system from Eta is simple. After submitting the corresponding request, you will receive a confirmation message. It will indicate the status of the operation: successful or failed. Then you just have to wait for the subscriber to see the message and call you back. Keep in mind that the service is limited - the operator took this step when many users began to abuse the opportunity.
In 1 day you can send no more than 5 messages with a request, but if there are more, wait until midnight for the counter to reset.
Please note that being in roaming does not cause the system to be blocked. If you are abroad or in another region, the system will encode the request and send a message with the appropriate marking to another user. If you want to know how to send a beacon from Iota, call technical support or visit the operator’s official website. You will quickly find the information you need there. Please note that receiving a request does not obligate the user to call back.
Sending a beacon via SMS
If it is necessary to contact a subscriber, the user can find out how to send a request to call back on Iota. If it is not possible to make a call, you can send a request via SMS. Instructions on how to send a beggar to a subscriber on Yota are presented on the company’s official website. The process of sending an SMS request is not complicated; to do this, you need to use the *144* command. Immediately after this, the digits of the subscriber number are entered and # is dialed. You can send a beggar through the call key.
Such a request will be sent instantly and will arrive at the subscriber’s number within 1 minute. As soon as the recipient receives the message, he will be able to call the Yota user. The sender will be notified that the beacon has been sent. It will be up to the recipient to decide whether to call back or not.
The service has several advantages:
- allows you to contact the subscriber even if there are no funds on your balance;
- makes it possible to save on calls while roaming (you don’t have to top up your balance);
- is provided to SIM card owners absolutely free of charge.
How to pay for Yota mobile communications
If you do not want to use, but need to call, you can top up your account in several ways:
- using a terminal;
- at an ATM;
- at the payment acceptance desk;
- through electronic payment systems;
- via Internet banking;
- in branches of various banks;
- no commission from a bank card.
Use one of the methods to top up your account. Each of them is simple and does not take much time.
The service, nicknamed “Jewish” Yota, helps you always stay in touch. Only minimal effort is required from you. It is enough to activate the SIM card once, and the option will be automatically available. Then you will always be in touch and will be able to reach the right people.
Additional package “50 SMS”
N – number of minutes in the selected package.
For example, *105*300# – will connect to a tariff package with 300 minutes of calls within Russia.
This option is available to subscribers who connected to a specific tariff plan before January 25 of the current year. They can change their old tariff to a new one. To do this, you need to use the following command: *105*N# (N is the number of minutes for unlimited tariffs).
It should be noted that since the beginning of this year, the company’s tariffs have undergone significant changes and have become even more profitable and economical for the operator’s subscribers. At the moment, Yota provides clients with a unique opportunity to take advantage of profitable package offers, the essence of which is a one-time (once a month) account replenishment to receive traffic, a certain number of messages and minutes.
