Citizens of Ukraine who live in eight regions of their native country have a Free Kyivstar tariff for 35 hryvnia per month. Thus, the list of supported regions includes Chernivtsi, Kharkov, Zaporozhye, Kirovograd, Chernihiv, Transcarpathian, and Nikolaev regions. The well-known operator offers residents of the specified administrative units the maximum benefit for calls.
In the case of the current tariff plan, funds are debited from the client’s balance only upon completion of communication. This also includes sending a text notification via SMS and ending the session connecting to the World Wide Web. Thus, people have the opportunity to pay for services only while using them.
Day online
The cost of the package is 15 hryvnia per day. The volume of traffic provided is 1000 megabytes. Available for a day.
In addition, in the Kyivstar online Extra package, you can watch any videos without any prior downloading.
Other services Kyivstar Online Extra

- 500 SMS messages to numbers of all Ukrainian operators
- Social networks without limits
- Unlimited calls on the Kyivstar network
Daily tariff
It is important to know that when switching to this tariff, in addition to activating the Kyivstar SIM card, you will need to activate the prepaid communication mode. The first payment must be at least 50 hryvnia.
In case of initial non-activation of the prepayment mode by depositing 50 UAH. on the balance, the following tariff is established:
- 1.00 ua for calls within the network and networks of other operators;
- 1.00 ua to SMS/MMS;
- 1.50 ua for landline numbers;
- SMS/MMS abroad – 2.20/5.00 ua;
- 5.00 ua/50 MB of Internet, but no more than 5 packages per day;
After using all available daily traffic, the speed is limited to 32 Kbps, and the Internet is free.
Attention: On September 21, 2017, the terms of service for this tariff will be changed. Thus, in particular, the amount of available Internet will be doubled – 6000 MB per month.
In addition to the packages, the following conditions are established: for a pack of messages of 50 pieces, you will have to pay 1 hryvnia. But after 50 sendings, the next volume will be 10 messages for the same price. You can order 95 such volumes per day, and after that each SMS sent will cost 1 hryvnia.
If you need to call subscribers of other operators, it will cost 60 kopecks per minute of conversation. The conditions for providing Internet access are similar to those described above.

Traffic monitoring and settings
To control the remaining megabytes of allocated data, a short combination of numbers 477 is used, which is dialed to make a call. Or you can use a number like 4771. Another option for tracking your balance is to visit your personal account in the self-service system.
Before joining this offer, you need to prepare a GPRS access point in your mobile device. If you are using a modem from Kyivstar, then check the Internet Prepaid item in the settings. Changing the modem parameters gives the right to use a cell phone to connect to the Internet (instead of a modem).
In general, it makes sense to get advice about the requirements of this tariff plan if you plan to actively use the World Wide Web. We can talk about the flexibility of using the package combined with its cost-effectiveness. Only residence in the designated eight regions of Ukraine is required, which is perhaps the only disadvantage of the Kyivstar 35 tariff plan.
Limitations of unlimited Internet\
Just like the Vodafone company in its unlimited packages, this tariff has a traffic limitation as soon as you exceed the minimum daily limit of 3 gigabytes. After which the speed is artificially limited to 0.8 megabits per second. That is, in fact, and according to the documents, the tariff remains unlimited and for communication on Viber this speed will be enough, but for more it is unlikely. In other words, the tariff would have the right to life if it were not for its regional connection to the area, and even how cunning it is that even the operator himself cannot accurately answer where this tariff can be connected.
How to connect to the “Unlim Talks” and “Unlim Social Networks” tariffs
There are several convenient ways to join the Kyivstar company:
- If you definitely decide to become a client of the Kyivstar operator, buy a starter set of services (SIM card) with the established tariff plan (the cost will be 45 UAH for “Unlim Conversations” and 65 UAH for “Unlim Social Networks”). Next, all you have to do is activate the purchased package by following the instructions. The starting package of services can be absolutely anything - having become a Kyivstar subscriber, you have the right at any time to change the tariff plan to any other one that is more profitable specifically for you.
- If you are an existing subscriber of the company and want to change the tariff conditions, install the “My Kyivstar” mobile application (works on Android and iOS devices).
- You can call 477*1 and, following the voice prompts, change the tariff.
Summarizing
The above conditions will be valid from September 21, 2017. Previously, before this date, the Internet was charged twice as much - only 3 GB, and the daily subscription fee was 5 hryvnia, while now it will double and amount to 10 hryvnia. Plus, now the Internet speed at the end of all traffic packets will be 28 Kbps, instead of 32 Kbps before.
For 10 hryvnia per day you can get:
- 200 MB Internet traffic (previously it was 100 MB);
- Additional Internet package 500 MB for 10 UAH.
- 10 minutes for calls to other networks.
Well, that’s probably all you need to know about this tariff plan. Whether to connect it or not is up to the subscribers to decide. But the fact that this offer is popular and profitable is certain.
The transition is available only after receiving an individual SMS offer!

Ukrainians massively complain about Kyivstar
At the same time, many Kyivstar subscribers increasingly began to complain about the quality of services from the largest mobile operator. Also, regulatory authorities are drowning in complaints about illegal withdrawals of money for services for which subscribers did not subscribe, and about an opaque payment policy. The indignation of subscribers throughout the country was caused by another “marketing move” from Kyivstar - in an effort to gain additional income Kyivstar, and after it other operators began to practice subscription fees not for a calendar month, but for 4 weeks , which is why subscribers pay a monthly fee for communication services 13 times a year. The Antimonopoly Committee saw in this signs of unfair competition and a violation of the Rules for the receipt and provision of telecommunications services, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 295 , which stipulates payment for mobile communication services as per “calendar month.” But Kyivstar refused to change anything under the pretext that monthly tariffs are provided for by law for a subscription fee, and the new communication tariffs are now called not a monthly fee, but a “fee for a package of services.”
Vodafone listened to the recommendations of the AMCU and canceled the tariff with payment for 4 weeks, and lifecell did not comment on its policy in this matter.
