What number to call an ambulance in Moscow

To call an ambulance in Russia, as in Moscow, there is a single emergency phone number - 112. After connecting and describing the current situation, the dispatcher will redirect the call to the appropriate authority. This may be the emergency room, psychiatry and other authorities. The number was deliberately chosen to be short, easy to remember and can be dialed quickly in any situation.

It is important to know that number 112:

  • Free for all mobile operators;
  • Operates around the clock, 7 days a week, without weekends and holidays;
  • Active in the European Union along with 911;
  • Allows you to make a call even when the card is blocked, is not inserted into the device at all, or there is no network coverage.

You can call it in absolutely any emergency situation. If you don’t remember the phone number of a specific service, dial 112, the operator will make a decision based on the situation you described and transfer the call to the right department.

The first ambulance station during the Russian Empire was opened in Warsaw in 1897. The appearance of the first ambulances in Moscow dates back to 1898.

Ask your loved ones and friends for the ambulance number - it is quite possible that the answer will unpleasantly surprise you. The correct current numbers are published in our memo. Save them in your mobile phone's address book and ask your child to remember them.

About service 103

To call a doctor, you need to dial 103. The operator will take the call and send a team to the named address. It is possible to call not only from a city or village, but also from a highway and country road, i.e. from any place where there is a cellular signal.

A single short emergency number has also been created for citizens - 112. The call will be redirected to the operator of the nearest emergency medical service to number 103.

How to call an ambulance or emergency help from a mobile phone

You can call the 112 service without a SIM card and with a balance of 0. The approximate time it may take to dial is 4-5 minutes.

If a person has a sharp pain in the heart, or has suffered a severe burn, injury, or bleeding, he urgently needs to dial 103.

When questions arise about how to call an ambulance and help the victim before the doctors arrive, you should consult by calling the helpline.

What to tell the dispatcher when calling an ambulance

By contacting the emergency dispatcher by calling 103, you need to:

  • tell what happened;
  • provide your phone number;
  • give the address or location of the victim with a detailed explanation of how to get there;
  • tell which house, entrance, floor and intercom code;
  • if the incident happened on the road, then describe the area and landmarks;
  • say your full name;
  • name the patient's details.

The operator will answer the call and inform you about the arrival time of the medical team.

Single emergency call number

Many countries have come to a common decision to create a single ambulance number to provide emergency support to people in trouble. Telephone 112 operates along with all existing numbers of rescue organizations: fire, medical, gas and police.

Since February 2013, telephone number 112 has received calls about any emergency incidents in Russia; they are carried out free of charge. Even if your mobile number is blocked or your SIM card is missing, you can call the emergency service from anywhere in the country.

Ambulance numbers from mobile and landline in Russia

After switching from 2 to 3 digit numbers, the first ones were not deactivated and continue to work as usual. If you need to report an incident by home phone or public payphone, the numbers to call a doctor will be as follows:

  • Ambulance - 03 or 103;
  • Gas service - 04 or 104;
  • Firefighters - 01 or 101;
  • Police - 02 or 102.

If a child or adult urgently needs psychological help, dial. The number is the same for both landline and mobile phones, and the call is free.

Free assistance

Free emergency care is provided regardless of whether a person has a medical insurance policy - at the expense of the state budget. An ambulance call is available from a landline and mobile phone connected to any cellular tariff.

The arrival time of the team according to the standards of the Russian Ministry of Health is 20 minutes. For stroke and heart attack - up to 12 minutes. An ambulance should arrive at the scene of an accident within 7-8 minutes.

The ambulance is equipped with special equipment: an electrocardiograph, a defibrillator, an anesthesia-respiratory apparatus, oxygen cylinders and a cardiac monitor.

If the situation is not critical, the service employee will direct the call to a consultant therapist.

Cases in which an emergency call is necessary

Qualified Moscow ambulance doctors are always ready to assist victims, immediately arrive when called and take emergency measures to save their health. However, every person should know in which situation it is necessary to immediately go to the emergency room, and in which situation you can take the necessary measures yourself or go to the clinic.

For example, many people rush to the phone to call an ambulance when they have a high temperature. However, in most cases, you can bring it down yourself, having antipyretic drugs on hand. An increase in temperature is a natural protective reaction of the body during a cold. With proper drug treatment and adherence to the regimen, the patient’s condition will stabilize within 2-3 days.

You should resort to the help of emergency doctors when the temperature reaches alarming levels (above 40°C) or if it does not subside for more than 3 days.

Calling an ambulance in Moscow is needed in the following situations:

  • the occurrence of acute pathology;
  • sudden exacerbation of a chronic disease;
  • sudden manifestation of a dangerous disease;
  • receiving dangerous injury.

At the same time, to treat a chronic disease without exacerbation, calling an ambulance is not only unnecessary, but also harmful . Here it is necessary to contact the attending physician at the clinic, who has information about the dynamics of the disease, is familiar with the current condition of the patient and knows what treatment was prescribed. While emergency doctors prescribe potent drugs that are designed to quickly improve the patient’s condition and eliminate the threat to life. Such drugs are not suitable for conventional treatment; they can only cause additional harm to the body.

You should not call an ambulance in order to get recommendations for treatment of a chronic disease, to obtain prescriptions for drugs or a certificate. These actions are not within the competence of emergency physicians. There are doctors or nurses at the clinic for this.

Sometimes an ambulance call ends with the fact that, after examining the patient, the doctors call the local doctor from the clinic to see him, since the case is within his competence. But such a specialist could be called by the patient himself or his relatives, without going to emergency care. Time is lost both for the patient and for the ambulance team, which may be more needed elsewhere.

It is necessary to remember that the doctor from the clinic will come any day of the week, even weekends.

Just remember to give the actual address of the patient’s stay, and not his registration address. It also does not matter whether the patient has an insurance policy or not - the doctor will come when called in any case.

In case of injury, you need to call an ambulance when there is a serious danger to health or life (for example, severe blood loss or pain). In case of minor injury, you need to get to the clinic on your own or with the help of loved ones or relatives, where doctors will provide the necessary assistance. Here they will make a decision about the need for hospitalization.

When calling an ambulance in Moscow, you need to know that its staff includes specialists in various fields. Both therapists and pediatricians work here. The necessary specialist will arrive as part of the team, provide emergency assistance and recommend further actions. If the doctor considers it necessary to hospitalize the patient, he will issue a referral to the appropriate department of the hospital.

Rules for communicating with an emergency operator

It is necessary to clearly and promptly answer questions from service employees, and immediately provide the following information:

What happens for a false ambulance call: liability and fines

Jokes with such services are inappropriate. An ambulance call center is very good at locating a caller. We do not recommend trying to prank the dispatcher even from a blocked SIM card - anonymity is unlikely to be maintained, and your actions will result in administrative liability and a fine. This approach allows us to reduce the number of deliberate false calls and direct doctors to where they are really welcome.

In accordance with Article 19.13 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, a knowingly false call to the police, fire department, emergency medical service and other special services is treated as an administrative offense.

The fine for individuals ranges from 1000 to 1500 rubles. It is planned to increase it to 3,000 rubles or impose compulsory work of up to 100 hours. In case of repeated violation, the amount of punishment will increase to 5,000 rubles.

The law on paid ambulances from June 20, 2019 - true or not?

At the moment, there is a discussion of a new law on paid ambulance calls when certain standards are exceeded. It is worth noting that no presidential decrees were signed in 2021 or 2021. The initiative is in the draft stage.

Regardless of the availability or validity of an insurance policy, medical care in Russia is provided free of charge to any victim. If you think that the ambulance will not arrive on time, try to provide first aid yourself. The employee on the phone will always provide maximum assistance and give advice on maintaining the life of the victim until the crew arrives.

  • Tele2 – 010
  • Yota – 101 or 010;
  • Rostelecom - 101 or 010.

Service for the deaf

These contacts belong to the dispatch service for the deaf. This is what its leader Liliya Ionichevskaya

:

“Our service was organized in 2013 by the Moscow Department of Social Protection. We serve hearing impaired people who are registered in our database.

There are also telephone dispatch services for the deaf in Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk and Astrakhan regions.

When registering, the client provides documents confirming his disability. Our operators help people who are deaf and/or have speech problems communicate with the outside world.

Of course, in some emergency, we can help a person who is not registered in our database. If he cannot speak, but needs urgent help, the operators will meet him halfway and help him, but in general this is not what our service is for.”
