The MTS Family tariff is a real opportunity for many users to save money on their account. This is a convenient service that allows five subscribers – members of the same family – to use one set of services. Often, such TPs are connected in order to save money, in order to use one Internet on several devices. You do not need to pay for each separately - all debits are made from one account. In the spring, MTS presented a new line of tariff plans, Our Smart - with it, a subscriber can connect 5 subscribers to one account. Tariff parameters

Main parameters:

  • Subscription fee – 990 rubles per month.
  • Calls – 1500 minutes to any numbers in Russia.
  • Messages – 500 SMS to any numbers in Russia.
  • Mobile Internet is unlimited.
  • Mobile TV – 166 channels on MTS TV under the “All MTS” subscription. Super+"
  • The tariff plan is not intended for a modem. If a SIM card with a tariff is used in a modem, Internet access is limited.

Extra options:

  • Calls to any numbers in Russia after the end of the package – 1.75 rubles per minute.
  • SMS to any numbers in Russia after the end of the package - 3.5 rubles per message.

Everything is clear here - the public tariff plan of the federal mobile operator is standard for the current realities. But let's see what's interesting in the detailed description of the tariff.

Additional terms:

  • If there are insufficient funds in the account at the time the monthly subscription fee is charged, then a daily subscription fee is included - 43 rubles per day (1308.81 rubles per month, which is 32.2% higher than the standard monthly fee).
  • Internet distribution via Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth is available, but limited - 10 GB per month. For distributions in excess of this package, a fee is charged - 80 rubles per day of use. During the paid calendar day (from 00:00 of the current day to 00:00 of the next), the Internet can be distributed unlimitedly.
  • You can use file-sharing networks, such as torrents. But such pleasure costs 75 rubles per calendar day. After payment, which occurs automatically when trying to connect to a file-sharing network, the user is given a 5 GB package. After it is exhausted, you can use file-sharing networks using additional paid options - “Turbo buttons”.

After reading these conditions, we can say that the tariff does not change MTS standards - distribution after the limit for extremely impressive money (80 rubles per day) and automatic payment for torrents - 75 rubles for a 5 GB package per calendar day. It’s strange that unlimited Internet is valid not only in the home region, if you know what I mean (PS there is such a condition in the MTS Tariffishche tariff plan).

How to register an MTS SIM card yourself

Install the MTS subscriber application on your gadget and open it.

Download the app

The program will prompt you to scan the barcode on the back of the SIM card package. Do it. The application may request access to your smartphone camera - you must allow it.

After scanning, the mobile number associated with the SIM card and the tariff will be displayed on the screen. Click on the “Continue” button to register this number to yourself.

Take a photo with the front camera. The application will help you do this correctly.

Take a photo of your passport (the page with your photo on it). Check if the application correctly recognized your data. If necessary, repeat the shooting; manual corrections cannot be made.

Enter the registration address indicated in your passport.

In the next step you will see the text of the agreement between you and MTS. Read through and click “Sign”. The signature is placed directly on the smartphone screen with your finger.

If required, enter additional information about yourself and click “Activate SIM card”.

Your SIM card is ready to use - everything will take no more than five minutes.

You can change the list of connected services on a new number, change the tariff or top up your balance in the free My MTS application.

“WE MTS” is a family tariff plan, so you should not consider it only as a solo tariff. allows you to add additional numbers that can use packages of minutes, SMS and Internet from the main number.

Let's look at the features:

  • The subscription fee for each connected additional number is 150 rubles.
  • The maximum number of additional numbers is 5.
  • The additional number can use a package of minutes and SMS from the main number, and also receives unlimited mobile Internet (with the same conditions as on the main number).
  • Calls from group members to each other are free, unlimited and do not consume the package of minutes.
  • The initiator can set a personal limit for each package for any group member.

Previously, on the “Our Smart” tariff, the mobile Internet package was limited (within the limits), but the cost of additional numbers was significantly lower - 55 rubles per month (regardless of the number of additional numbers connected).

Shutdown

Despite all the benefits of the package, its use is often inconvenient, which is why many customers soon rush to disable the service. To do this, you need to log in to your personal account on the mobile operator’s website, then go to the section with registered services, and here disable the corresponding function. You can also always contact the nearest branch of your mobile operator to turn off everything you need.

Important! If you contact a specialist in a communication salon, you must have a passport of the subscriber for whom a previously valid tariff plan was issued.

If a subscriber wants to share his options with other family members or other loved ones, he can always connect the appropriate option from MTS for his tariff plan. Of course, it’s difficult to call this option significant savings, however, if you constantly have extra minutes, SMS or Internet, then the option of including additional numbers does not seem as unjustified as it might seem at first glance.

Tariff “WE MTS+ 500”

MTS also has another tariff - “WE MTS+ 500”, which includes not only mobile communications for the whole family, but also home Internet with home TV.

Main parameters:

  • Subscription fee – 1290 rubles per month.
  • Calls – 2000 minutes to any numbers in Russia.
  • Messages – 500 SMS to any numbers in Russia.
  • Mobile Internet is unlimited.
  • Mobile TV – 166 channels on MTS TV under the “All MTS” subscription. Super+"
  • Home Internet – up to 500 Mbit/s.
  • Home TV – 164 IPTV channels, including 43 HD

The difference compared to the “WE MTS” tariff is as follows: the subscription fee is 300 rubles higher, there are 500 more minutes, and there is also home Internet and home TV.

As you understand, the tariff is not available in all cities of Russia, since not everywhere there is Home TV from MTS, let alone home Internet at speeds of up to 500 Mbit/s and even more so.

How to disable a tariff plan

To refuse to use WE MTS+ 500, you need to connect any tariff through the “My MTS” application or in another convenient way. And to completely cancel MTS services, you need to contact the operator’s office.

Personal opinion

If 1500 or 2000 minutes are enough for the whole family (for the main and additional numbers), and unlimited Internet is suitable for you, which has problems with distribution and torrents, then you can consider connecting to the “WE MTS” and “WE MTS+” tariffs . It is also worth considering alternative options from Beeline (Close People and Close People+) and Megafon (Unite).

Honestly, if my whole family didn’t have favorable non-public tariffs, I would even ask MTS if they would provide me with 500 Mbit/s Internet. By the way, most likely they won’t. Personally, I don’t really like family tariffs, because if one of the members of the general group wants to change the conditions of the tariff or switch to another operator with normal Internet distribution, and also, if necessary, change the Internet provider or TV service provider, the benefit from the family tariff may melt before our eyes or even turn into a minus.

But if you are confident in the quality of MTS services, and also that all family members will use (or are already using) mobile communications, home Internet and home TV from MTS, then... why not?

Advantages

Separately, I would like to consider the main advantages of this option for using an available service:

  • you can connect up to five people;
  • family members or loved ones do not need to top up their balance;
  • the subscriber independently distributes services;
  • can be turned on and off at any time.

It is also worth noting that for five people the cost of such a tariff looks simply ridiculous, since none of the other operators are able to offer anything better.

How to share packages with others

  • You can transfer part of your packages to one or more (up to five) MTS numbers. Please note: the tariff plan for these numbers will change to a new one, without a monthly fee. Number owners will be notified via SMS and will have to give their consent.
  • Each number with whom you share packages costs 150 rubles per month. This money is debited from your mobile number.
  • You decide how many minutes, gigabytes and SMS each number with whom you share your packages will receive. By default, your loved ones will have unlimited mobile Internet.

To share packages, on the tariff page, click “Share packages”. If necessary, log in using your MTC number and click “Login”.

Select "Invite Member" from the list and scroll down. Participant is the number of an MTS subscriber who will receive part of the packages of your “WE MTS” tariff.

Enter the participant's number, select the number of minutes, SMS and, if necessary, gigabytes that you are willing to allocate to him, and click “Start sharing.”

Wait until the user of the number you added confirms his consent to share the “WE MTS” tariff and change the tariff on his number. We will send an SMS to the added number, to which you need to respond with the word “Yes”.

After this you will receive a confirmation SMS.

Connection in the application

You can connect to the plan through the application. Many operators create programs. They help reduce the burden on technical support and provide users with convenient tools for subsequent account management.

How to use the program?

  • Download the “My MTS” application from the official store.
  • After installation, log in.
  • Authorization will occur.

Detailed conditions

The user of the tariff for MTS subscribers who are served in the initiator’s region, in an amount of no more than five, can initiate the addition of a discount in three ways:

  • in the menu *919#
  • by command *919*1*7ХХХХХХХХХХ# where the recipient's subscriber number is indicated
  • In the My MTS application
      The discount is activated automatically when the recipient receives an invitation to join the “Discount for Friends” group and accepts it. Activation of the discount is accompanied by SMS information for both the initiator and the recipient.
  • Each participant can participate in only one group under the “Discount for Friends” promotion. One group contains a minimum of one initiator and one recipient, a maximum of one initiator and five recipients. The cost of creating a group is 100 rubles for the initiator.
  • If the recipient’s number already has a discount with a large value, then the discount for the promotion is not activated. If the number has discounts on the “My Smart”, “My Unlimited” tariffs and promotions with equipment, then the discounts are multiplied.
  • If the number already has a discount with a lower value, or with the same value, then the discount for the promotion is activated, excluding the current one.
  • The discount cannot be used by corporate clients, users of tariff plans that do not have a monthly, weekly, daily subscription fee, subscribers of tariff plans of the “All MTS” line, users of tariff plans without a subscription fee; Corporate b2b; tariffs of Smart mini lines; Smart light; MTS Tablet; MTS Connect; Smart for your own, Call Mom, Smart device; For tablet; For modem; For cars; Cool; Pro; Regional; Smart_per minute. When changing the tariff on the recipient's side, the discount will remain if the new tariff applies to participants of the promotion and the amount of the discount on the new tariff is similar.

Internet on Smart tariff

The tariff provides 25 GB of Internet traffic.

This volume is enough for a month to use the Internet at an average volume:

  • surfing the Internet and searching for information;
  • social networks and messengers;
  • use of navigators, online maps and applications for taxis and transportation;
  • viewing video services in limited quantities;

If the traffic on the tariff has run out, the MTS Smart 4g tariff provides for an automatic increase in Internet traffic by 500 MB for 95 rubles. The service is provided 15 times during the month.

Important! You can disable the automatic Internet renewal feature. To do this, dial the command *111*936#✆.

You can independently connect additional gigabytes by using the “Turbo buttons”: from 100 MB to 20 GB. The cost will depend on the volume chosen.

When traveling around Russia, traffic for Yandex applications - “Yandex Navigator”, “Yandex Maps”, “Yandex Transport”, “Yandex Trains”, “Yandex Parking”, “Yandex.Air Tickets” is not charged and traffic packages incl. are not spent.

When should I sign up for this plan?

If you study the full information, the tariff can be called an entry-level option. For the optimal amount, everything that an ordinary subscriber may need in 2021 is provided.

Who is the program created for?

  • Don't waste a lot of traffic.

There are different reviews; there is no consensus among subscribers. Some people don’t have enough minutes, others don’t have enough traffic, and some people think the fees are too high.

The terms of the promotion apply to all (old and new) MTS subscribers, provided they have the technical ability to connect digital TV and the Internet in Moscow and the Moscow region. A 100% discount on mobile communication services is provided when paying for sets from the following tariff packages:

How to share a tariff with other subscribers

To share the tariff with your loved ones, you need to add them to the “Family” group. This can be done in the “My MTS” mobile application or via the USSD command * 918 #.

You are allowed to add no more than 5 numbers to a group. For each user you will have to pay 150 rubles monthly.

Features of charging a subscription fee

When purchasing a new SIM card or switching to MTS with your own number, the monthly fee for the first month is debited daily - 33 rubles every day. From the second month, the subscriber is debited once a month.

If you switched to “We are MTS” from another operator tariff, then the fee is debited immediately for the entire month, i.e. in the amount of 990 rubles.

This is another pitfall of the “We are MTS” tariff: you won’t even know that you are overpaying. At least until the funds on your balance run out completely.
