Important information! The option was designed and released by the mobile operator for use on routers and modems.
For the opportunity to use any online services and sites without any limits, you must pay 750 rubles per month. This is an excellent price, considering that 4G modems from MTS work anywhere the operator’s network is available.
“Sounds very good, but what exactly can I do if my Internet modem provides a speed of 4 Mbps?” - you might be thinking. We answer. You can listen to online radio or listen to music on any streaming platforms without any interference. This is also a guarantee of stable viewing of online videos in standard quality (at a resolution of 720x576).
Important information! The ability to connect the option is open only to subscriber accounts that are serviced under the terms of the MTS Connect-4 tariff plan.
The option can be used on 4G and 4G+ mobile modems and routers, which are sold on the company’s website with the option of pickup and free home delivery.

How to connect the “Internet 4 Mbit” option
The service can only be used if you have a 4G Wi-Fi router or modem from MTS. However, the option “Internet 4 Mbit/sec.” Either by default it comes bundled with the tariff plan for devices, or it is connected independently. In the second case, it is necessary that at least 14 days have passed since the purchase of the router or modem and the conclusion of the contract.
To independently connect the option “Internet 4 Mbit/sec.” in addition to the MTS Connect-4 tariff, go to a special website designed to control and manage Internet services. Log in using your phone number and personal password (if not, click “Receive by SMS”). After authorization, go to the services and options section, find “4 Mbit Internet” in it and click “Connect”.
The mobile operator has not provided any other ways to activate the tariff option.
How did you connect all this stuff?
On the day I left the request, a MegaFon employee called back. They say, we received it, we can install everything for you, just choose a time.
The next day, two guys knocked on the door in the morning. They brought two boxes - a router and a TV set-top box, documents and tools. While I was filling out my passport details, the guys went to the entrance “for 20 minutes.” They were gone for an hour and a half.

MegaFon's router is not locked; if you wish, you can change the settings yourself. This is a model from D-Link, has 4 LAN ports, one WAN and a USB 2.0 port for connecting external devices. Alternatively, you can safely use your own instead.

Everything worked, the documents were checked, the SIM card was activated. We took a couple of speed measurements on my devices (iPhone, iPad, several Macs). And with that we said goodbye.
I said I would connect the TV set-top box myself. It was also very fast: I entered the phone number, connected via Wi-Fi and started using it.
The tariff was fully activated (and money was written off) the next day, at which time the speed was recorded at around 500 Mbit/sec.
Rules and limitations of the “Internet 4 Mbit” option
If a subscriber uses the services of file-sharing resources and networks, MTS limits the connection speed to these directions to 512 Kbps.
Geographically, the coverage area of the service extends to any regions and areas of Russia that are covered by telecommunication stations of the mobile operator. However, using the service in a region that is not home to the subscriber requires an additional fee:
- Fee for using “Internet 4 Mbit/sec.” when traveling around Russia – 50 rubles/day.
- If during a calendar day the subscriber has never used the Internet, the fee will not be charged.
- Withdrawals are made at the start of the first Internet session of the day. The moment from the date of debit until 23:59:59 of the current day is considered paid.
- If during one day the user visited several Russian regions, the fee is charged only once.
- The speed of access and conditions of provision are maintained regardless of the region of residence.
Online option
This service is ideal for active consumers of network resources and for the youth segment of the population. It implies unlimited communication in instant messengers, social networks and Twitter, complete unlimited on MTS. List of applications under the affiliate program: VK, FaceBook, Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, Instagram, Telegram, Skype, MTS and Odnoklassniki. View photos, listen to music, create a live stream, make calls and video calls - all this is not charged according to the main contract.
The option is valid on all tariffs except Hype and MTS Tablet. Not valid on the territory of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. Does not work when downloading links and files from third-party pages on the Internet. There is a subscription fee for use of 4 rubles per day. Stops working if there are no funds on the subscriber's balance. To start, dial USSD - *345# or use the standard methods listed earlier in the article. To deactivate, enter the request - *111*345*2#. On many existing contracts (Unlimited, Zabugorishche) it is provided free of charge.
How much does Internet access cost up to 4 Mbit?
The service provides for monthly billing, in which 750 rubles are deducted from the subscriber’s balance. There are no additional charges unless used while outside your home region.
Rules for charging fees
The first time the monthly fee is withdrawn from the account immediately after connection. In the future - with the onset of the day the number of which corresponds to the connection date. MTS equipment automatically checks the subscriber's balance before the planned deduction of fees. If there are not enough funds, the ability to access the Internet is blocked. The ban does not in any way affect the functionality of the SIM card, which does not depend on GPRS. Access is restored automatically as soon as the balance appears sufficient for debiting.
Important information! If there is no planned date for withdrawing the subscription fee in the month, the money will be deducted on the last day. For example, you connected “Internet 4 Mbit/sec.” August 31. In September and other months with 30 days, money will be debited from the account on the 30th, and in February - on the 28th or 29th.
If at the time of the scheduled debiting of funds the subscriber's account is blocked (for administrative, financial reasons, due to loss or on the subscriber's personal initiative), the operation is postponed until the operator unlocks the SIM.

I am happy with the Internet, mobile tariff, even the router. TV had to go to the box office. Moreover, the connection took two days. But the main thing now is different.
