The essence of the service

Detailing - a list of all transactions performed on the number, with a breakdown of time, date, duration/volume, direction and cost. This is an effective way to control your expenses and plan future communications expenses. The extract is provided to the subscriber-owner of the number by each mobile operator.

The printout reflects all completed operations: calls, SMS, access to the Internet, reading voice mail, forwarding. Information about a call that the subscriber did not accept (missed), or an SMS that he did not have time to read (the phone was turned off, and undelivered messages are stored for only 72 hours) will not be included in the statement.

Tele2 also does not provide transcripts of SMS contents in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Private Information.

Detailing is a simple way to find out the number if the subscriber has lost the SIM card or forgotten it and did not have time to save it. But as a method of dealing with anonymous calls, it is not very effective. In standard printouts, the number that is displayed as unknown will be marked.

Using the details, it is easy to check whether the phone has unwanted services and which service provides them. Subscriptions are marked as "Entertainment Content". How to order call details

The details include the following information:

  • telephone number and period for which the report was prepared;
  • facts of account replenishment in cash and through mobile transfers;
  • accrued fees for connected services and subscription services;
  • list of calls, SMS, consumed traffic and other operations with decryption;
  • summary report on spending on calls, messages and the Internet (amount accrued and withdrawn);
  • useful information from the operator.

The list of operations is presented in a table that contains:

  • time (date, hours, minutes, seconds) of the action;
  • current tariff. If the operation is free, they write “BV”;
  • type of operation (incoming/outgoing call, SMS, message to voice mail (“Voice Mail”), access to the Internet);

  • duration in seconds for calls, volume for consumed traffic;

What is “Content” on Tele2

“Content” is the SIM card information menu, which is available to all operator subscribers who have inserted it into their smartphone. It also has another name - “Mobile subscriptions”, and is reflected not only on the phone, but also in your personal account on the operator’s website or in the application.

Use of the content offered by the operator is often paid, but such information (for example, “Horoscope” or “Weather”) has no value, however, payment is charged on a daily basis. You can activate a subscription by sending an SMS or a command, calling a short number, or even responding to any form on the Tele2 website.

If such a service is listed in the list of connected ones, this means that a daily fee is charged for it. The subscriber receives content in the form of notifications or SMS from short numbers that contain certain information. This could be currency changes, weather, latest news, etc. That is, the operator asks to pay for data that is freely available in the media and the Internet.

All expenses for paid subscriptions are always reflected in the itemization of expenses. You can request statistical data on the website or through the application. This is not always possible, but in some situations the subscriber is able to prove that the activation of the service occurred against his will.

    During further testing, it turned out that calls to a disabled Tele2 number will also be charged for subscribers of other operators. For example, when calling from an MTS number (Super MTS tariff), the called subscriber was charged p 2.1 - the same as for one minute of a local connection.

    Paid voicemail

    Tele2 connects to its subscribers by default. Accordingly, when the subscriber is not available, the auto-informer turns on, informing about the impossibility of connecting with the subscriber and offering to leave a voice message after the signal. Even if the subscriber does not leave a message, his operator will charge this call as a toll call.

    Since most tariffs accept per-minute billing for calls, the subscriber is charged for one minute of an outgoing call. True, if the subscriber hangs up the call as soon as he hears the answering machine message, then the funds should not be debited from him: in accordance with the Rules for the provision of mobile communications services, calls lasting less than 3 seconds are prohibited from being charged.

    CNews discovered a similar feature—the tariff for listening to voice mailbox greetings—for calls to switched-off MTS and Sky Link numbers (this network is also owned by Tele2). However, we note that MTS, unlike Tele2, does not automatically connect voicemail: the subscriber must connect it himself.

    MTS and Tele2 charge money for a call to an unavailable subscriber, but Megafon and Beeline do not.
    Beeline and Megafon do not do this.

    At the same time, making calls between two VimpelCom numbers (Beeline trademark) connected to the “Everything” tariff, the CNews correspondent did not find the fact that funds were written off for listening to the voicemail greeting.

    When calling from other networks to a Beeline number outside the access zone, CNews also did not encounter charges for listening to the welcome message (calls were made from the Tele2 and MTS networks). Finally, a call to a Megafon subscriber who was outside the access area and activated the voice mail service was also not charged.

    Dangerous long distance calls

    Subscribers should keep in mind that this charging approach is also used for long-distance calls. A CNews correspondent called from Moscow to the numbers of St. Petersburg Beeline and Megafon and listened to the corresponding messages from voicemail boxes, but no money was withdrawn.

    Calls to subscribers of St. Petersburg MTS and Krasnodar Tele2 were charged in accordance with long-distance components (for example, p 4.2 on the “Super MTS” tariff).

    What is the operator's benefit?

    Operators who have established a similar method of charging for listening to greeting messages by the head of the mail receive money for the so-called interconnect - payment from the operator whose subscriber initiated the call. The interconnect rate is p 0.95 per minute.

    A source in one of the mobile operators explained to CNews that the charging of calls between operators, in contrast to the charging for subscribers, is carried out on a per-second basis. That is, for the fact of listening to a voicemail message, the operator serving the subscriber will receive money based on just a few seconds of conversation. But with a large number of calls to subscribers outside the coverage area, this will still bring good revenue, says CNews’ interlocutor.

    Who wants to earn money and who doesn't?

    “In our opinion, the operator’s switchboard that receives the call should transmit a signal to start the connection only after a beep, which allows you to leave a message in the voicemail box,” explains VimpelCom representative Anna Aibasheva, explaining the operator’s policy in the field of charging calls to voicemail . — It is not entirely fair to equate an autoinformer message with a response to a subscriber, since this is just reference information and no service is provided at this moment. It’s the same as charging a subscriber money for listening to a message that the recipient is unavailable.”

    For its part, MTS does not see a problem with the tariff method chosen by the company. “Tariffing from the first second of the call occurs only if the subscriber being called has a voice mail service activated; this is done so that the calling subscriber can leave a message,” says company representative Dmitry Solodovnikov . — The voice mail service is a niche one; only tenths of one percent of our entire subscriber base subscribe to it. If voicemail is not connected, then charging will be carried out after a service message stating that the subscriber’s phone is unavailable.”
