Transfers of money from a mobile phone account of an MTS operator to a Sberbank plastic card are now possible for major payment systems (Visa, MasterCard, MIR). Only some Visa and MasterCard business packages, pension cards and some credit cards with a grace period, for example, the Visa instant debit card, do not support this service.
Operations of debiting money from a telephone account are carried out to replenish the card if there is not enough money on it, for transfers to relatives and friends, as well as in case of erroneous transfers to a mobile payment account.

How to transfer money to MTS via Sberbank card?
In general, the procedure is not complicated, and most importantly, it suits all the operator’s clients, regardless of which bank the card belongs to. Knowing how to transfer money to MTS via a Sberbank debit card, you should also remember the following features:
- limit;
- commission;
- time of payment.
You can perform no more than 5 operations per day. In addition, the minimum amount for making a payment is 1,700 rubles, and the maximum is 15,000. A commission of 4% of the payment is charged on any transferred amount. And what is most important for subscribers is the transfer period, which can reach five business days.
Transfer limit
According to Russian legislation, in order to control the movement of financial funds, certain restrictions are established for users of payment systems that have not undergone proper identification. This was done to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
The following limits are available to MTS subscribers:
- You are allowed to make a maximum of five transfers per day from your phone.
- The maximum volume of daily transfers is 40,000 rubles.
- The monthly limit is slightly higher - 75,000 rubles.
If you are not a terrorist, this is quite enough: such limits are more than enough for an ordinary person who does not run a business that requires accepting payments to the SIM card balance. Moreover, the transfer is not particularly good for businessmen: volumes above those mentioned are better sent by other methods at low costs.
Transfer money from MTS to VTB card
All of the above methods are relevant for subscribers of this mobile operator. Even if you need to transfer money from MTS to a VTB card, you can do this through the company’s official website, also paying a commission fee. All you need to hold such an event is a device with Internet access and a mobile phone.
In this case, there is no difference between which bank the card belongs to. The main thing here is the presence of the Visa or MasterCard payment system. If your card is not one of them, these options will not be available.
The telecommunications company MTS, like most competitors working in the same direction, provides its customers with the opportunity not only to top up their account, but also to withdraw money from it to a card. There are many ways to do this, each of which is convenient in its own way. Thanks to this system, MTS network subscribers have the opportunity to use their own mobile account as another means of payment.

Translation methods
The transfer methods are chosen by the subscriber himself. Depending on the gadget at hand, as well as free time, you can use any convenient method.
From MTS account via phone via SMS 900
The first method is to transfer the amount by typing a special message. Short number 900 is the main service number of Sberbank, with which you can perform various operations with money and with the account as a whole.
So, to send money, you will need to enter a message in the following format:
«79ХХХХХХХХХ 0000 399».
In this format:
- “ 79ХХХХХХХХХ ” is the phone number of the subscriber from whose account the money will be debited;
- «0000"—the last four digits of the recipient's bank card;
- «399» — transfer amount in rubles.
This method is the fastest and does not require anything from the user other than a phone. In this case, the commission will be calculated according to the same rules as when transferring through the personal account of a mobile operator.
Before making a transfer, make sure that there are at least 10 rubles left on your balance. Otherwise, the system will not allow the transaction to be completed.
Using USSD command
You can also send money from your phone using the short USSD command. It is dialed like a regular phone number, using numbers and the symbols * and #.
To conduct a transaction, dial:
- “*611*ХХХХХХХХХХХХХХХ*999#”
- Press the call button.
In this combination of numbers, the code “ 611 ” is a service command. Next comes the card number and, after an asterisk, the transfer amount in rubles .
Using short USSD commands, a subscriber can not only send a transfer to a Sberbank card, but also top up his mobile phone account.
The peculiarity of these two methods is:
- No internet connection required.
- You can perform actions from any phone (not necessarily a smartphone), even from a regular push-button phone.
Through your personal account on the MTS website
Each MTS client can register his own personal account, where he can track communication expenses, as well as perform a number of transactions on the account. He also has the opportunity to transfer money from his account to a plastic card.
To perform this operation, follow these steps:
- Type the address https://lk.mts.ru/ in your browser and log in using your username and password. In this case, the login is the subscriber's phone number. If the user does not have a personal account, one must be created. When filling out your profile, keep your phone handy, as you will receive SMS messages with short confirmation codes.
When creating a password, the site will ask the user to use Latin letters. It is important to remember that the password must contain one capital letter. This requirement is often forgotten when entering your personal account again.
- Once in your personal account, select the “payment management” tab. It has an “easy payment” item, go into it.
- In the tab that opens, find the “Transfers and Payments” item.
- Select the “To card” section.
- Indicate the card number, transfer amount and phone number from whose account the funds will be debited.
Using the service on the MTS Money website
In fact, this service is a replacement for the “easy payment” function on the official website. You can access it both through your personal account and through the website https://payment.mts.ru/.
To make a transfer you will need:
- Log in to your personal account using your phone number as your login. Typically, the MTS system creates the same login and password for your personal account and the MTS Money service, so the requirements for registering a subscriber profile are the same as when entering a regular personal account on the official website.
- In the window that opens, find the “Transfer money” field and select the icon with a plastic card and the inscription “to card”.
- On the page, fill out the form in which you indicate the Sberbank card number, the amount of the transfer amount, and the source of the debit.
- Confirm the operation via a short code from SMS.
In fact, the MTS Money service is much broader. It allows you to create your own virtual wallet, as well as attach cards and subscriber accounts.
From MTS phone via SMS 6111
MTS has a service number 6111, which was created for making transfers.
To send money to a Sberbank cardholder, dial the following SMS on your phone:
"card 1234567890123456 XXX."
In this code, after the word “ card ” there is a plastic card number , and “ XXX ” is the top-up amount in rubles.
Through the MTS Money mobile application
Another convenient way is to install the MTS Money application on your smartphone. It allows you not only to transfer money, but also to make contactless payments.
To make a transaction, log into the application from your smartphone. To access the program, enter your username and password. The system will also ask you to create a short four-digit PIN code. You will need it for subsequent quick login to the application.
Algorithm for working in the program for making a transfer to a Sberbank card:
- In the program that opens, select “Transfers to cards.”
- In the new window, go to the “To card” tab. It opens by default.
- In the blank fields, enter the recipient's card number, the transfer amount, and the source of the debit (“debit from”).
- Click the "translate" button.
In the mobile application, you can also add a comment that will be sent to the Sberbank card holder.
Through the “Easy Payment” service
It is this mobile application that was mentioned earlier. It provides significant assistance to MTS network subscribers in various areas of activity, including transfers to cards. Necessary:
- Download and install the application. To do this, you should indicate your phone number on the company’s website and request a download link.
- Log in to the “Easy Payment” service.
- Click on the “Money transfer” item.
- Select “Transfers from account to card”.
- Click the “Transfer” button.
- Enter the phone number and the amount of the future transfer.
- Enter the details of the card to which the money will be sent.
- Confirm the operation using the code sent via SMS message.
- Confirm the payment again. This must be done by sending any SMS message (with any text) to the same number.
After this, the funds will be sent and credited to the card. As mentioned above, this may happen instantly or you may need to wait up to 5 days.
Transfer via Sberbank number 900
The simplest thing is the familiar number 9-00 from the “green” bank. Maybe you have already used it to top up your mobile phone from this bank. But you can also perform the opposite operation, send money from your cell phone account to a credit card. To do this we use the following command form:
Transfer 7910863XXXX 5275 350
Explanation:
- 7910863XXXX - phone number from which money will be debited;
- 5275 — last 4 digits of the card number to be replenished;
- 350 - payment amount.
Important : you cannot go “to zero” on your cell phone balance. You must leave at least 50 rubles (including the commission you will pay).
Transfer from MTS to VTB card
A regular transfer to a VTB card, as in the case of Sberbank, is carried out in a standard way (one of those presented above). But it's a different story when you need to pay off credit card debt. In such a situation, you need to do the following:
- On the MTS website, go to the “Payment for goods and services” section.
- Select the item “Loan repayment”.
- Find VTB Bank in the list provided.
- Enter the account and agreement number, BIC, client's full name.
- Specify the payment amount.
- Select a payment option (from an MTS account or another card).
- Confirm this operation.
To card via SMS
Withdraw funds from your MTS account in one message.
How to withdraw via SMS:
- Start a new chat.
- Enter the text of the command message: card_card_number_amount. Instead of underscores, insert spaces, instead of “amount”, insert the payment amount in numbers. Example: card 123412341234 100.
- Send this text to number 6111.
- You will receive an SMS asking you to confirm the transfer. To do this, reply with any character other than 0. 0 is intended to refuse the operation.
- If a warning appears on your device about a possible withdrawal of money, agree. Without it, the SMS confirmation will not go through.
If you are transferring funds to a Sberbank card, use number 900:
- Start a new chat.
- Enter the text: phone_4last digits of the card_transfer amount. Example: 79158903007 9756 100.
- Send to number 900.
- Confirm the transfer.
To withdraw money by calling 900, connect your mobile bank - at a bank branch or at any ATM.
The limits and restrictions of this method are similar to the previous ones.
other methods
An alternative transfer option, if for some reason more standard methods are not suitable or do not work: withdraw the money first in cash or to an electronic wallet, and then put it on the card. In the first case, you can use the money transfer services Unistream, CONTACT, Blizko or Russian Post. All of them are located in the same “Money transfer” menu, where the “Transfers to card” section is located, but in the “Cash transfer” item.
Having chosen the appropriate system, the client must create a transfer for himself (or any other person), receive it and put it on the card of the desired bank in the way that this financial institution offers.
The second option is also possible through the MTS website. In the “Electronic money” section you need to find a suitable wallet (if it doesn’t exist yet, you will first need to create it). All that remains is to withdraw the money to your wallet and from there transfer it to the card of the desired bank.
Which Sberbank cards can be topped up from an MTS number?
The most important point is that you can top up not all Sberbank cards from your MTS phone, but only some of them. This does not apply to regular Visa and MasterCard, but problems may arise with Maestro. Usually these are preferential cards for students, children, pensioners, or simply free, and there is no way to top up your account from a mobile phone. Most often, the number of such a credit card consists of 18 digits, but with standard Maestro with 16 digits in the number there will be no problem.
By the way, you can also transfer money from your phone balance not only to Sberbank, but also to plastic cards of any of our other Russian banks - the methods described below are also suitable for them.
From MTS number to Maestro Sberbank card
What to do if you still need to top up Maestro, but nothing worked out? Some say that there are no options, since it is impossible to top up plastic cards with 18 digits. But a resourceful mind will always find a solution. Here you will come to the aid of a “gasket” in the form of another Sber card or some other bank. In this case, you first transfer money to it, and then top up Maestro from it using the “Card-to-Card” service.
The main thing here is to choose a card that has no or low commission for replenishing others. I can recommend Tinkoff Bank - there you can instantly transfer up to 20,000 rubles per month to credit cards of any of our banks.
Limits and commission
Like any other system, MTS has its own limitations and fees for services provided:
- The minimum transfer size is 50 rubles.
- Maximum per day – 15 thousand rubles.
- Maximum per month – 40 thousand rubles.
- There cannot be less than 10 rubles left on the account.
- The account must have an amount sufficient for the transfer + commission + balance of 10 rubles.
- The commission for transferring funds is 4.3%, but cannot be less than 60 rubles. Thus, it is more profitable to send a large amount once than to send small payments several times.
Example: you need to transfer 5,000 rubles to the card. The account must have the amount of 5000+4.3% (215 rubles)+10 rubles=5225 rubles, otherwise the payment will not go through. The client will be able to make such transfers up to 3 times a day until the amount of 15 thousand is exhausted. The next day you can repeat the procedure and do this until the maximum monthly limit of 40 is reached.
Transfer restrictions
Sberbank sets the limits as follows: only full-fledged cards issued by MasterCard and VISA “payments” are replenished using this method. For various simplified versions a la “pensioner’s social card”, transfer is not possible.
MTS sets the limit for the minimum and maximum payment amounts from a SIM card. Sending money should be made in the amount of 50 rubles. or more, and the upper payment limit is 15 thousand. An additional commission is charged: for payments exceeding RUB 1,400. — 4.3%, for smaller transfers — a flat rate of 60 rubles.
