Essentially, voicemail is like a personal secretary. The system performs the task of an answering machine - it will voice all received voice messages if:
- the device was turned off;
- the telephone was out of communication range;
- the person was talking with another interlocutor (the device is busy).
At the moment, the service is represented by the “Who called +” option. It combines voice mail and information about all missed calls, as well as notifying the other subscriber that his interlocutor has appeared on the network (the phone has become available for a call).
The cost of Megafon voicemail to phone number 0525 is 1 ruble 20 kopecks per day. The fee is debited daily in advance, regardless of whether the client uses mail or not. That is, to stop write-offs, you need to disable the option. Then on the same day money will no longer be debited from the account. For the connection itself, no funds are charged from the balance.

There are three situations in which Megafon Voicemail is triggered.

At this time, the subscriber making a phone call hears a greeting with an offer to leave a voice message.

By default, Megafon sets forwarding using code “62” - no answer when the phone is turned off or offline.
However, if desired, a person can activate other types of forwarding:
- Unconditional forwarding . Incoming calls are sent to Voicemail even if the phone is turned on. Code - "21" .
- No response . Forwarding is performed if the subscriber does not answer the call within 30 seconds. Code - "61" .
- Employment . The caller can leave a message if the called party is already on the phone (the number is busy). Code - "67" .
There are several ways to activate the service (set up forwarding to Voicemail). The easiest one is to dial the USSD command with the voicemail number **code*+79262000224# and press the call button. You can also use the USSD command *845# .
If a subscriber leaves a message, you will know about it from an SMS notification.
If desired, Voicemail can be configured so that messages are sent to another number or email.
Who uses it for free
At the moment, there are several categories of users who can use the service for free until July 1, 2021 (not inclusive). These are promotions within the following plans:
- "All inclusive";
- "Warm welcome";
- "Turn on."
The service is free of charge. In roaming (in any region except home) the fee is charged according to the tariff. To listen to SMS, also dial 0525.
After July 1, 2021, the client can decide for himself whether to continue using the option or not. By default, the provision of the service is considered extended. If the client wishes to disconnect, he can do so at any time on a general basis.

How to turn off the service?
If you decide to deactivate the option, remember that reconnection will not be possible. To disable the service, you can use the following methods:
- send the USSD command * 845 * 0 # and press the “Call” key;
- deactivate the function in your personal account by first going to the appropriate section;
- call the operator at 0500 and ask to turn off the service.
Connection and service parameters
There are several ways to connect (all of them are free). It is enough just to have a connected, working phone or Internet access:
- Send a free SMS in the form of combination 3006 to the number 000105 or call 222.
- You can activate it differently from your phone - command *105*602# and call key.
- And if a personal account has already been created on the official page of the operator, go there, select the section with voice mail and click “Connect”.
The latter method is especially convenient, since in your personal account you can find out about all the features of voicemail, fees for the service, and get other useful information.
It is also useful to know about the parameters of this option:
- all messages that are not read are stored for 48 hours - you need to have time to familiarize yourself with them within this period;
- if there was a call to a switched off device, then upon connection the user immediately receives an SMS with this number;
- If an SMS is read, it is stored for no more than 24 hours; if necessary, the user can delete it earlier.
Note! In any case, the service simultaneously stores information about 10 messages.
Moreover, the duration of each of them should not exceed 60 seconds. The maximum duration of one message is 180 seconds (3 minutes).
How to enable the service?
At the moment, it is not possible to activate the service, since it is included in the archived options by the mobile operator. However, a new one can be an excellent replacement for an answering machine; we’ll talk about it a little later.
Users who previously connected the service can continue to use it. The activated option continues to function without any changes. The subscriber, as before, can not only listen to voice messages, but also change the call forwarding itself.
To change the call forwarding type, you must send the following digital combination: * * forwarding password * phone number # and the “Call” key. Each type of redirection has its own password:
- 21 - unconditional;
- 61 - “No answer”;
- 67 — “Subscriber is busy”;
- 62 — “Subscriber unavailable.”
Changing the type of answering machine is provided free of charge.
Clearing voicemail Megafon
In some cases, you will need to clear all sms and completely abandon the service. Voicemail can be turned off quite simply (all methods are free):
- Dial an SMS with the numbers 30060 and send it to number 000105.
- Enter the command *105*3006#, press the call key, as well as *581*3# and “call”.
- An additional option is to go to your personal account on the operator’s official website, select the “Voicemail” section, click on the “Disconnect” button.
Each individual SMS can be deleted from the phone’s memory - to do this, use the internal menu using the corresponding buttons (on the sensor or keyboard).

- The second method is to use MegaFon’s special interactive menu. To call it, you need to enter the command *105# in the gadget and make a call. After this, a menu will open where, after selecting the desired item, the service is disabled. After voicemail is deactivated, a message with confirmation information is sent to your mobile phone.

The service provides subscribers with the opportunity to configure their answering machine:
- change the length of the waiting time after which the call will be redirected to an answering machine
- change the greeting that will be heard when forwarding

In technical terms, the operation of the “Who called” option is described quite simply. An SMS notification comes from a subscriber who was unable to reach you. The notification indicates the number of attempts and time of calls. If the subscriber left a voice message, the system will offer to listen to it through the combination 0525. By calling it, the system will play all the left messages one by one.
