Vodafone unlimited abroad - conditions for cheap calls

What was previously just a dream is now becoming a reality. Vodafone is one of the first to offer its customers the Vodafone Unlimited service abroad . These are indeed unlimited calls to family and friends during their absence. Such conditions are available to all subscribers, without exception, of both prepaid and contract forms of service.

Unlimited abroad

The cost is 35 UAH for 30 days + 3 UAH per day of using the service.

When ordering “Unlimited Abroad”, money for a month of using the service (35 UAH) is not charged. Payment occurs only three months after the first call is made. Further, money will be debited from your account automatically every 30 days at night (from 00:00 to 08:00), which will be notified to you via SMS notification (after 08:00).

If at the time of debiting the funds, the balance is empty or there is less than 35 UAH on it, calls abroad will be charged according to the standard conditions of your tariff plan.

Connection and control

The connection itself is not a complicated process. This is a simple USSD request *600*7#. A much more problematic area is entering numbers. But more on that later. Basic control is carried out by the following additional commands:

• *600*7*1# – status check;
• *600*7*0# – shutdown.

Funds in the amount of 35 hryvnia are written off exactly at the moment of connection, and then every 30 days for prepaid clients, and every 1st day of the new month for a contract. Therefore, it is worth knowing the code to disable the service, since otherwise you can expect an unplanned withdrawal of money.

The command to check the status will indicate whether the service is currently connected. Please note that each new connection is subject to payment. Therefore, you should not experiment with USSD commands.

Unlimited abroad for a quarter

Cost 199 UAH for 90 days.

“Unlimited abroad for a quarter” is an excellent solution for those whose relatives went abroad to work on a short-term basis. To activate the service, dial *600*199# and press the call handset. If the connection is successful, 199 UAH will be debited from your account, after which you will receive an SMS with information about the successful connection of the service.

Every next 90 days, funds will be debited from your account automatically.

Who can activate the service?

The service is not available at the following rates:

• Vodafone Device;
• Vodafone Family;
• Vodafone Express;
• Vodafone SuperNet Turbo and SuperNet Turbo 2019;
• SuperNet Start and SuperNet Pro/Pro+.

For subscribers of Vodafone SuperNet Start, Vodafone SuperNet Pro/Pro +, and Vodafone SuperNet Turbo tariff plans, other conditions apply: subscription fee 50 UAH/month, USSD command for connection *600*3# and USSD command for disconnection *600* thirty#.

Connecting foreign numbers for communication

It’s worth saying right away that the numbers can be changed as many times as you like, but each subsequent change costs 5 UAH. When connecting numbers for the first time, no money is charged.

To enter numbers, use the following code: *600*71*<country code><operator code><subscriber number># and call handset.

Example: *600*71*48221234567#

To delete a number, a similar construction will help, where instead of 71 you need to specify 72, for example like this: *600*72*48221234567#

Entering numbers

As already mentioned, the option allows you to enter three subscriber numbers for unlimited communication. Numbers are registered in the following format:

*600*71*state code – mobile network code – client number#, and call button.

Everything seems simple, but, unfortunately, not everyone understands it. Let's look at an example:

The main thing to remember is that if you count the digits of the country code, operator and number, the total should be 11. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the codes of the networks of operators in Russia and Poland in which the service operates:

• *600*73*2# – for the second;

Kyivstar

The basic tariff for international calls at Kyivstar starts from 20 UAH/min and depends on the country. In order for subscribers to save money, the operator offers to use. With it, the cost of a minute of conversation is reduced to 0.5-1.5 UAH/min (Russia Beeline - 0.5 UAH/min, other countries and operators - 0.8-1.5 UAH/min). The service can be activated for three countries. Activation of one country - 5 UAH, connection fee - 2 UAH, per minute billing.

Let's imagine that the subscriber makes 10 calls for 10 ten minutes. If he calls, for example, only to subscribers of the Russian Beeline, then the calls will cost 75 hryvnia (100 minutes for 0.5 UAH + connection and service activation fee for one country). If you need to call subscribers of other operators in Russia (50 minutes at 1.5 UAH/min), and also talk to Poland (50 minutes at 0.8 UAH/min), then you will have to pay 145 hryvnia.

Kyivstar promises to launch from December 19 (0.5 UAH/min for Italy, Poland and Russia without connection fees), but detailed conditions have not yet been described on the operator’s website.

1. Enter *607# on your mobile device and make a call.
2. Install the My Vodafone mobile application or register in your personal account.
3. Call the support service at 111, following the instructions to submit a connection request.

The connection is made within 15 minutes, about which the client receives a text notification. You can view the status yourself by requesting *607*1#. If the option is no longer needed, it can be disabled using the command *607*0# or through “My Vodafone”.
