- The function is valid throughout Russia and works when traveling around the country. When located within the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the download speed is limited to 128 kilobits per second. As soon as you exceed the standard limit, the operator permanently blocks access to the network space.
- As a gift, MTS provides unlimited traffic at night from 00.00 to 07.00; mobile Internet during this interval is not subject to tariffs and is free. Most often, the Mayak tariff is connected to GPS navigators and DVRs. The device can automatically send all recorded videos to your computer or to cloud storage.
In addition, the tariff can be used for automated surveillance cameras, GSM alarm systems and the like. Cheaper systems send a message to the owner of the device, while expensive and complex ones can transmit video images and send photos.
For devices of this type, it is recommended to set an increased traffic volume.
Therefore, select options for the Internet depending on the functionality of your device. For a GPS navigator, there is no need for 3 GB of traffic, which will be senselessly lost.

- Remote control will not work in international roaming.
- Communication and data transfer when traveling around the country is calculated according to the national roaming network.
- Voice calls take place outside of GSM technology, so connection times are significantly longer.
Our opinion: “Mayak” cannot be regarded as a regular package of cellular communication services. It provides favorable conditions specifically for data transfer: Internet, MMS, SMS. Calls do not have to be considered: standard rates apply here without the possibility of reducing rates. The tariff plan can only be used for its intended purpose, as an additional number.
