The “Thank you” bonus program from Sberbank is one of the most popular in the banking industry. It started in 2011. The essence of the program is that for every purchase using a Sberbank card you receive a certain number of bonuses into your account. You can then use them to pay for other purchases. Not everywhere and not entirely, but there are also very profitable offers.
The program has two main goals:
1 Increasing customer loyalty. If a user of the bank’s services (and according to Sber itself, there are already more than 106 million people) has the opportunity to return part of what they spent, this already improves his mood and encourages further cooperation.
2 Expansion of business related to bank cards. You can receive Thank You bonuses only when making purchases with a card.
How much can you save?
If you consider what points are awarded for Tinkoff Platinum, you won’t be able to accumulate very many bonuses this way. Only 1% of the purchase “drips” into the bonus account. That is, if you spend 30,000 from your credit limit per month on purchases, the bank will give you only 300 rubles as a reward. Not so much.
More significant amounts can be obtained for purchases from partners of the Bravo bonus program. Their promotional offers are not publicly available; the client sees them only in the Tinkoff Bank application or personal account. They are constantly changing, and so are the amounts of bonus accruals.

Who can participate in the “Thank You” program
I was offered to become a member as soon as I received my first Sberbank plastic card and registered with Sberbank online. First, they verbally announced this opportunity at the bank branch, then sent an SMS, and then an email.
The rules of the bonus program indicate that all Sber card holders can participate in it: debit, credit and salary. The only condition is that you need to express your desire, that is, register. Here, the registration procedure for the bonus program is even simpler.
- We insert the card into the ATM receiver or Sberbank terminal.
- Enter your PIN code.
- In the menu that opens, select “Bonus program” or “Thank you from Sberbank” (the device interface is constantly changing).
- A window opens asking you to enter a mobile phone number, to which you should receive an SMS with a password. Enter 10 digits (code +7 is already set by default).
- We are waiting for the password to contact the contact center. The program began to operate.

In this case, we only need a phone, we don’t even need the Internet, if you read the program rules earlier.
- Send an SMS with the text “Thank you xxxx” (xxxx is the last four digits of your card number; a space is required before them) to number 900.

Reviews about the bonus program
Based on existing reviews, Tinkoff Bank clients mostly approve of the program. Problems arise in two cases:
- Points are being credited incorrectly.
In some cases, purchases are mistakenly classified as not earning points. The program is still being improved, so errors like this are understandable. Bank employees are aware of the problem, so they invite anyone who has it to contact the support service and provide a receipt for the purchase. After this, points will be credited in the required amount. - Nowhere to spend it.
Not all card users need to travel somewhere by train or regularly visit cafes/bars/restaurants. At the moment, it is not possible to solve the problem, however, the bank is actively working to expand the partners of its bonus program. As a result, for now you can simply accumulate points and wait for new opportunities to spend them.
What are points awarded for and what are they equal to?
If in the first years of the “Thank you from Sberbank” program, people were lured into it with increased bonuses at the initial stage (1.5% in the first three months), but now everything is simple and strict: any purchase brings 0.5% of Sberbank points. If you buy 1000 rubles in a supermarket, you will receive 5 points on your bonus account. One point is equal to one ruble.
Please note: the accrual of points has nothing to do with whether a particular retail outlet participates in the “Thank you from Sberbank” program or not. Bonuses are awarded to you by the bank.
Points are calculated for every 100 rubles spent on the card. If you spent an amount that is not a multiple of 100 rubles, the number of bonuses is rounded down. Let's say you bought a product for 5330 rubles. 0.5% of this amount is 26 rubles 65 kopecks. In reality, you get 26 bonuses.
Most inexpensive or no-cost cards have a limit on the maximum number of points awarded each month. If you have Visa or MasterCard Momentum, Visa Electron or MasterCard Maestro, the most you can count on is 20,000 Thank you bonuses per month. Don’t worry, this is a good amount; to get them you need to spend 4 million rubles.
However, in some cases you can spend less. Sberbank's partner organizations (among them representatives of almost all segments of trade in goods and services) often offer increased bonuses for purchases - up to 50%. Their interest is also in increasing customer loyalty. For example, in the Vologda region there is a regional network of gas stations that returns thank you bonuses to car owners from 3% to 10% of the cost of purchased fuel. Naturally, you want to stop by such a gas station more often.

How to become a member of the Bravo program?
Almost any owner of a Tinkoff Bank credit (but not debit) card is automatically a participant in the Bravo program. An exception is made only for the following types of cards:
- ALL Airlines.
In this case, there is also a special bonus program, but instead of points, miles are awarded, which can later be used to pay for flights. - Classmates.
Users of cards of this type receive their own version of points in the form of currency for the social network of the same name in the amount of 1 OK per 100 rubles spent on purchases.
It should be taken into account that owners of debit cards also participate in the program, but instead of points they receive direct cashback in the form of real money, which is somewhat more convenient, because they can be spent much easier.
Why points are not awarded Thank you
Despite the fact that the Thank You program from Sberbank is very loyal to participants, there are some restrictions on the accrual of bonuses. Most of them are needed to avoid abuse.
So, you will not receive a “Thank you” in the following cases:
- for withdrawing cash from the card (this is logical: the money remained with us, we did not buy anything, the bank simply has nothing to reward us for);
- when transferring money from card to card (for yourself or other people - it doesn’t matter). Here, too, there is no fact of purchase. Therefore, for example, you will not receive bonuses for a purchase in an unregistered online store (by simply transferring money to an individual on a card);
- when converting currency. This is a banking service, not a purchase, the money again remains with you, albeit in a slightly different form;
- when paying for services through Sberbank online;
- when paying for the services of Internet providers and mobile operators;
- when transferring money to electronic wallets (your own or someone else’s – it doesn’t matter);
- when purchasing securities and precious metals;
- when purchasing goods or services prohibited by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
There is one more limitation: points are awarded only for five purchases per day. The sixth and subsequent expense transactions will not earn points.
How to receive Russian Railways Bonus program points for travel?
To join the program, you need to go through the registration procedure on the official website www.rzd-bonus.ru, following the step-by-step instructions available in the Help menu in the Video instructions tab.
Only registered passengers have the opportunity to accumulate Russian Railways Bonus points and write them off in the future.
When joining the program, the user opens a personal account in his personal account (is assigned an identification number), to which 500 points are automatically awarded as a welcome.
After entering the participant’s personal data into the database and activating his profile, you can begin accumulating Russian Railways points. The main conditions for accumulating bonuses in automatic mode are as follows.
- Carriers participating in the program are divisions of Russian Railways - JSC FPK (cars and long-distance trains owned by the company) and DOSS (trains Sapsan and Allegro).

How are bonus points different from qualifying points?
The bonus points that a program participant receives can be of two types:
- premiums , which are used to receive discounts within the program;
- qualifications , which are used to increase the level of the participant.
Qualifying points can only be earned for completed trips.
If 35,000 qualifying points are accumulated on a personal account or 50 trips are registered, at least in compartment cars, during the year, then the participant receives elite (gold) status . This membership level upgrade provides additional bonuses and privileges compared to the basic level, which is assigned immediately upon registration.

How to count a past trip in your personal account of the Russian Railways bonus program?
If the passenger did not indicate a personal Russian Railways bonus number when purchasing travel documents, then he has the opportunity to log into his personal account on the official website and accrue Russian Railways bonus points after the trip.
To do this, you need to enter the data of the completed trip in the appropriate form in the Count trip menu:
- Full name of the registered passenger;
- names of points of departure and arrival with their codes;
- travel start date;
- train number and ticket number;

A passenger can restore unaccounted points if the trips were made:

“Spasibo” is a loyalty program that allows customers to collect bonus points awarded for each purchase paid with a bank card and use them to pay for other goods and services, saving their personal budget.

Features of writing off bonuses
The main feature is that points can only be spent when paying for certain purchases or services at partner companies of Tinkoff Bank. This greatly limits the possibilities of bank clients, however, the system is gradually developing and, quite possibly, every year there will be more and more opportunities to spend points. Separately, it should be noted that the client has a full 90 days from the date of payment to take advantage of the compensation. And even after this point, the points do not expire; they can simply be used to compensate for other payments.
What can you spend your points on?
At this time, points can only be redeemed for the following purchases:
- Payment for train tickets.
- Expenses for paying for food in a restaurant, bar or fast food.
The list is not very voluminous, but even if the client does not need to travel somewhere by train, points can always be spent on having a great family vacation in some cafe.

As mentioned above, one way to spend points is by purchasing train tickets. However, the system here is exactly the same as described above. That is, the purchase of a ticket is made at your own expense and only then, when the payment goes through, the amount spent on paying for the tickets can be compensated with points. Direct payment for tickets using points is not possible.

The instructions are largely identical to those above. The only thing that can be added is that you only need to look for those payments whose MCC contains the number 4112. This makes it somewhat easier to navigate the list of expenses. Everything else is exactly the same as before.
How to spend points Thank you
In a Sberbank partner store, before making a purchase, check with the cashier, salesperson or consultant whether there is a bonus program. If the answer is yes, immediately state that you plan to pay part of the purchase price with points. Thank you. Then insert the card into the terminal or touch the screen with it. The cashier will tell you the amount of bonuses available in your account and tell you how many of them can be spent on this purchase. You choose how much you want to use, the points are deducted from your account, and the store gives you a discount for that amount.
In an online store participating in the program, the procedure is as follows:

You can find out how many bonuses are on your Russian Railways card on the official website in the History of points accrual/write-off menu.
Checking the balance of bonuses, both premium and qualifying, is always available on the right side of the personal account page.

Thank you points are tied to a bonus account that is opened for the card user. They cannot be used while your card is being reissued. As soon as you receive it at your bank branch, access to your bonus account will be restored.
Are points awarded for card purchases abroad? I use a Sberbank Visa Classic card on vacation in Turkey and convert rubles into liras through a Turkish bank.
Thank you bonuses are not awarded for currency conversion operations. But for any purchase abroad, you will receive points from the bank in the same amount as inside Russia - 0.5% for each transaction on the card (in rubles at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, if the purchase was made in foreign currency).
The essence of the Multibonus program
Bonus programs in all banks are structured similarly: for spending on cards, customers accumulate points that can be exchanged for goods, services or real money. The peculiarity of VTB is the variability of remuneration. Bank clients decide for themselves what to spend their bonuses on. There are six options to choose from:
- Borrower. For using the card, the bank gives a discount on a credit product - a mortgage, credit card or consumer loan.
