The Internet project “Be Mobile” presents an overview of tariffs for mobile communication services for residents of the Sverdlovsk region. We have selected proposals from Ural operators that were current as of mid-May 2015. First of all, we were interested in minimum prices and maximum number of services.
The editors of the Internet project “Be Mobile” decided to conduct a comparative review of mobile communication tariffs and find out which offers are currently the most profitable on the market. It seems that this information will be a reason for all subscribers, without exception, to take a more responsible approach to choosing a tariff and operator.
As a basis, we took information from the official websites of cellular companies as of May 20, 2015. Our review included proposals from five telecom operators: Beeline, MegaFon, MOTIV, MTS and Rostelecom, which is undergoing a restructuring procedure and transformation into Tele2. For convenience, the tariffs were divided into four main groups: with cheap on-net calls, with cheap calls to numbers of any operators, with a package of prepaid services, as well as Internet tariffs.
Tariffs with cheap calls within the network
The first group of tariffs is most suitable for family communication. These suggestions are worth recommending to children and the elderly. They call their parents or children more often. In addition, the duration of such conversations, according to operator statistics, is on average 1-3 minutes, but can reach 30 minutes. On the other hand, such subscribers rarely call other people. And they don’t make calls every day. Hence the savings.

As you can see, the most advantageous of the tariffs without a subscription fee in terms of price are the Rostelecom tariffs (“Call Yours”): the subscriber pays only 50 kopecks for the duration of a telephone conversation within the network, regardless of its duration. The tariffs of MTS (SuperMTS) and MegaFon (Go to Zero) are quite attractive: within the network, 20 minutes are provided daily for free. If this limit is exceeded, the user will have to pay 70 kopecks for each minute. Calls to other operators from all three operators are paid significantly more – from 1.2 to 1.75 rubles/min. Don’t forget about additional paid services with a subscription fee (with a free promotional period of 7 days). Moreover, the subscriber must disable some of them independently after the promotional period. Otherwise, the subscription fee will deduct decent money from the account every day. So, on the MTS tariff for “GOOD'OK” and “You have been called” the subscriber will additionally pay from 64.9 rubles/month, on the MegaFon tariff – 36 rubles/month. behind .
A pleasant exception are the “Everything” and “Zero Doubts” tariffs from Beeline. On Vseshechka, the operator does not hide the presence of a subscription fee; 2.5 rubles are debited daily. But for this money, the subscriber receives an unlimited amount of traffic within the network, as well as 50 minutes per month for calls to the networks of other local operators. Great for frequent “family” conversations of any length. Plus - the cost of SMS is cheaper than that of competitors - 1 rub./piece. If the subscriber is not ready to pay 2.5 rubles/day, and does not yet know the duration and frequency of upcoming on-net calls, “Zero doubts” is more suitable. The tariff assumes a simple price both per minute for other operators and for the fact of a call within the network (only the 1st minute of the call is paid) - 1 ruble. At the same time, the additional services included in the tariff include “I have contact” without a subscription fee. MOTIV has set up a tariff for the fact of calling within the network, but here the first minute costs 1.5 rubles. True, there are also advantages: there are no extra charges when calling to the Kurgan region, as well as Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Tariffs with a single price for all destinations
The second group of tariffs is suitable for people who call subscribers of a variety of operators, including landline phones, and some of them use mobile Internet from their smartphone. These are, as a rule, young people and middle-aged people, whose total communication expenses do not exceed 300 rubles per month.

The “Vseshechka” tariff looks especially interesting here, with free unlimited calls to Beeline numbers in the Sverdlovsk region, as well as 50 free minutes to other operators in the region. A subscription fee of 2.5 rubles per day (75 rubles per month) for unlimited use of Beeline will pay for itself quickly. It should also be noted that there are very attractive prices for a number of international destinations (including the CIS, Vietnam, China) from 0.8 rubles/min.
Rostelecom provides the opportunity to make free calls to the numbers of all operators in the Sverdlovsk region within one call, paying the cost of 1 minute - 1.3 rubles. However, for very short calls (up to 1 minute) this offer is not so advantageous compared to the tariffs of other operators. And if the duration of local calls exceeds 30 minutes per day, every minute is paid.
As for the mobile Internet, Rostelecom’s offer turned out to be the most attractive in terms of price, if, of course, you are satisfied with the daily traffic limit of 75 MB, which can be exceeded literally in a couple of minutes. To lift restrictions, you will have to pay extra, and this puts an end to savings. As a result, a cheap option turns into an expensive one. MTS has a similar limitation. MegaFon and MOTIV have a slightly larger daily package - 100 MB in the Sverdlovsk region.
The most comfortable one in terms of the write-off principle and the volume provided was Beeline’s offer. Although it costs 7 rubles/day, it has no daily volume restrictions and allows you to use 1.5 GB of traffic per month without speed restrictions not only in the Sverdlovsk region, but also in the Urals (which is especially important for residents during summer holidays and weekend trips to lake camp sites in neighboring regions).
