When setting prices and tariffs, marketers take into account a number of factors to ensure that communication services within the region are accessible to the population living there and competitive. At the same time, low intraregional rates are usually compensated by more substantial charges for calls made to other regions of the country. If a subscriber travels outside of his home region for some time, the intra-Russian roaming mode with its own pricing policy is activated.
From the point of view of an ordinary subscriber, the “home region” is considered to be the one in which his SIM card was purchased and the intraregional tariff connected to it is valid.
Travel within the Russian Federation
“Turn on” tariffs allow MegaFon subscribers to travel around the country, communicating at home with subscribers within the network. The tariff provides a certain number of minutes, after spending which you can communicate without additional payment only with subscribers who have a MegaFon number connected. Which region of the country the subscriber visits also matters. Due to the remoteness of some regions of the country, special conditions apply. These regions include:
- Republic of Crimea;
- Sevastopol;
- Taimyr MR;
- Chukotka Autonomous Okrug;
- Norilsk.
What is a home region in MTS?
The concept of a home region operates in MTS as follows: this is the region in which you bought your MTS SIM card and use an intraregional favorable tariff. At the same time, you can call other regions without any additional settings.
To make calls to other regions more affordable, you can add an option to your tariff called “Profitable intercity” , which will give you the opportunity to call throughout Russia for only 3 rubles per minute with a monthly fee of 40 rubles per month. If your tariff includes a package of prepaid calls to other regions, the option will begin to operate only after the package minutes have been used up. “Favorable intercity” is connected as follows:
- in “Personal Account” ;
- using the command *111*903# from your phone;
- by sending an SMS to the short number 111 903 is written in the text field - to connect to the “Favorable intercity” , 9030 - to disable the option.
New tariff “My Smart”: configure the tariff as convenient for you
Then you can customize the tariff “for yourself”, choosing from the proposed options the packages of the size you need.
The subscription fee for a tariff with a set of packages of 15 GB, 400 minutes and 400 SMS will be 550 rubles per month. When you change the package sizes, the tariff fee also changes depending on the packages you choose.
If you decide to reduce your Internet package, its volume will be changed immediately.
If you decide to reduce the packages of minutes and SMS, the volume of minutes and SMS will only be changed from the next billing period. The default tariff provides for an advance payment method. The cost of switching to the tariff is 0 rub. When switching, you will be charged the first month's rate.
What is Beeline's home region?
If you permanently live in one of the regions of Russia - for example, in the Moscow region - and bought a SIM card there, MO becomes Beeline’s home region for you. Within this region, according to your tariff, calls and SMS are cheaper than calls outside your home region. At the same time, you can make communication more accessible and profitable for yourself, for example, by choosing a tariff in which a large package of prepaid call minutes with other cities will be reserved.

Beeline in Crimea
Beeline for roaming in Russia offers an excellent My Country option. Connection is only 25 rubles. one-time fee, and all incoming, outgoing and SMS for 3 rubles. But this option does not apply to the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.
Beeline doesn’t offer anything interesting specifically for communications in Crimea. The best option is the All group tariffs.
