makes it possible to save money when communicating by phone with subscribers from neighboring countries and Asia, including China.

Access to the option is completely free on all tariffs, which means a one-time monthly subscription fee.

If the user decides to switch to another tariff, where payment is charged daily, he will be disconnected automatically.

The list of tariffs supporting the option includes:

• Tariffishche,
• X,
• My Smart,
• Ultra,
• Our Smart.

But the main condition for use is to be “at home,” that is, in the region where the SIM card was purchased and registered. There is also a list of options, simultaneously using which the service will not be valid. These include:

1. "MTS Countries". This option already makes it possible to reduce costs on calls made to Belarus, Turkmenistan, India, Uzbekistan and Armenia. Therefore, the mutual exclusion of these two additionally connected services is quite justified. You will have to make a choice which is more profitable.
2. "Profitable international calls from MTS." A monthly subscription fee for the connected service is charged here - 75 rubles. Plus, you pay for telephone communication with a subscriber in another country in the amount of 3 rubles per minute, depending on the region in which you are located and where you are calling.
3. "Favorite country". This option asks you to select your favorite country that you call most often. For example, you have a friend or relative living there. This will allow you to save a lot on calls.

If the MTS subscriber has added it as an additional option, then all of the above options are automatically disabled if they were previously available. At the same time, options numbered 1 and 2 have long since become archived. This means that once they are deleted, it will be impossible to return them, even if you contact MTS in person.

In addition to being mutually exclusive. This can exist on a number simultaneously with the “Favorite number” option, which includes an operator from Armenia or Ukraine. This combination of services allows the MTS user to communicate completely free of charge within the framework of an unlimited subscription fee. But there is a limit on the number of selected numbers, that is, a maximum of three selected subscribers.

To use this preferential service, the number must have international access installed. On the latest SIM cards, “Easy roaming” is automatically enabled, which equates to international access.

Other savings options

"Extended version . On the one hand, it is paid and does not give such big discounts (a minute of conversation with Ukraine, for example, costs 10 rubles). On the other hand, it reduces the cost of communication around the world and is suitable for any TP, including non-prepaid and corporate ones.

A very good replacement for “Profitable calls to other countries” in some cases is the archive one. If the subscriber managed to activate it before February 2015 and did not delete it, it continues to be valid in 2018 at modern tariffs (it is retained even if the TP is changed).

With the “Profitable calls to other countries” option, call minutes to selected destinations are cheaper. However, it disables all previously added “Favorite Countries” on the number. This does not always mean big savings.

Example. The subscriber uses “LS. Ukraine" (10 rubles/minute) and "LS. Poland" (6.9 rubles/minute). When activating “Benefit calls to other countries”, he will lose the discount on calls with Poland (“basic” price per minute is 49 rubles), but will communicate with Ukraine cheaper (2.5 rubles/minute). In this situation, most likely, changing options is not advisable.

The subscriber can optimally configure the number independently using the online service “Cost of services in roaming” on the MTS website. But the easiest way is to contact a call center operator on 0890. He will tell you which services will allow you to save as much as possible on calls abroad.

Advantages and disadvantages of the option

The advantages are obvious:

• Significant savings when communicating with subscribers from neighboring countries and countries included in Asia. Some other options do not provide such benefits;
• No monthly subscription fee. That is, using the option is absolutely free, which cannot be said about other similar additional functions of the operator;
• Free connection. There is no additional charge when you add a service to your tariff plan.

There are no particular shortcomings. Unless it is impossible for an option to exist simultaneously with several others that have already been listed above.

Description

The “Profitable calls to other countries” option allows you to significantly save on communication with subscribers:

• Armenia (MTS operator);
• Kazakhstan (K'Cell);
• Tajikistan (T'Cell);
• Uzbekistan;
• Vietnam;
• China;
• South Korea;
• Ukraine (MTS and Vodafon).

Moreover, the option itself is free. It is open for connection at modern and archival tariffs with a subscription fee:

• Smart (versions from February 2021 and subsequent);
• Smart Mini (from February 2021);
• Smart Nonstop (any modifications);
• "Smart Unlimited";
• "Smart +" (since February 2015);
• Smart Top (any version);
• "Ultra";
• X;
• “My Unlimited.”

When changing the tariff, the service will be disabled automatically. On “Smart Unlimited”, which operated from May 16, 2016. until March 27, 2017, benefits do not apply to communication with MTS and Vodafon subscribers in Armenia and Ukraine.

Call charging

How to activate the service

Thanks to the presence of a mobile application from MTS, it has become much more convenient to manage your tariffs and additional options. Also, if you do not want or are unable to use the application, the operation can be performed on the operator’s official website through the user’s personal account. Or you can connect any service in the old “old-fashioned” way - by sending a USSD request, where options for further actions will be highlighted.

In order to find out the exact price for an outgoing call to a particular country, use a special service on the official website mts.ru. In the “Calls to other countries” section, open the “Tariffs” tab. Next, in the field provided, you need to select the state to which you plan to call and indicate your tariff plan. After entering all the parameters, the system will automatically calculate the cost of calls and display the corresponding data on the screen. If you have forgotten which plan you are using, you can find out by calling *111*59#.

How to disable

Disconnection occurs in the same ways as connection: through your personal account on the operator’s website, through the My MTS application, using a USSD combination.

We perform all the same actions as when activating the option. We go to your personal account on the website or in the application and select “Services”. After which we go not to the “Additional” section, but to “Connected”. Where we select the option we need and disable it.

To deactivate the option via USSD command, also dial *111*965# and the call key. But in the menu that opens, select the second item “Disable”.

Subscription fee for the service

The cost of using this service depends on the type of tariff plan in force. For tariffs with a fixed subscription fee it is 190 rubles per month , and without a subscription fee - 250 rubles .

In order to activate the “Favorite number of Ukraine and Armenia” option, you need to perform several sequential steps:

1. From your smartphone keyboard, send the USSD combination *111*56*0#;
2. Enter three phone numbers for unlimited communication. To add each of them, you need to dial the combination *111*56*1*, and then the country telephone code and the subscriber number.
3. To check the added phone numbers, use the combination *111*56#.
4. If you need to remove some numbers and replace them with other options, you must use the command *111*56*2*, followed by the country code and number.

Roaming isn't so bad

Let's assume you arrived from Krasnoyarsk to Tver and made sure that your phone is connected to the MTS network. All incoming calls on your journey are free. You pay for calls to Tver numbers according to your home Krasnoyarsk tariff. In other words, calls to Tver numbers will cost the same as calls within the Krasnoyarsk Territory when you are at home. If you have a tariff that includes a package of minutes, then the minutes from this package will be debited.

For example, users of the “Super MTS” tariff, just like at home, will be able to call local Tver MTS numbers for free, and to the numbers of other operators in the region - at the usual home price. Calls from Tver to Krasnoyarsk, Moscow and any other Russian city outside the Tver region will cost only 5.5 rubles per minute. Calls to MTS support by phone are free. What to do if you run out of money on your phone: Pay with a bank card on the website oplata.mts.ru (Internet traffic is free) or call the contact center +74957660166 for free. Do you like to write SMS while traveling? Messages to numbers in your region of residence cost 1.95 rubles, and to all other numbers in Russia - 2.95 rubles. If you have a package tariff, say, one from the Smart line, then for short trips the option “Home package Russia with a daily fee of 10 rubles, which is charged only if you, being outside your home region and connected to the MTS network, call intercity.

The fee for a similar option “Home package Russia+” is 100 rubles - this is an option for long trips. Both options make it possible to make long-distance calls using packages of minutes included in the tariff. By the way, the option also works in your home region.

Mobile Internet

Active users of the World Wide Web will not be able to feel comfortable without the Internet. Therefore, you need to start selecting a suitable option for use in China.

Under standard conditions, the cost of 40 KB will be 30 rubles. Naturally, this is extremely unprofitable for subscribers. But there is an alternative solution - the BIT service abroad.

• 100 MB per day is issued.
• The limit is updated every day.
• In case of exhaustion, the speed is reduced to 128 Kbps.

How to call China
