Vodafone (MTS) Market: how to connect, use and disable the service

In the new tariff plans of the mobile operator Vodafone, such a service as the Internet is provided on fundamentally different conditions. If for some users it is unlimited, then for others it is allocated free of charge in the form of a package of a certain number of megabytes per day. And when the subscriber uses this volume, another portion is automatically connected, but you will have to pay for it.

This option allows subscribers to manage services. For selective deletion:

  • Dial the request on your phone: *152*22#.
  • Send number 2 - “My current subscriptions.”

  • A list will open on the screen.

If there are no paid services on the SIM card, the message “You have no subscriptions” will appear in response.

To completely disable:

  • We dial *152*22# from the phone.
  • Enter the number “3”, which corresponds to the “Unsubscribe from everyone” command.

If some connections cannot be deactivated through this service, then you need to use your personal account.

The same actions with subscriptions can be performed on the “My Content” website from MTS.

So is there a newsletter?

A number of social media users and Vodafone subscribers surveyed say they did not receive SMS, but some are luckier. The author and editor of the site, Sergei Parfenty () saw an SMS that the monthly payment would be debited from his account before the Vodafone system tried to activate the service. Who can use it?


In order for traffic not to be taken into account according to the tariff plan, the following conditions must be met:

  • The smartphone must run on the iOS or Android operating system - Windows 10 Mobile/Windows Phone, other operating systems are not supported (unlimited services can only be used on them via an Internet browser);
  • installed social networking and instant messenger applications must be official - in third-party applications, traffic is taken into account due to technical limitations;
  • one of the tariff plans with a monthly subscription fee must be connected (for example, supernet pro or supernet unlimited).

Something went wrong

Several social media users complained that they did not receive an SMS notification that their monthly payment had been debited. When the site contacted the company to understand why the user might not have received the SMS, a representative from the operator said that the device's memory may have been full, and therefore the message did not reach the recipient. Olga, a call center employee, expressed another version - the SMS may not arrive if the user has an active Internet session for a long time, “for example, two hours.”

We talked to subscribers who did not receive notifications.

A screenshot from Dmitry Kiyashko () confirms that on January 31, an amount of 90 UAH was debited from the account, but in a personal conversation he emphasized that he did not receive any warnings about the withdrawal of the monthly payment, only a notification about connection on the day of payment. It's good that there was enough money in the account.

Alexander Ivanyk, the national coach and coordinator of Huawei, also found himself in a similar mess, but he was less fortunate.

He told in that there was no notification about tomorrow's payment, only information that there was not enough money to activate the monthly package. Subsequent trust in the operator (after reading all the tariff conditions on the site) resulted in the fact that for several days he was charged daily services, although he topped up the account with an amount sufficient for a monthly payment, but did it during the day, until “00:00 and a little later” .

As a result, without indicating the details of the accrual of daily and monthly services on the website or the starter package, without writing that by printing the starter package or installing a SIM card, I automatically agree to the hidden conditions (but they stated that there are no hidden tariffs/conditions - the new operator - a new approach to the client), from tariffs for local use the operator makes tariffs as in roaming (270 UAH when connecting services in roaming and 270 UAH = 9 UAH/day * 30 days, taking into account the conditions described above)

The company, in response to his request about the non-received notification, assured that the mailing was carried out (the day before the write-off, that is, January 22). When asked why the SMS did not arrive, the operator suggested that the smartphone did not have enough memory, Ivanyk said in an interview with the site.

His wife, whose monthly payment is due a few days later, received a notification at the end of December, but was left without an SMS in January. Two nearby users encountered the same problem - it is doubtful that both “ran out of memory” almost simultaneously or “had a long Internet session,” although a coincidence cannot be ruled out. There may be other reasons why subscribers do not receive notifications, but we were given only such versions.

There is no reason not to believe the operator’s words about the mailing that took place, but the fact remains that users sometimes “get” money because they did not receive a warning via SMS.

Disabling services in the mobile application

The My MTS application for Android and iOS almost completely replaces the traditional personal account in the form of a web version. Log in with your account password and gain access to manage your number from your mobile phone. The list of connected options is presented in the section of the same name - here they are divided into paid, free and available for connection. An SMS notification will notify you of the results of the shutdown.

The downside of the app is that there is no menu for managing mobile subscriptions.

The service is relevant only on the territory of Ukraine, since free mobile traffic from Vodafone using 2g or 3g technology is guaranteed only within the home country.

The tariff is set for each melody separately, the cost can vary from 0.1 UAH to 12 UAH per month of use.

The service is renewed automatically, the cost will depend on the renewal date. If at the time of renewal you do not have enough funds to extend the service, you will be charged 1 hryvnia per day, regardless of the cost of the full package. Upon replenishment of the account with the required amount for activation for the full period, the “Beep” will be extended automatically.

How to change the music on the dial tone

A subscriber who wants to change the currently installed music to another must go to the user’s personal menu and make the change there. You should be careful here: the cost of the new motive will be charged in full, and the previous beep will be irrevocably canceled. Replaced music, even if it has not yet expired, will not be refunded.

To unsubscribe from all paid content with one command, dial the request *152*2*2*3#. A few seconds after the operation is completed, a notification about this will be sent to your phone.

How does payment for Vodafone services work?

Let's imagine that we bought a Vodafone Red L package and connected to a monthly tariff, for example, on January 4. On the third of February the user receives an SMS notification

that tomorrow the system will write off the monthly payment, and therefore it’s worth topping up your account. But the SMS arrived at the wrong moment; the user did not pay the third, but decided to make the payment on the fourth.

On the way to work, I deposited 90 UAH into my account, called my boss to tell another story about being “stuck in a traffic jam,” and then an SMS arrived with a happy message that the daytime service was activated. It’s strange, there’s enough money to pay for a month, but they connected the day! What's the matter? Read the terms and conditions on the website:

The cost of the Vodafone Red tariff is charged monthly from the date of the first call. If the funds in the account are not enough to pay for the cost of monthly packages, daily payments and service packages will be automatically activated.

Unclear. There were exactly 90 UAH on the account. That's how much the monthly payment costs! What happened?

What unnecessary MTS Ukraine services can you disable and save money on your tariff?

Unnecessary for 43 kopecks a day you will receive an SMS message on your mobile phone, which holidays and name days are celebrated on this day. It turns out that you spend almost 13 UAH per month on these daily messages. We will disable the service; to do this, we send an SMS message with the word STOP to the number 9526 , after which the command to disable the service will be executed.

The gaming portal MTS Ukraine is a paid subscription service for pumping out money. The operator offers to download from the portal and install “applications and online games” per day for this service you will spend 1 UAH . And for downloading one game from the “Premium Games” you will have to pay 11 UAH .

Daily SMS greetings - unsubscribing is very simple, just send a message to number 7028 with the word Stop , which will allow you to save 3 UAH per day !

Useful, but not necessary for everyone, it helps you for 65 kopecks per day when making a call within the network (it does not work when calling other operators and landline numbers).

If the subscriber has a “Super Caller ID” tariff plan, the service also does not work. To disable the service, the operator needs to send an SMS to number 3012 or call *132# .

The idea is that the more you spend on operator services, the more bonuses you receive on your bonus account (Vodafone Bonus). Accumulated points (bonuses) can be exchanged for gifts, promotional codes and certificates from partners participating in this program.

We are talking about “00:00 and a little later”, four consultants could not indicate a more precise time when Vodafone will try to withdraw the payment:

But payment for daily use occurs at the time of any transaction: sent an SMS, made a call, went online. There is no way to deposit the amount during the day and immediately activate the monthly package; the system will only work at “00:00 and a little later”! In any case, that’s what Alexander, another call center employee, assured.

Mathematics: if the user did not provide a sufficient amount in the account before 00:00 on the day of payment, but deposited 90 UAH, for example, at 10:00 on the same day, then 9 UAH will be debited from him. for daily use, and the next night the monthly package is not activated, since the balance is already 81 UAH.

If the subscriber has not taken care of the money in the account before the day when the monthly payment is debited, then he has two options:

  • turn off the device for the whole day and ride the minibus like a fool without looking at your smartphone or turn off the Internet, do not call or write to anyone
  • top up your account for a month + a day (99 UAH in our example) to immediately use the connection and like cats

The most unpleasant thing in this story is that the site does not contain detailed information about the specifics of debiting for the month and day, and the call center employees themselves mention this “00:00 and a little later” only after a direct question about how the payment for the month occurs , if the subscriber has delayed payment.

An unprepared person will deposit 90 UAH into the account, receive an SMS about connecting to daily traffic, but will not attach any significance to the text (“SMS from the operator, this is about the payment that I just made, you don’t have to read it” - familiar?) until a few days later he will not run out of money in his account due to the more expensive daily package.

Of course, there were immediately people who fell for it. But the problems of the first Vodafone subscribers did not end there - some of them do not receive the very same SMS that notifies about tomorrow's debit.

Connection conditions

Every subscriber of a mobile operator can connect to a Vodafone store. There are two ways to activate a resource:

  1. Send an SMS message blank or with any text to number 2024 and receive confirmation of connection.
  2. Go to the online store, which is located online at https://app.vodafone.ua: get acquainted with the products that Vodafone offers: games, antiviruses, organizers, books, utilities;
  3. read the terms of service;
  4. By clicking Yes, try playing the best games without ads in test mode - three days free.

As part of using the Vodafone Market service, you are provided with access to a special catalog of games designed for children aged 3 to 12 years:

  • with a unique children's interface;
  • weekly updates;
  • without advertising and viruses;
  • with the ability to change the player’s status by increasing the level and accruing bonuses.

The first connection to Vodafone Market provides free use of the service for three days. Don’t worry, you won’t forget about the expiration of the promotional offer, since the 2024 number will notify you not only about this, but also about:

  • cost of the service;
  • method for disabling the service.

In the future, every seven days 9 hryvnia will be debited from the account as payment. This will provide access to download entertainment content for a week.

Payment in daily mode is also allowed: the fee for 1 day of access to games in the App market is 1.5 hryvnia.

How to connect and disconnect?

Thanks to the My Vodafone service, you can independently either disable services on your phone or connect them. This can also be done by calling the Vodafone operator and filling out a corresponding request with a call center employee.


In your personal account you can see a list of all available services, as well as find out all the connected options and offers at the moment. It also indicates their cost upon connection and the monthly subscription fee.

It is also worth knowing that for each specific option, there is a set of USSD codes and numbers for management. Using these combinations, you can connect, disconnect, view the status and perform other available operations.
