Comparison of current tariffs for 2021 in Kazakhstan: Beeline, Tele2 and Altel

Many subscribers of the “Active” operator make their choice towards tariffs with unlimited Internet. They allow you to use instant messengers (WatsApp, VK, Telegram, Odnoklassniki, etc.) and video services like YouTube without restrictions at high Internet speeds.

At the same time, the subscriber can still make calls to Active numbers and other operators. Below is information about the main tariffs with unlimited Internet in Kazakhstan, as well as how to connect and disconnect them. The unlimited Internet service is provided by the following tariff plans:

  • Real bezmilit S;
  • Real unlimited M;
  • Real unlimited L.

Beeline

Screenshot of the website beeline.kz
Beeline offers various tariffs, dividing them by device: 9 tariffs for connecting a phone, 7 tariffs for a tablet and 8 tariffs for a USB modem. Moreover, you can connect the tablet tariff to your phone, and the telephone tariff to the modem. The divisions by device are conditional, and if you throw out all the inhumane conditions that offer several megabytes per day, as well as special packages with free tariffication of various media content, then you will be left with tariffs that differ from each other in the number of prepaid gigabytes per month of use.

Altel

Tariffs for mobile Internet from Altel JSC
Well, for those who always knew that the word “unlimited” means with our mobile operators something like “here we put a beautiful word, like everyone else” and reads the terms of service carefully, We will show you new Altel tariffs, which are almost no different from the old ones.

ALTEL 4G

Now let's see how things stand if you decide to connect your home to the Internet bypassing wireless technologies. Several Kazakhstani providers offer Internet connection via cable. Unfortunately, not all of them are available in different regions of the country, and that, in principle, is why people connected to “unlimited” from Altel. And many simply did not want to deal with wires. But, as they say, if you press, you will have to.

Wired access is not limited in traffic, which is a plus, it has a more stable and, as a rule, high speed, but suffers from a lack of mobility. And this is the only disadvantage of such a connection. The largest Kazakhstani providers will extend their wiring into your home for about the same amount of money:

Calls to Kazakhstan via IP telephony

IP telephony allows you to dramatically reduce the cost of voice communications with Kazakhstan. For its operation, it is not telephone lines or channels of cellular operators that are used, but Internet channels. As a result, calls are very, very cheap, but the cost depends on the direction.

As an example, let's try to figure out how to use IP telephony for calls to Kazakhstan. To do this, we will use the services of the operator Zadarma. This is one of the well-known IP telephony operators in Russia with low prices. What should be done:

  • Register an account.
  • Top up your account.
  • Download the application to make calls.
  • Set up the application and call Kazakhstan.

First, let's look at the pricing. It is really low, the cost depends on the direction and operator to which the called subscriber is connected. For example, a call to Astana (the capital of Kazakhstan since 1998) on the Economy tariff will cost 2.08 rubles per minute - this is quite cheap. Calls to mobile phones are more expensive.

Account registration

The registration procedure is simple - follow the link, indicate your email address and your name, and set a password.

Next, go to your mailbox and confirm account registration. We log into your account and enter a phone number in it - this is necessary to receive a bonus of 20 rubles (enough for almost 10 minutes of conversation with Kazakhstan).

The entrance to your personal account is located on the main page - enter your email address and password, go inside. Now we add a mobile phone number, confirm our intentions with an SMS code and top up our account. You can top up your account in a variety of ways:

  • Bank card.
  • Electronic money.
  • Through terminals.
  • Through Sberbank Online.

It is also possible to top up by bank transfer using full details.

Setting up the application

Now you need to download the proprietary Zadarma application - it is available for Windows, Android and iOS. They are configured in exactly the same way, using SIP and a password - get them on this page.

We take the login (aka SIP) and password from here and write them in the application.

Next, we launch the application (in our example, this is an application for Windows), enter the login and password received in accordance with the above instructions, and wait for login. Now you can start making calls by dialing the number of the person you are calling - do not forget to connect a headset or microphone with headphones to the computer. You don’t have to connect anything to the laptop, since it has built-in speakers and a microphone. We set up applications for Android and iOS in the same way - you only need a login and password, no complications.

Please note that the login and password for your account are not involved in setting up applications - if you use them, the server will return an error.

We call directly from the site

There is an option to do without any applications at all, because Zadarma allows you to call directly from the website - just go to this page. A simple “dialer” with a keyboard will open, you can dial a number and call Kazakhstan. There is also a phone book for saving numbers.

Megaline

Screenshot from the website telecom.kz
It must be said that Kazakhtelecom still has ADSL Internet access under the Megaline brand, which gives completely inhumane prices, but due to the lack of competition, if there are no other options, you will have to pay monthly

Megaline Turbo Plus 8192 Kbps – 4600 tenge. Megaline Hit – 4096 Kbps – 3830 tenge. Megaline Start – 1024 Kbps – 1930 tenge.

If it’s not clear to anyone, there are 1000 kilobits in one megabit, the maximum speed of Megaline is about 8 Mbit/s.

Additional services

Holders of the “Personal” tariff can, for an additional fee, subscribe to services for which traffic is not charged:

  • Altel TV – 700 tenge/month. More than 80 TV channels, the ability to watch archived programs.
  • ivi + 30TV – 690 tenge/month. Access to the ivi online cinema, plus 30 popular TV channels as a gift.
  • Start + 30TV – 899 tenge/month. Access to the Russian Start platform, plus 30 popular TV channels as a gift.
  • Megogo – 690 tenge/month. A huge selection of TV series, films and cartoons.

Attention! You can connect or disable access to services in your personal account or through the mobile application.

Alma-TV

Tariffs from AlmaTV
The largest television provider has long and comfortably existed in the market for providing Internet connection services. Surprisingly, it has the largest number of tariffs, but the connection depends, as indicated on the website, on the availability of technical connectivity.
