Tariff "Gigabyte" from Beeline: mobile communication opportunities without a monthly fee

Technologies are developing rapidly, and now, more than half of Internet users access the Internet from mobile devices - smartphones and tablets, and not from desktop computers, as was the case before. But mobile traffic is often provided in limited volume and tends to end at the most inopportune times.

Taking this into account, the Beeline operator developed the “Gigabyte” tariff. Thanks to him, the company's subscribers, at home and while traveling around the country, have access to inexpensive high-speed Internet that will never run out.

More information about the Beeline “Gigabyte” tariff

This tariff is intended primarily for Beeline personal account users who need low-cost, high-speed Internet that will be used on various mobile devices, as well as equipment with a plug-in USB modem. In our case, the tariff allows you to send SMS messages and make calls, so smartphone users can safely use this tariff plan.

The main advantage of the “gigabyte” tariff is inexpensive Internet, for which there is no need to pay every month for high-volume traffic. The cost of the Internet in this tariff plan is only 100 rubles per 1 Gigabyte , and you need to pay for sending messages and making calls only upon their use.

Mandatory payments are not provided for in the TP, as well as a subscription fee. So the invested funds will be debited from your account only when you actually use the Internet, and if you do not use TP services, then accordingly you will save your own money.

For whom is the tariff created?

From the name alone it follows that the “Gigabyte” tariff plan was created specifically for the Internet. But voice communication is also available on it - not the cheapest, but not incredibly expensive either. The tariff was created for the most economical Beeline subscribers who do not need large volumes of traffic. For a long time they used the junior options from the “Highway” family and the “Internet for a day” options. But in 2021, these interesting Internet options went into the archives (but still work in some regions).

After closing the options, it turned out that small traffic packages are available exclusively on the tariffs of the “Everything!” line. But there you had to overpay for packages of minutes, and not everyone needs this. As for tariff plans for tablets and smartphones, they offer too large Internet traffic packages.

The “Gigabyte” tariff, which was born, instantly solved the problem of subscribers who did not need large Internet packages. It includes only 1 GB of traffic at maximum speed. Just one gigabyte and nothing extra. The tariff plan is suitable for any device, be it phones, smartphones, tablets or modems.

Traffic under tariff conditions

According to the standard terms of the tariff plan, it makes it possible to purchase 1 Gigabyte of Internet for 100 rubles. If you exhaust all traffic, then after the next access to the global network, you will be provided with a similar package with maximum speed at the same price. Each unexpired package is valid for 1 month.

The Internet speed limit depends only on the standard of the mobile network in which the subscriber is located at a certain moment. Data transfer rates in different network standards:

  • 4 g + Beeline (data transfer speed on average is about 60 Mbit per second);
  • 4 g/LTE (Internet speed in this network fluctuates around 20 Mega bits per second);
  • 3 g (reaches a maximum speed of 5 Megabits per second);
  • 2g/GPRS/EDGE (here you can get only 100 Kbps).

Each time you use all megabytes, the next package is automatically connected until the minimum amount of 100 rubles is available on your account. If there is not enough money, then the service is terminated.

In order to find out how many megabytes are left, enter a simple USSD request of the following format *102#, you can also get information by calling the toll-free number 06746, logging into your personal account under your account on the website or using “My Beeline”.

For subscribers who use more Internet traffic, such tariff plans as “Internet for tablet”, “vse2”, “vse3”, “Internet for computer” may be useful, due to the large volume of Internet traffic provided within these tariffs price per 1 a megabyte of Internet will be cheaper than usual.

“Gigabyte” connection (methods)

The transition to this tariff offer is free if it has not changed over the past days. Connection to this tariff option is available using the following methods:

  • dial command *110*0512#;
  • using the subscriber’s personal account on the organization’s web resource;
  • making a call to phone number 0674100512;
  • purchasing a new SIM card at a mobile phone store or in a virtual store.

As you can see, there are plenty of ways to activate the service. The most conservative option is to contact the communications office in person. If you want to act remotely and resolve the issue without getting up from the couch, you can use a USSD combination or a personal user account. If you want to get advice, you should call the company's phone number.

Sending messages and calls

With the “Gigabyte” tariff, you will not only be able to use the Internet resource on favorable terms, but you can also send SMS messages and make inexpensive calls. Since there is no subscription fee in this tariff, the price for each service is set separately.

Don’t forget to pay attention to, with which you can use all services even with a negative balance.

Advantages and disadvantages

Undoubtedly, the main advantage of the tariff plan in question is the high speed of the Internet not only at home, but also when traveling around the country. At the same time, the 4G+ network provides data transmission of 10-20 Mbit/s, the speed on 3G is 3-5 Mbit/s.

Other points in favor of the tariff plan:

  • there is no fixed monthly fee, money is charged only when using the Internet;
  • free incoming calls and messages;
  • reasonable cost of calls within the country;
  • the ability to connect the “Gigabyte” package an unlimited number of times;
  • Useful services “Always Connected” and “Unlimited Card” are available.

Unfortunately, the terms of the “Gigabyte” tariff do not allow the activation of such additional options as “Highway”, “#EVERYTHING is possible” and “Extend the speed”. Also, the disadvantages include the rather high cost of outgoing calls in international roaming.

Roaming and international communications within the TP

You can use the Internet and other services in this tariff in all regions of Russia where Beeline coverage is available. In the absence of network coverage, the Internet will be available at a price of 9 rubles 95 kopecks per 1 megabyte.

Special preferential conditions are available in some regions of Russia such as the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. For more detailed information, you need to go to the “Beeline roaming in Crimea” section; here you will find all the answers to your questions.

Packages of minutes and SMS

All incoming calls cost the user 0 rubles per minute. Local calls (outgoing) cost 2 rubles (to Beeline and landline numbers). Tariffing via SMS is as follows:

  • 2 r. it costs to send a message to all numbers in your home region;
  • outside the connection territory you will have to pay 5 rubles;
  • MMS will cost 6.6 rubles. a piece.

How to activate the “Gigabyte” tariff plan

First of all, to activate the “Gigabyte” tariff, you need to be a Beeline subscriber; below are the connection methods:

Using a short request in the form *110*0512# , after dialing, press the call key. Next, you will soon receive a notification that your tariff plan has been successfully installed.

You can connect your tariff by calling 0674100512 and following the voice prompts (free of charge)

Also, to change the tariff, you can use the voice menu 0611, on the official Beeline website by logging into your account, through “My Beeline” or by calling 88007000611.

Please note that switching from another tariff plan is free only if the switch was made at least a month ago; after the month, the connection cost will be 100 rubles.

How to check the rest of the Internet?

The “Gigabyte” tariff does not have an unlimited limit, so Beeline customers need to know how to check the remaining traffic. The offer relates to a prepaid payment system, which means the verification methods are used for this type of payment:

  1. Personal account or mobile application. To check, you need to log in to the system. In the main menu, the user immediately sees the remaining balance and the number of MB that can be used until the next accrual.
  2. Entering a request. On your phone, dial *102# and make a call. The method has no restrictions, the request is free. After sending the code to the network, the remainder is displayed on the screen after 1-2 seconds.

Beeline subscribers can activate the Balance service on the screen to check the remaining megabytes in real time. To activate, enter the command *110*901#. After connecting, the status of your account and package services will always be visible. To check the connectivity of the option, request *110*902#.

How to disable the “Gigabyte” tariff

Since there is no subscription fee for this tariff, it is not possible to disable it, but if you decide to refuse this tariff, then you can switch to another one or block your number.

It is worth remembering that current conditions and prices may change. Therefore, before connecting a tariff, check the information on the company’s website, or call Beeline user support.

Service Compatibility

The “Gigabyte” tariff from Beeline excludes the possibility of using additional options that reduce the cost of Internet services. If such options were activated previously, when changing the existing tariff to “Gigabyte” they will be disabled automatically.

An additional one is connected to the “Gigabyte” tariff, but is charged separately. The subscription fee is charged once a day and amounts to 4 rubles. The service itself allows you to actively browse social networks and listen to music using applications. Doesn't work when watching videos or clicking on additional links. Option traffic in the subscriber's region is consumed regardless of the main package. In intranet roaming, the service operates based on the terms of the basic package.

An undeniable advantage of the “Gigabyte” tariff is the free use of maps for navigation without taking into account the expenditure of MB from the package. To do this, just connect. The option allows you to use Yandex, Google and 2 GIS maps. When traveling around Russia, traffic will be consumed from the main package.

Activation of additional services is possible using self-service services or by contacting the company office or contact center.

Thus, on the “Gigabyte” tariff, services for voice calls are available and options that provide discounts on Internet traffic are not available. The exception is “#Everything is possible.”

Control your expenses!

You will have to monitor your mobile traffic expenses on the “Gigabyte” tariff yourself. But two control methods can help with this:

Do not keep more funds in your account than you plan to spend in a month.

Set up restrictions on the use of mobile Internet access on your device - all modern gadgets allow you to do this. Just remember that traffic consumption calculations on the device and the operator will be different, so set the access bar somewhat lower than you want to afford.

Let's sum it up

This tariff is suitable for those who do not want to pay for a certain amount of Internet traffic, because not everyone needs 15 GB; for most, 3-4 will be enough. The offer is intended not only for local use; it is definitely suitable for people who frequently travel around the Russian Federation. After all, in addition to a high-quality connection, you can also connect the unlimited navigation function for a small fee.

Activating the tariff will take a little time, and if this is the first change of package within a month, it will also be free.

We hope this article will help you better understand this tariff from Beeline.

How much do the other services on the tariff cost?
